Our family was devestated. Dillons step father & Sam Clark have known each other years but never in this capacity. He made one call to him shortly after hearing the news. Thats it . The incredible, exp. staff at Sam Clark'sFuneral home worked quickly with the state of Ca. & the mortuary service needed out there to ensure requirments & documentation were in order for out of state transfer, before my family went out there to oversee his return home. They kept us informed and updated. they compassionately guided us through the process and gave my son the utmost of care & respect. They took care of all the details , based upon our wishes, necessary to accomodate the 350+ guest that came to the celebration of Dillons life. They coordinated with the sheriffs office & the 40 + motorcycle riders to give my son an escort fit for a king. What stayed with me the most though, was the genuine sincerity felt from owner Sam Clark, who actively stayed involved & if we were unsure or to emotional to speak he offered us personal advice pulled from years in business, all which contributed to the most memorable farewell anyone could ever have. While our hearts stay heavy they are full of gratitude to everyone at Sam Clarks Funeral Home. I had the unfortunate need to have Georgia Clean come into my life (2022) when I found out that my…read moreparent had tragically passed away. We were in need of their services due to the nature of the death. Hindsight, this is the point where I should have known I was being taken advantage of. I was sold the idea that they would "work" with the insurance carrier. This partnership between Georgia Clean and my loved ones insurance carrier never happened. Instead, it was my responsibility, on top of everything else to facilitate and manage this process.... And it became extremely UGLY. I want to start by saying the actual staff that showed up to the property (2 days of work), were amazing and kind. I could not have asked for better interactions with those caring individuals. These individuals do work no one else is prepared to do and for them, and ONLY THEM, I am appreciative. When the 2 staff members showed up to the property in an unmarked box truck, they put an ipad in front of my face and asked me to sign in a few places stating that they were allowed to enter the property. To my knowledge, I was never given a copy of this agreement (I checked my email and could not locate). I called the insurance carrier and explained this situation, they gave me a claim number and I promptly sent this to Georgia Clean. From that point, until invoicing to the insurance company, I had no additional contact with them in regards to pricing or billing. Fast forward several months, I get a call that the insurance carrier hasn't paid the invoice. I asked for a copy of the invoice and realize that it was $30K.... Thirty Thousand dollars for less than 2 full days of work, that in itself, seems like highway robbery! Especially when they removed a very minimal amount of materials from the house. They literally fit in one large box. I was onsite every single second the workers were there so I know what came out the house and the time spent. I called the insurance company and spoke to the adjuster. They stated that the invoice had a lot of items being charged that were outside of the UCR (Usual and Customary Rates) and that there were things that are reusable like tools that they would not cover as it was expected that they had these items on hand and in fact reused them. I did notice, no tool that was used was new, so that made sense. I connected the insurance carrier and the office person at Georgia Clean and I figured that was it. They did confirm they received a check for more than 50% of the charges. No one told me that this wasn't agreed upon so I assumed that the invoice was closed. Fast forward 6-9 more months, I hear from a claims adjuster hired by Georgia Clean who wants me to agree to let them contact the insurance carrier and the mortgage company. I stated that I would not sign additional documentation and they needed to work through this as they stated they would in our initial interaction. I was under the impression you were paid for your services and so whatever you were not paid for, you need to handle this with the insurance carrier. At this point, communication went silent and I again thought this was now handled. I later found out, Georgia Clean never attempted to collect additional funds from the insurance company. Fast forward a few months (2024), I started receiving HARASSING communication from an attorney office. At this point, I was being threated to be sued for the full amount, even though a payment was already made to Georgia Clean. Come to find out, they never cashed the check and were seeking FULL PAYMENT from me. I started a very long process to try to close this matter for both Georgia Clean and myself. Through the process, I tried really hard to maintain my patience but the attorney put so much unnecessary stress on me by threatening me weekly with a lawsuit and even trying to run a background check on my assets so they can file suit against me. I must have been threatened by this poor excuse for a human being 20 times, in writing. After multiple emails and phone calls. I was able to get the insurance carrier to issue an additional check and Georgia Clean agreed to a settlement. Had they not, I was prepared to bring in my attorney and the firms litigator as I was done with this whole ordeal. After settlement acceptance, the attorney had issues with the payment remitted and the insurance carrier had to have the payment re-issued and mailed to Georgia Clean... Only to find out they have moved offices and NO ONE TOLD us. We had to have a check issued again and overnight it to stop the threats of lawsuits. Fast forward again, a few weeks later, we were told they no longer had the original payment issued, they had discarded it!!! We had to have YET ANOTHER check issued. On the day I was threatened yet again, the client already had all payments in hand.

I called to explore my options about using this company. It's also for trauma situations. They gave…read moreme a ball park quote and needless to say I was traumatized by the price per day of 4200.00 to organize and clean a 1000 square ft of space. Now I can't comment on their work but 700 for a dumpster delivered and picked up from them. The going rate for dumpster delivery & haul off is between 350 to 450. I know cause my home burned down and we had to get them for cleanup. I was in construction and clearing a lot including digging and backfilling a basement was 7000.00 with having heavy equipment move onto and off the property including dumpster for stump removal and equipment operator hour fees. I can't see how their pricing is justified. This was not a house fire cleanup. Just an organizational issue and getting rid of some much stuff people donated after our house fire. We'd come home to our new home and there would be boxes of things ppl kept leaving for us in our driveway. We ended up with more than we lost. I was overwhelmed and am looking for help but even if I were very wealthy, I still would not pay those prices. 4200.00 per day is a lot of money for anyone. I'm not trying to leave a bad review but rather one that informs you. I've seen so terrible reviews about this company's work and the accusation they gave in return towards their unhappy clients that left those bad reviews and those rebuttals are terrible and under handed accusations towards an unhappy client who again left a bad review about this company. Needless to say, I will definitely not recommend or use this company.
