    Fajita Sub Factory trailer
    Bruce K.

Great lunch and friendly service from this small food truck that's inside an Airstream trailer parked in a gas station up the hill from Silver Spring metro station. I opted for the fajita bowl which is served in a small styrofoam container. A base of rice and topped with beans and chicken. On the other half of the bowl, avocado salad, shredded cheese and queso. Oh, and two tortillas. Red chile and a hot green avocado chile and some shredded onions added afterwards from their "salsa bar." It was a very tasty and quite filling lunch. As for the gal taking orders and payment, she was outwardly friendly and smiling. Very pleasant to deal with. There is a bench behind the trailer but I think the idea here is that you take it to go.

I might have had unreasonably high hopes for this little food truck... You operate out of a vintage Airstream: Sold! You are serving a new, at least to me, type of latin food called a corn "sub": Sold! You're located at a gas station: As some of my favorite MD institutions: Sold! You have 18 reviews with 4.5 stars: Sold! The problem was... I was a little nonplussed about the food I ordered: I decided to get the Corn sub: Carne Machada which is described as "Shredded beef with aji dulce". I've never had aji dulce, but I assumed that it was a sweet sauce as "Dulce" is Spanish for sweet or candy. They asked me if I wanted cheese on on the corn sub, and I asked for whatever cheese would normally come on it. They were like "whatever you'd like", and then I said, what type of cheese would you put on it? And they were like "queso fresco". So I was like... Ok, that's perfect. Well, the whole thing turned out to be way way salty and a bit greasy too. The "sub" ( I keep putting quotes around that as I don't think anyone would describe it as a sub) is more of a large circular sandwich. The outer corn griddled pancake thing they use instead of bread is decent, albeit does not have much flavor (except for a good deal of saltiness). The beef was cooked well, but it just seemed to be lacking depth. And the aji dulce... I don't know where that was. Still trying to figure it out, but for now it's a Cold Case. I'll most likely go back and try something else from the truck, maybe I just chose the wrong thing. I did also get some of their "homemade yogurt" which was really good and has fresh pineapple on top. It hadn't completely set up, but the flavor was good, and I've been on a yogurt kick so I was happy to see it. Also, I'm really curious and interested why half of the truck says that it's selling fresh Italian pastas. I would have asked, but I was in a bit of a hurry and there was a long line forming behind me.

Chicken salad with Queso de mano- arepa

OMG!!! So I'm going to start off by saying I experienced my first arepa this past summer and I have been obsessed ever since. I was SO happy when I saw this food truck parked outside of Nordstrom Rack in Farragut Sq. I found out that it was actually their first day with their second truck! The second truck will be located throughout DC, which means I don't have to go to Silver Spring to get a good Arepa. I got the chicken salad con queso de mano arepa. It was absolutely delicious and I felt like I was in heaven the entire time I ate it. The service was fantastic, which lined up with the quality of the food. If you are looking for an unforgettable experience, check out Fajita Sub Factory and try a Arepa. There are so many options, sure to meet everyones taste buds! Enjoy

Amazing tacos! Closest thing to what I had in Mexico. And 3 for 6 bucks ... can't beat it. I've also had the specialty drink which is beet, carrot and orange fresh juice. You would think there are many places to get fresh juice in downtown silver soring, but not the case. This place fills the gap. Love the little ladies behind the counter too. My new go too!

Fajita Bowl with half Chicken Chorizo and half Ceviche ($7.95)
    Lynda N.

I ordered the Fajita Bowl with 1/2 Chorizo (chicken sausage) and Ceviche (seafood) and got to try some of my friend's steak. Can I just start off by telling you how great their service is!? Their service is both friendly and attentive even when they are crazy busy. Portions were great for the price and I really liked that about them. The food is made to order so you'll wait a bit longer. Just know you're waiting on freshly prepared meats. Service was 5/5. My food was 3.5/5. Why? What I didn't like was that the steak was a bit dry and the seasoning in the blended guac they have at the counter tasted weird. Chorizo and ceviche was alright. I just like pork sausage more. I'm gonna try regular chicken next time. Pros: Ability to pick 1/2 of 2 types of meats Great portions for price Freshly made Friendly service No card minimum Cons: A bit of a wait if they're busy (but honestly it's not that bad) Didn't enjoy their optional sauces at the counter (I'll just stick with the guac that comes with my Fajita bowl) Overall, I'll be adding this to my lunch rotation because I did enjoy their food. It smelled fabulous and made my coworkers jealous ~haha.

