    Rehearsal

We loved the experience with fairytale dances, we found them on Instagram and encourage you to follow them! David was really helpful on answering all my questions since the beginning and really profesional! As for the choreographer of my daughter Kevin; his very patient with the kids and very talented I was surprise to see how in the first rehearsal how her waltz came out together! I feel like they all bonded more after this! The studio is really nice too! So don't look any further and ask for Kevin to choreograph your daughters waltz and surprise dance! They all missed him!

    The Amazing Sal

I have no words to explain how amazing Fairytale Dances was for my daughter. From the very beginning David was very prompt when we inquired about their services, he was very professional, so nice, polite and offered us a variety of options. The Chambelanes were spectacular, friendly, thoughtful, always synchronized. David's choreography for the waltz and the surprise dance was simply beautiful. In my eyes they are the best Dancers in LA, they made my daughter shine on her special day. My daughter loved them and already misses their practices. One more very important observation: I believe Sal was a sensational main Chambelan, his movements were amazing and he was able to guide my daughter beautifully. My daughter's friends named him the Bachata King.

Thank you David for showing us 3 rhythmless poor souls how to put on a great dance routine for my daughter's Sweet Sixteen surprise dance. It was so much fun learning our dance routine at your studio. I want to go back and continue learning more dance moves but that's the only time my girl turns 16 THANK YOU David

    Thank you Fairytale Dance Studio

This is my second time using FairytaleDances. The first time was back in 8/2015 for my oldest daughter's quince, and I just used them again for now 15 year baby. Melissa and Carlos were so professional, they made it fun for the whole court and my daughter. I have heard stories from other choreography companies that have many ridiculous requirements for the kids. The parents of the court, the kids, my daughter and I are so satisfied and content with their work

Fairytale dances are the best! We hired them too coordinate 3 dances for or daughter's Quinceanera. All dances turned out beautifully and everyone compliment how unique and beautiful the dances were. Fairytale even helped coordinate our tradition procession, they live up to their reputation. Don't hire anyone else!

It was a pleasure working with David and Fairytale Dances. He gave us the upmost attention from day one until my daughters sweet 16. David was easy to work with and had so much patient with us, especially with our four year old hyper little boy. I highly recommend Fairytale dances for your daughter's quince or sweet 16!

I have no words to express how happy I'm with the Fairytale Dances. Especially with the choreographers Carlos and Melissa! They make your money worth every penny! Both of them have the best attitude and an immense amount of patience that pays off in the end. They made everything perfect. Look for no others but them!! I highly recommend! Thank you Carlos and Melissa!!

More recently, we enjoyed "Frozen" and "Come From Away" and are excited for many of the upcoming shows for the season! The production quality for this mid-size theatre is excellent! The theatre is not huge, but there are many seats to fill. We have sat in rows Q, R, and S, and the views are still great! Seats are relatively comfortable and easy to find as well. Show prices will vary on where you sit, but it does feel intimate enough to connect with the actors wherever you sit. Even though we live nowhere near the area, La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts has become one of our favourites. Additionally , the parking lot is huge due to the many businesses in this plaza, and we've always been able to park relatively near the theater. Plenty of food options here, too! We will gladly drive the extra miles to support the arts and enjoy musical theatre in La Mirada!

What a little gem in Uptown Whittier!…read more Parking is a breeze even though there is a little bit of a walk, but there is plenty and it is free. Snacks and drinks are available to purchase; wine, beer, cheese/crackers, candy, chips, water. Bathrooms are plenty and clean. But let's get to the auditorium, shall we??? It's so adorable and fancy! The architecture in this place is beautiful, although kinda funky too with it's bright colors. The first time I walked in, I literally was amazed. It feels like a "big league" playhouse, yet it is small and quaint at the same time. Seats are very comfortable with legroom and not a lot of "pardon me, 'scuse me" issues since it is laid out with short rows. I've literally sat in the vey back row of the main level and was able to see and hear perfectly! Kudos for the acoustics. The temperature in the auditorium is also comfortable; not too hot, not too cold. A wide variety of performers at the Shannon Center! Plays, musicals, entertainers, all music genres! Check out the Hawaiian series too. Need something artsy and entertaining to do? Check out their website and see all the upcoming acts.... you may just have your next date planned! While, yes, I am a biased and proud aunt of the female lead, I was still able to cast my biases aside and review the venue as a whole. That said, my niece rules, my niece rules,my niece rules. First off, the parking was super convenient, free, and located on the same lot and block as the theatre. The ticket prices were fair, as they went for $15 bucks a pop. Not too shabby for 2 hours of live entertainment all while supporting the college theatre department. The theatre was on the larger end of the small side. I'm not too sure if there's a larger stage, but the one that we were in seemed to suit the play nicely. I enjoyed that aspect because I really got to appreciate the nuances of each performance, attention to detail, and engage in the communal aspect of being part of a live audience. Good stuff. Oh yeah, the restrooms were also pretty big. On the downside, I wish there would've been more variety at the snack bar during intermission. Not a big deal. Go eat after the performance at one of the many local restaurants nearby. Also, the seats were padded chairs, so be sure to shift your position after some time. Overall, loved it! It's a shame I hadn't attended any previous productions, but rest assured that I'll be returning for more. Support the kids, support the arts!
