HEROS! I was planning to host a surprise engagement party in my backyard, but the inclement weather forecast was not looking good the day prior. The first place we could think of to reach out to was Monday Night Brewing. I knew that the brides-to-be love going there for trivia nights, any of us that live in Nashville love the beer selection, and the ambiance is hard to beat for our out-of-town guests. The event manager Christiana (spelling?) returned my call within 30 minutes and was so kind about our situation. She quickly reserved the "Music City Lounge" section for our party of ~40 people, debriefed the staff on our accommodations, and kept in touch for whatever was needed leading into the following day. WHAT A PARTY-LIFE-SAVER!! Other honorable mentions are Matthew and Flip behind the bar who made our event feel like it was the only priority in the bar that day. The atmosphere of this area is absolutely stunning. The service is great. We go for ballad bingo occasionally and also enjoy playing games in the outside area. The drinks are good, they do have a snack menu but don't serve traditional bar food. It does get very loud sometimes, so I rated 4 stars due to not being able to hear other members in your party unless you go outside. read more

I was NOT ready for this size of this place -- what an awesome surprise! It's huge, super chill, and has an incredible selection of drinks and goodies. We had a large group and sat outside (in one of the MANY seating areas) and enjoyed some perfect weather. I had the aperol spritz and it was exactly what I hoped. We also HAD to try the jello shot (of course), and it was delish. It was a margarita flavor and boy, did we taste it. Great ambience! Great decor in a 100 year old building. Plenty of seating, even outside. Bartenders really know their stuff. I had an espresso martini slushy and my husband had the Taco Tuesday. I was still feeling peckish, so I ordered the Secret Bodega box which came with hummus, beer cheese, pickled veggies, and pita. Was hoping for the pita to be warm but I can't complain, it was still good. I still needed something to sack on with my espresso martini slushy, so I got a bag of honey mustard pretzels. Monday Nights is a favorite of mine. Excellent beer choices, a variety of seating options both indoors and outdoors, and friendly service. Taking off a star because the parking situation is now a paid parking garage, when they used to have a free lot. It's also always freezing in there, so I prefer to sit outside when the weather allows for it. But overall, it's a great place to grab a casual drink and they allow you to bring in outside food. read more

On our trip to Nashville we had an early lunch and decided to go for a walk after eating. We took a nice jaunt to Monday Night Brewing. Very nice place located on the banks of the Cumberland river. I'd love to come back here in early Summer, a great outdoor vibe with lots of trees and outdoor seating. Service was good, the place was very busy and the beers were delicious. We had the Death Raptor killer IPA and the Space Lettuce double IPA. Both are highly recommended. Absolutely stunning ambiance here, that's definitely the highlight! There's an outdoor area that looks like a stage from Mortal Kombat 3. Lots of distressed brick with an "urban ruins" feel. I thought the beer was also above average. I love their unique system of displaying all the beers they have on tap, they are categorized by the "spirit" or "feel" of the beer: light & crisp, hoppy, dark, sour, etc. That's a pretty great way to organize brews and I'm shocked I haven't seen it at other breweries. This place is apparently a chain, but you'd never know. It doesn't have that cheesy brewery chain vibe present at places like BJ's or Rock Bottom or Gordon Biersch. Great experience here--fantastic beer, really cool interior and dog-friendly area and plenty of parking. They had the fire pits going since its recently gotten cold at night in Nashville but it was warm enough near the fire to stay and enjoy the beer. Being a recent transplant from Atlanta, I was pumped to see that Monday Night Brewing has a presence here in Nashville! Much like their Atlanta locations, the Monday Night team has a knack for picking great locations in really cool, repurposed buildings. This location sits river front in what used to be a meat packing facility and they did a great job adding all the newer industrial elements while also keeping a lot of the aged and original elements of the building...A main focal point and a location beacon if you have lost your way, is the large brick smoke stack that can be seen from miles. Just follow the smoke stack... Outside of the space looking really great, it is also well laid out and utilized with a large interior taproom that features high tops, standard tables and several lounge seating sections, but the outdoor space is where it is at! Outside the deck has picnic tables and Adirondack chairs, then down below more picnic tables, chairs and space for cornhole and such are available. As with most breweries, they are super dog friendly and have a great spot for the pups to potty and walk. While Monday Night is not known for serving food, you can pick up a bag of pretzels at the bar, but if you wanted something more substantial, they do have a food truck that sits in the lot during peak times! I mean, I know you didn't come here for the food, but it is super nice to have after you down a few beers! And speaking of beers, I have sampled many from Monday Night and I always find myself back at the Taco Tuesday. It's a classic, light, yet flavorful beer that goes perfect with a summer afternoon or a fall evening! Service was solid here as well. The bartenders were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable! Parking is not an issue, as they have a large dedicated gravel lot. Overall, absolutely in love with this Monday Night location and beyond pumped they made it to Nashville! read more