Was in DC for business and got gas on the way home and spotted this food truck. In no way did I expect these little sandwiches to be this amazingly delicious! Was my first time having an arepa and I loved it. Trying to find a local place that makes these now!

Hands down best arepas I've ever had. So much flavor and are absolutely stuffed with meat. The owner makes every fresh even the juice. I bought the pineapple juice it's nothing like store bought, it fresh pressed pineapple juice. I am definitely going back, however the owner did mention her hours are not consistent yet but I will look out for when it is open.

We just loved it! The lady was very kind, and they made our food ready within 4-5 minutes.

I hate when I take the time to carefully write a detailed review that addresses each aspect of the experience only to find that it didn't save. So now, you'll have to just look at the 5 stars and take it at face value. I'm so annoyed. But, I will say that the food is fresh, authentic, flavorful and homemade; portions are generous; staff is friendly and helpful; wait time corresponds to "made to order" nature of the food; credit cards are accepted. I didn't care for the super sweet mojito lemonade that tasted like sugar cane water. I've been there twice in one week. Each time we fed three hungry carnivores and still had left overs. Cost was $35 both times, but note that we ordered 5 "entrees," a side of sublime guacamole and a couple of drinks. We'll be back.

3 tacos. One chicken sausage two steak.

Love these Arepas and the staff. From owner to every worker they are friendly and glad you came. They call me by name and it makes me feel that this is MY place. You won't be broke or disappointed when you stop in. Yes they are in a gas station parking lot.

Who knew the best food in Silver Spring comes from a food truck.Grabbed a fajita sub with strak and chicken on Friday.Let me tell you it was outstanding. .Had the super sad face when i stopped past today and found out it was closed. If D.C. didn't pass its new law i would move to Silver Spring for this truck lmao. Seriously check this spot out. And the sub was only 6 bucks

After pondering over the usual lunch options, I decided go on a food truck excursion for lunch today. On any given day, just outside the office, there's always several food trucks making their rounds in the Arlington-Ballston area. Luckily for me, Over the Rice decided to show up! Over the Rice seems to have a cult following. As soon as they tweet their location for the day, you can bet there is a line of folks waiting to partake in their fare. This I know, because every time they are anywhere near my office building my coworkers run for the doors during lunch like a cow herd. And, I see why! The food is always fresh and the flavor is there. This is my fourth time visiting this truck and I can attest one thing for sure....the food and taste is consistent....actually, really good. You pick your choice of meat(s): Steak, Grilled Chicken, Lamb, Pork and there is a vegetarian option as well. Then, the assembly of a great meal begins. If you are indecisive like me, they offer a combo meat option which is usually my go to....Chicken n' Steak or....when in the mood to change things up....the Chicken n' Lamb! One word...its "HittinNStickin!" The meat is so tender, juicy...and most of all seasoned! It is served over rice (yellow basmati rice), of course and comes with a side salad and two quarter slices of pita bread. The food is more than enough to share...in my opinion. The finisher that makes the food a hit....is the Tzatziki sauce ANNNDDDDDD this spicy kind of sauce I can't seem to put my finger on it! But, whatever it is.....make sure you order extra of both!! lol THE GOOD IN A NUTSHELL: Overall, you can't go wrong with this food truck! Fast friendly service, fresh tasting, flavorful food, good portions, and you don't get a sense of bad food handling practices like some food trucks or feel like you are going to need a pack of Tums to alleviate the bubble-guts...after consuming it. Nothing but a thumbs up experience and clean operation here. THE EIGHT BALL IN THE CORNER POCKET: The long lines are the only down side, but look at it this way...."good things come to those who wait"....besides, if there was no line then that may not be a good sign for sure! lol

