Rito Loco on grub hub cancels orders all the time!! I'm only a few blocks away, they're on the food service apps, claim to deliver but they DO NOT. Do not use an online delivery service with them. Waiting for my refund...unprofessional and unacceptable.

In case you are wondering if they are good or not... :-)

So... I'm addicted... to the Rib Rito. I admit it. I have a problem. There is just something about that overstuffed tortilla...wrapped and filled beyond capacity with hot and juicy rib meat. There is just enough pico de gallo for flavor with little of the useless filler that you'll find in your average, everyday burrito...as these are exceptional for sure. With every bite of this luscious roll of meatiness, I tell myself it will be the last...but the enticing flavor just tempts to take just one more bite...then another...then another...and then another...until there is nothing left but some fresh tortilla chips - now left all alone in their container. Withdrawal starts as soon as the flavor of that last bite fades...but, by that time, the Rito Loco Truck is long gone... Try it if you dare. But be warned, you may get hooked too!

My husband is obsessed with food trucks. Even with his recent acl surgery, he would still make his way from work to check out the rotating lunch options. With glowing 4.5 stars, I convinced him to line up with me on the only day I had off thus far since we moved to the city (yay to visit husband at work!). Surprisingly, Rito loco was actually one of the few that he had not tried. My husband ordered the rib burrito and I ordered the Mojito chicken salad. The food were served before I had time to put my salsa/sauces into condiment containers. The owner was friendly and gave us free bottles of water to go (he felt bad that the snapple offer was still available through check in). He even put together a side of chips for my salad so it wouldn't get soggy. I wish I can say all the food was 4.5 stars awesome but it wasn't. My Mojito chicken was extremely bland. It pretty much tasted like it came straight from a can. My husband's rib was very flavorful however! I should had just been a full fatty (why salad why?). With the pressed/toasted tortilla, melted cheese, juicy pico de gallo, and pulled apart pork rib, his burrito was money. Lesson learned. I will be sure to skip the salad and stuff myself with their popular pressed burrito instead!

Got a chance to check out this wonderful food joint during my day trip to DC & wasn't disappointed. I had the Rice Bowl with Pork & i have to say it was very very delicious. The depth of flavors was present, meat very moist & flavorful, thinly shredded. The owner (Louie) stopped by to check on the food to make sure everything is OK & gave us complimentary fried avocados & a free Yelp check-in taco..!! Not disappointed at all. The freshness of the avocados was greatly enhanced with the depth of the Chipotle sauce! Everything made from scratch & no short cuts, which shows in the flavor profile. Look forward to the new menu & expansion coming up! Good luck guys.

Mojito Rito $8 (5/5 NOMs) Mhhh chicken good! I just love the soft and light texture of this creamy chicken burrito. I would eat it for any meal of the day. This thing is huge! yet not that heavy so I didn't feel like I just ate a baby. Can't wait to try more of their dishes. Rib Rito Burrito $8 (4/5 NOMs) Oh yea pulled baby back rib burrito! That thing is pretty massive piece of meaty goodness. Watch out, it has a nice little kick. Not too much spice, just enough to make your mouth tingle. Everyone should have this big piece of meat in their mouth

