The only thing I've noted as a negative is at least one of their beers does a number on my stomach and that's fairly unusual for me. This was the closest brewery to my hotel. I stopped by to buy a four pack. It's pretty cool how they let you customize your four pack because they offer a variety of beers. The beers were good, they were on the lighter side. The person working the bar was super kind as she helped me to pick out my four pack. They even had a beer that was 9% alcohol. read more

We met some friends at Fait La Force Brewing when we were in Nashville a couple of weekends ago and had a great time. Just outside the Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood, the location is great: central but has parking!? There's a large patio for outside drinking, as well as a comfortable indoor space. And it's really quite large. Being a brewery, they - of course - have plenty of beer options. But I also appreciated that they had some non-beer options for those of us with a taste for something else when we visit (I had a ranch water and an orange wine while I was there). The service was great, and it was the perfect, chill place to hang out with friends, drink, and play some cards on a pretty day! I'd happily return. read more

Stopped by Fait La Force Brewing and really enjoyed the experience. This place has a unique vibe compared to other breweries -- definitely stands out in a good way. The location offers a nice view of the city, which adds a cool touch while you're hanging out. The ambiance has an old-style décor with vintage vibes, giving the space a cozy, character-filled feel. This is one of our favorite breweries in Nashville! The spot is a little bit hidden however we love trying all the different Belgian style ales. They will even give samples for you to try before you commit to one. There is a sandwich shop inside as well if you get hungry. This brewery, frequently host different events and they are very welcoming as well. In the month of June they have decorated for pride with rainbow flags everywhere and a pride banner, so we know that the space is a safe space for all. read more

Hidden gem alert! A friend recommended we check out Fait La Force on a Friday afternoon, and I'm thrilled to say that this may be one of my new favorite breweries in Nashville. There's free parking nearby, and the vintage vibes inside are on point. From the cool couches to sparkly chandeliers and the historic cafe menu, you can tell that the owners really paid attention to every detail. While they don't offer flights, you can order half-pours of different beers you'd like to try. Although I love Belgian style brews, I always like to ask the team what their favorites are. We were recommended quite a few fun offerings, and I think the Saucy Ballerina was my favorite of the four we tried. Fait La Force does have a small food menu, but they also allow you to pick up takeout from the nearby Il Forno to eat inside their taproom. We chose to do just that, and loved being able to enjoy the hilltop views inside the brewery while eating pizza and pasta. I've been wanting to come here for a while. Finally had a chance and I'm so happy I did. The selections here are going to be European styles - My favorites were the Golden Belgian and French Pilsner. I love you can buy half pours. Interior was large with eclectic seating. We sat on a beautiful couch that looked antique. Servers very friendly and helpful - we couldn't way this time, but they have Jambox sandwiches to buy which I know are very delicious. They are dog friendly which I love. There are multiple seating areas with cool ascetic choices that I bet would make great Instagram pics for people into that. The beers I tried were good. Unfortunately the Belgian Tripel I really enjoyed I killed the keg on so I was only able to have a tiny sample of it. Sad face. Fait La Force also offers multiple sandwich options to choose from thanks to a partnership with Jambox Sandwich Shop. I ordered the "Cool Mo Dee" which comes with ham, white American cheese, bacon, jalapeno mint slaw, and apple bourbon jam. I found it to be quiet tasty! Of the many breweries I visited in Nashville, this one has...by far...the best ambiance. The outdoor area feels like a superhero base. It overlooks Nashville and has a massive open-air deck. The interior is completely different. A little ornate, a little opulent and very stylish without coming off even a bit tacky. The beers here remind me of one of my favorite breweries in Anchorage: Cynosure. All their beers fit into two categories: 1) Belgian Ales: spicy, yeasty, peppery, phenolic beers of higher than average strength. 2) Lagers: pale and crispy chugger beers. I'm not a fan of #1 anymore (why? I don't know. In my early 20's Belgian beers were my favorite, not I'm not into those phenolic flavors that I largely percieve as "musty") but I am a bornagain Lager Boi. The lagers here were fantastic. Crisp, clear, and refreshing. Most breweries seem to only have one or two lagers on tap, here they made up half the taplist. Definitely give them a try! read more

Love this spot. It's tucked away in Wedgewood Houston. It's a great brewery, giving major local vibes. It's very aesthetic, with beautiful vintage furniture and decor. Their menu is simple but delicious. They recently added a sandwich vendor. I haven't tried it yet but have heard great things. The service is friendly and kind. Highly recommend this spot. For my non beer drinkers, their canned Paloma is quite good. And my favorite part about this place is the convenient and free parking out front! read more