All I can say is wow! I think this is the best brewery in the city because of the beer and the ambiance itself. The brewery is built right on the river, and they used the outer brick skeleton of an old warehouse, which creates the coolest environment. What is really awesome about this brewery is the amount of options. First off, they have about 10-12 beers available at all times. I love the Blood Orange IPA. In addition, if someone is gluten free, they can have one of the slushies or one of the ciders. Also, they have a large list of non-alcoholic drinks, which you don't see at many breweries like this. Even when they are crowded, the line moves very quickly. They also have really fun themed nights. I have been to two of their movie nights (Goonies and Ferris Bueller's Day Off), where they show a movie in their outdoor space on an inflatable screen. Beer: so many choices - Pilsner, Sours, Barrel aged, IPA - they have it all and real tasty. They also offer drinks, wines, and boozy slushy. Prices good - 2x1 Tuesdays amazing. Went to MNB for a Pride Pregame party. Walked in to immediate seating and open and clean space. Walk up bar was great with quick service! I love that the NCAA WCWS softball tournament was on the screens! As well as the Pride flag display. I did not come looking for food because the yelp reviews didn't show a full menu. They have a few snacks but not what I would consider a restaurant so manage expectations. I'm sure the snacks are legitimate. Wonderful place and nice date spot. Went on Grand Opening Day and was very excited for Nashville's first taproom. Beautiful large indoor and outdoor space. Staff was extremely friendly. Drinks: Great variety and selection. I got the Mischief Managed (Unfruited) and I was disappointed that they ran out of the Passionfruit and Guava version on opening day so I got the unfruited version. Tasted like a typical sour. For stouts, they had some interesting ones. Tears of my Enemy Vanilla was a nice stout with a hint of vanilla. I also tried Come Te Llamas, which gave that hint of cinnamon and horchata flavor, very spirit forward. Food: light snacks available like a hummus and cheese box, cookies, and googoo clusters. Wish they had some more bar food like wings or fries as it would be nice to pair that with drinking and watching games on game day. We saw other tables bring pizza from another place outside during their time here. Space: Huge space, chill vibes, industrial look inside. They have cornholes outside. My biggest complaint is that with this large establishment and how it fits that many people, there's only 2 single-stall restrooms. For the time I was there, that long line never ended. Parking: they have a decent amount of spots in their lot, but I guess it fills up as a lot of people come here with their groups. very rocky/gravel in the lot, and there's some street parking. I'm going to get straight down to business, this place has EPIC beer! Easily one of the best breweries in Nashville. They've got a great selection of stouts and they are all bangers. They have some excellent IPAs as well, featuring both hazys and your more traditional west coast style. Every time I've gone there's been a food truck there so you can always grab a bite there or bring something with you. Super chill and helpful staff as well, they'll definitely hook you up with something great if you tell what you're looking for. Parking is easy, but the lot can definitely get full on Friday and Saturday night. read more

Another hit for Monday Night (ATL brewery that is also in Birmingham). The space is very nice. Plenty of seating both inside and out (even more out), cement bar tops, plenty of taps, and what looks like a space for live music. They are supposed to move up the street in a couple of years (near the greenway), but this space is nice for what they are doing now. The beer? I have always liked Monday Night's beers, so appreciate what they brought here. The barrel aged stuff would normally be my highest ranked, but there are a few that are a bit strange in this batch. I like experimental beers, so kudos for trying, but the vanilla barrel was a bit off. I think the Apple Brandy barrel stout would go well with the cheese plate. They also have some clean IPAs (not against NEIPAs, but does EVERYONE have to fill their menu with hazies?), some lagered beers, and a few sours (unfortunately, my fave of the group tapped out during the soft opening :-( Hopefully more soon?). Make sure to grab some of the Preservation Society (PS) exclusives while you are here, as you won't find them at other Monday Night locations. See mondaynightbrewing.com/nashville-menu/ The food? Very limited (Cheese Box, Pimento Cheese Box, Hummus Box, pretzels, cookies, and goo goo clusters - at least some Nashville?). The cheese plate sounded the best of the batch and may go back in at some point and pair it with the Apple Brandy Barreled Stout (Tears of My Enemies). The place? Parking is still a bit munged up, although I was able to roll up and find a rock star spot fairly near the door. With the number of people at the opening, some people were parking on the street about 2 blocks away. It will be a while before the construction is done, so plan accordingly. The building itself is beautiful. You can tell it is an old factory and the vibe still fits (weathered brick, pipes left across the ceiling. The staff? We sat at the bar, so we were within grabbing distance. Everyone was friendly. Except for one of us sitting for a bit with an empty, they were always on top of it, but I chock that up for the crowd and getting used to working this type of venue, so I give a pass on one minor faux pas (sorry T). If I had to name a negative, it would be 2 single stall restrooms for a place this large. I can see this being a sticking point at some time, especially if they continue to attract this large of a crowd. read more