This review is for Rito Loco's Catering service for a Birthday Party. For our son's first birthday we wanted to try something different so we looked at different food trucks. After contacting several trucks, a friend of mine introduced me to Rito Loco. When others denied coming all the way to Clarksville, MD from DC, Louie had no problem traveling the distance. He also catered on a Sunday, where most trucks told us no. If you advertise that you cater parties and events then shouldn't you be available on Saturday AND Sunday? Anyway, we were just glad that Rito Loco was available, his burritos are much tastier anyway. Louie, the owner of Rito Loco was very friendly and easy to work with. He worked with us to find the perfect menu to fit our party and budget. Louie and his associate was on time, very friendly to our guests, and shelled out burritos and tacos so fast. Now on to the food: We are not big pork eaters so we asked Louie if there was a substitute burrito or taco for the Rib Rito, and he said he would come up with a fish taco, a new recipe. And I love him for it because IT WAS SO DELICIOUS!!!!! Not only did he take the time to create the perfect taco for our event (which made me feel so special), he made it so freakin delicious!! Our guests raved about it all day. And I'm pretty sure people ordered extra to take home. Rito Loco's burritos are filled with meat, fresh veggies, and great seasoning, thats it. Nothing else needed. It's not overstuffed with rice and/or beans to make you crazy full, its the perfect amount of protein and carbs. They do serve beans and salsa with chips on the side though and let me tell you, these beans made me want to swim around in it. He cooks it with all kinds of different herbs and spices and you can tell theres a lot of love that went into them. When I saw those bay leaves simmering in them, I knew it would be great. Our guests had an endless supply of burritos and tacos that day and they loved every kind. Hiring Rito Loco was the best decision I could've ever made. It was great food AND I didn't have to cook!! So simple. I would hire Rito Loco for any event and can't wait to try their burritos again soon! Thanks Rito Loco for making Nas' party a big hit!!

Using my pen for reference. Don't expect a chipotle-sized rito here -- but at least you won't fall asleep at your desk!

Rito Loco seems like a solid addition to the food truck lineup at Farragut Friday. I sampled their Mojito (Chicken) Rito today, and was happy. It tasted healthy for starters, which is good for those who might not want a cup of rice for lunch. My only complaint is the chicken was quite dry (which made it chewy). I'm giving them a placeholder 4 stars for now and will be sure to try a different menu item and update my review. I really wanted to try the Rib Rito, but knowing what Ribs are like, I had a feeling I'd be biting into a tortilla full of pork fat, and didn't want to knock these guys down for that. If someone has tried it, I'd like to hear your experience! The co-owner who helped me, Daniel, was super friendly and made our quick conversation very pleasant. He made sure to express his sincere thanks for giving them a try since they are new kids on the block. Had to give him a shout out!

Rito Loco has quickly shot to the top of the list of my favorite food trucks. I stumbled upon Rito Loco I had the Rib Rito and it was delicious. The rib was flavorful. The portion size was huge, might easily measure out to a pound but it wasn't a situation where size was more important than quality. Ingredients were fresh and everything was well put together. Service was good, the guy was friendly and responsive to questions. Food also comes very quickly, I guess they make the food throughout the day and have serve ready for order. They also somehow keep them surprisingly warm. Definitely will make Rito Loco a part of my regular food truck rotation.

Rib Rito - pretty damn big

I felt like I was "cheating" today as I walked past one of my favorite trucks (Bada Bing) to try out Rito Loco. I was promptly greeted by the proprietors who introduced themselves as Louie and Dan. I opted for a Rib Rito and received a free Snapple for my first Yelp check-in (bonus!). Louie quickly pulled my order out of a warming cabinet (already made) and handed it over with a frequent dinner card explaining the card and how to find their daily locations online (he doesn't know I am a food truck stalker :) I don't know if they have changed their portion sizes based on reviews - but whomever commented that the Rito was not very big should try again - this thing had to weigh at least a pound (see my picture with orange highlighter for comparison) and comes with a side of fresh tasting tortilla chips. The pulled rib meat was delicious, nicely seasoned with a bit of a kick, a nice addition of pico de gallo and a small amount of cheese. I wish I had asked for (or been offered) some of the sauce (see other comments - you have to ask) as that would have been a nice addition with the chips. I also wish I had grabbed some napkins as the Rito is a bit drippy. Also, bonus points to Rito Loco for using environmentally friendly cardboard packaging. Only minor quibble was that the Rito was not very hot (rather unevenly warm on the inside) - part of this could be from holding in the cabinet and I could chalk up a small part to my 10 minute walk back to the office. However, all and all, a nice meal, for a good price, served by friendly vendors. I will be back to try some of the other items in their line-up and will update my review accordingly.