I was invited to a Special event hosted by Nicole Bailarina and it was absolutely wonderful! This Latin Night had a dance class by a Special guest followed by social dancing and even Performances by artists visiting from Atlanta as well as Nashville's own Kyla Harris with a Guest DJ from Minnesota. There were multiple IPAs, Lagers on tap, a good selection of non alcoholic drinks and snacks at the bar for those who had the munchies from dancing all night. You can find Fait La Force Brewing at 1414 3rd Ave S, Ste 101, Nashville, TN 37210 in South Nashville. This is a somewhat commercial or old industrial manufacturing area - the brewery occupies space in what appears to be an old warehouse or factory (there are other interesting occupants - you could see into the spaces but it was so late when we arrived the others were closed). Parking is along the edges of the building, either on the street or in some designated areas - you'll probably need to climb stairs to enter the brewery (unless there's an entry towards the high ground end of the building but that wasn't the entry we used) The taproom is a really large space that makes you feel like you're outside - I liked it a lot. It's also filled with traditionally framed art and some amazing light fixtures that will remind you of a Parisienne Boudoir - comforting and on the verge of luxurious rather than kitschy. I came in with my friend Will H. who had visited the brewery the last time he was in Nashville with a few of my other beer-nerds. Looking over the menu (an older light-up from the 60's or 70's) I saw some items that you don't typically see around the Music City including a Euro Pale, Belgian Golden, a Farmhouse/Saison, a Belgian Tripel - the emphasis was very European and it's rare locally to find so much along the Belgian style (my preference). We tried the following: * Orchestral Fanfare Farmhouse Ale 4.2/5 - Well done saison with typical Belgian yeast banana nose, nearly creamy somewhat earthy/peppery body and smooth sweet finish with a hint of clove. * Heathen Philosopher Belgian Blonde 4.3/5 - I do love a competently made golden, this has a warming coriander body with a good dose of Belgian yeast nose, great mouthfeel and a sweet finish. * Frosty Pop NEIPA 4.2/5 - Nice NEIPA with fruity tropicals, notes of papaya and guava, in a hazy body, finishes well balanced and dank with low bitterness * Guest Tap: Yazoo ETF Open-Bootleg Dark Wild Ale 4.5/5 - Loved this, nice tart fruity body with dark fruit notes of plumb and dark cherries, barrel somewhat vinous with a tannin hint, crisp sweet funky finish. We sat at the bar and conversed with our server who was very knowledgeable regarding the beers - service was exceptional. Really loved this place and wish we could have stayed longer, unfortunately we arrived pretty late and they were close to shutting down. read more

Fait La Force opened earlier this year (2022) and it is one of my favorite new spots. Sits on Chestnut Hill between 2nd and 4th on the south side of Nashville. First, the atmosphere. One of the most eclectic breweries in the area. Bearded Iris is another one (older furniture at Germantown, more art deco in Sylvan Supply). But, Fait La Force brings it to a new level in some ways. Very light and open place with its French royal furnishings (I guess technically Belgian royal?). Behind the bar there are a plethora of old photographs and an old style cafe menu board for their beers. When it first opened, they only had a few of their own on tap, but that has been rectified with only a cider and some other style they are not going to brew on the board. The bar has ample seating if you prefer to sit at a bar. They also have an outdoor space with picnic tables and will open up the "garage door" windows on temperate days (more airflow). Sitting on Chestnut Hill, you have a decent view of downtown only partially obscured by trees. And, if the windows are open, you can stick you head out and see the Woo Girls on leaving party bus central as they turn right on 4th for downtown. :P Service: All of the beertenders do a great job. For those in the scene for any length of time, you might recognize Zach, who has beertended at both Tailgate OG and Various Artists (RIP). The owners/brewmasters are often on site and willing to have a nice beer chat. Beer: Their primary style is Belgian, ranging from dubels and triples to Saisons and Farmhouse ales. They also have the requisite set of IPAs (hazy) and they have RESIST! (Ukranian beer with donations for Ukraine aid) and a hoppy pils (India Pale Pils is how I would describe it), as well as a baltic porter (less common style). Overall, I feel they have pretty much nailed the styles (for those on Untappd, beers in the upper threes with a few low fours, so decent for the Nashville scene). Beers served in full and half pours. Food: None directly on premise, but you can order from Il Forno next door and have food brought over. Did not look at the menu on premise, but think it was focused on pizza only. If you have not tried Il Forno, it is a very nice Italian restaurant. Bringing the food over gives you a better view, however. Overall? I have been thrice thus far (said in my best Shakespearean English - yeah, I know, not Belgian) and it has been a good trip each time. And I am sure I will circle back again. read more

Had lunch next door and we decided to check out this place, so glad we did. Greeted when we walked in and not sure if it was staff or owners at the helm, but they were so nice and walked me through a few choices. Selected a half pour of the Euro Pale & Hazy IPA and neither disappointed. We did have our little guy with us, so 1) It's kid friendly during the day & 2) we didn't get a chance for another pour (but we are definitely coming back). Great seating options: bar seating, table seating, few fun couch options (totally hope guests don't spill beer on that fabulous blue couch) and even this barstool seating by the large window that has a great view. Prices are reasonable, fantastic beer, great customer service and nice atmosphere! All in all a great experience. A new brewery has come to the Chestnut Hill neighborhood! They had their grand opening this past weekend and while I was there, it reached max capacity so there was a line waiting to get in. They signed a least on 2019 with the plan to open mid-2020 and then the pandemic happened. It's been a long road and I am so happy for them finally getting to open their doors Feb 2022! There's parking on all sides of the building but limited. Ride sharing or taking an Uber/Lyft are always recommended. You walk up some steps and there's an outdoor area that hasn't been prepared for guests just yet. Kids were jumping in the pools of water. You walk straight in and turn right to head to the bar to order your drink. Currently on tap are pale, Belgian golden, saison, and a couple IPAs. I was very happy to see they also offered Diskin too. There are several different sitting arrangements from tables of 2-6 and beautiful blue vintage couches in the center. My friends and I were lucky to grab those seats and they were super comfortable. I felt like it was Monell's bc we sat next to people and shared the space. Everyone was friendly. They had a DJ spinning for the grand opening (BeewNCircles) and you can order pizza from Il Forno that is conveniently located next door. I look forward to coming back when it's not too crowded and so happy to see more establishments opening up in my neighborhood. read more

We got here on, what we thought, a random Saturday at 1pm and it was PACKED. Turns out it's nearest to the Nashville SC stadium and it was the first match of the season. However, all 15 of us (in different groups) all said the bartender with the half black and half white hair was a complete Crab (being so nice).