Instead, the call was answered by a male individual phone comes up from Vienna and did not appear to be affiliated with the restaurant staff on-site. This alone is unacceptable. The individual who answered was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Multiple witnesses overheard the conversation, which has been documented. We were not initially seeking a refund -- only verification of the missing order and whether it could still be picked up. There was zero effort to assist, no accountability, and no urgency to resolve the issue. This level of disorganization and lack of customer service is unacceptable for any restaurant. One such place was a Mexican place as my old fav Mexican place on Kent Island (Señors Chile) had great but extremely greasy birria tacos. So I went to visit a friend who lives in walking distance from the spot for lunch recently. She ordered the veggie burrito and I ordered (pic below) Quesabirria tacos (no onion). When we got back I was WOW'd by not only how yummy my food was but how it wasn't oozing with grease! The consume that comes with for dipping is just enough for me personally and bursting with flavor. As you'd expect from most food trucks the service is made to order. When you go up to the counter and tell them what you want they make it fresh! The truck is parked on Rhoside Green Park (sandwiched between Courthouse and Rosslyn) so if you live in either neighborhood it's easy to access from walking distance. And since it's near an Arlington green space there's usually some seating nearby you can pop a squat and eat lunch. Given spring time is approaching this seems more doable. Just yesterday I was driving by to visit the same friend and saw a long line for this place! Most people in Arlington know how great this spot is, it is a terribly kept secret! Can't comment much on how long the line was busted as I went during a time when it was windy (but warm) and it was mid day. When I drove by it was pushing dinner time past 7pm. I love the food here! But since I live closer to the storefront location in Lyon Park I usually end up ordering food from there (review on that location is coming soon)! The only con which could be personal preference was my rice was underseasoned with salt. Luckily the sauce from the meat compliments the rice. The service is great - they are super super friendly and helpful with answering any questions or helping you decide what to order. The price is so reasonable like spending under $15 on a platter is unheard nowaday. I will definitely be back to try something else on the menu.

I ordered: +the Nasi Goreng - #2 on the menu; this is an Indonesian fried rice with chicken, egg, shrimp, veggies, and a side of pickled veggies; savory rice with tons of ingredients; this was pretty filling! +Sate Ayam - #3 on the menu; these were grilled and marinated chicken on bamboo skewered, dressed in a peanut sauce, served with a corn fritter and pickled veggies; this combo also comes with rice, but I opted out of this; I absolutely LOVED this dish! The chicken was so juicy and tender, and their peanut sauce is thick, creamy, and SO SO SO GOOD! I literally could eat thousands of these! +a Teh Kotak Jasmine Tea box - nicely chilled and super refreshing Arnis' Kitchen is family-owned and -run local business, and they are very community-driven, which is amazing! The trailer was parked outside my nail salon and I thought I'd give it a shot for dinner on my way out. Took it home and *chefs kiss* (just look at my photo - you can see the amount of noodles). There was a slight wait, which I was fine with - because they were making it fresh. The truck itself and the ambiance are just cute and clean. If you are near this trailer, do yourself a favor and get some food!

Their menu offers various starters (pot stickers, eggrolls, and spring rolls), pho, banh mi sandwiches, and even boba drinks! Note that you order and pay via the tablet, that's fixed on the right part of the trailer. We came here for lunch, and we ordered: +a Banh Mi - we went for the 'grill sesame beef', which came in a nice crusty baguette, topped with pickled veggies, jalapenos, soy sauce, and mayo spread; we opted out of the pork pate and the cilantro; you can also add an egg at an extra charge; generously filled with large pieces of beef; wished there were more pickled veggies and more mayo! +Pho - we had a choice of 2 proteins from brisket, steak, meatballs, tendon, and chicken, and we opted for the brisket and the steak; loved how the broth was packaged separately from the rice noodles, onions, bean sprouts, jalapenos, basil, and lime! The broth was super soothing and very flavorful! +a Oolong Milktea - the oolong taste was distinct, and this was a refreshing drink +and, a Peach Milktea - this was a little too sweet for us, and the seasalt cream topping was a little odd Staff were very kind and welcoming, and there's about 2-3 seats at the counter of the trailer and a small little foldable 4-seat table on the side to enjoy your items. Metered street parking can be found in the area. +friendly service! +some seating available

To be honest I'm not sure if the protein matters since there is so much happening in the bowls. You can tell everything is fresh, maybe the exception are fries are already cooked and not to order. Doesn't bother me since they still had good texture. Cool atmosphere and felt very inviting. Didn't try the green sauce but the red sauce is very mild. I much prefer this to other bowl spots and it's pretty convenient to get to. We'd want to try to cafe as well.

It was my first time at cafehive and I was impressed by the large selection of drinks and desserts on the menu. On this visit, I only tried their coffee, but I will definitely come back to try their desserts. I love the concept of the build your own desserts with the unlimited toppings! As for drinks- Tiramisu latte is the most popular and banana bread latte is one of the new ones and was recommended to me to try by the cashier. If you are deciding between the two, the tiramisu has the stronger coffee taste whereas the banana bread is sweet with a slight banana flavor. The only thing I will say is while the menu is beautiful the drinks don't really come out looking like how I expected based on what I have seen on Instagram with all the foam and toppings.. maybe an off day but the tiramisu latte I thought had mascarpone cold foam for example.