So I came on Tuesday thinking that it was 1 dollar tocos , but it wasn't for carry out only delivery. Which was okay, I was gonna carry out anyway. The manager (I think) was obviously completely overwhelmed with the demand of the delivery and was actually pretty rude and I was kind of taken aback. But I'm gonna order anyway because the food is great! I checked in on yelp for the free snapple and they didn't have any!!! I ended up with their bootleg fruit punch and no one dollar taco. Also their guac looked pretty unappealing

Burritos of course are a most to have, but don't forget about the tacos! Amazing!!!!
    Fernanda D.

Definitely these guys know what they are doing. I have always been a fan of their burritos, but then I decided to try the tacos and I was amazed!! The flavor is on point. The fish tacos are by far my favorite, I have tried them in different places but Ritoloco have the best fish tacos everrrrr!!

Just outside the L'Enfant Plaza Metro stop (on the Maryland Ave side), you'll know you're in the right place by the crowds of Federal office workers queuing up for their favorite truck. There's a great variety from southern soul food to barbeque, from pho and banh-mi to Indonesion, from Philly cheese steaks to gyros. My daughters each had beef pho from the Pho-Nation and Vietnamese Food trucks (piping hot flavorful broth, plenty of noodles, slices of tender beef, cilantro, and accompanied with hot sauce and lime wedges on the side); my wife had the falafel salad from the Quick Bites truck which was outstandingly tasty and light, made with a chickpea and fava bean combination with a herb blend that gave them a unique green color on the inside; while I had the gyro platter from the same truck. Excellent lamb meat, well-seasoned, good tzatziki sauce, and accompanied by a fresh salad and stewed chickpeas. About $9 each for these meals and the trucks take credit cards. Don't settle for the tourist trap food trucks lined up near the Smithsonian museums -- these are terrible with microwaved pizza slices and hot dogs only ... make the short walk to these real food trucks and you won't be disappointed.

The chicken was well done and well seasoned, the corn was tasty, and the potatoes were better than what I was expecting. Can't really explain it but they were like roasted and mashed at the same time.. whatever it was it was great! Oh and that sweet orange sauce that they gave me took the chicken to another level. Both times I've ordered the same thing - a quarter dark meat with one side. It comes with basmati rice (which you can sub out for a different side) and a choice of a salad, coleslaw, and corn. I've chosen the coleslaw both times - I find it so unique, with its cabbage and basil-like dressing. Definitely NOT your usual slaw. I will try the corn one of these days, though. On to the chicken - They give you a good amount of chicken and it is very, very juicy. I can't comment about the skin (I don't eat the skin, I take it off...I know to some of you that's a sin!) but my co-workers have previously commented that it is nicely seasoned. They also provide you with a mild barbeque sauce, and today they gave me a new sauce, which was curry-based. It's slightly thicker than the barbeque sauce, which while it has good flavor, is a bit thinner (it complements, not overpowers, the chicken). I alternated between both sauces today. I have to also complement the owner/manager - I had exactly $8 in cash (keep forgetting about the taxes for food trucks!) so he let me go without paying the $.80, that was really nice of him. I'll be sure to give it back to him next time! Overall, a solid, filling meal, and I would return!

**** 4.5 stars ****…read more As one of the progenitors of "better" street food for the DC area, Andy Kim and his family have been providing a quality lunch time meal at a fantastic price for several years now at their famous L St cart (http://www.yelp.com/biz/bulgogi-cart-washington#hrid:P03Wi3K_BGfBmyV7WowE_g). I'm not sure whether the idea to open up this additional spot was to cash in on the food truck craze currently engulfing the District, or if he just wanted a second location and this was more convenient than lugging around another cart each day. Whatever the reason, I'm glad he's here. This new location, right in front of the Metro Center station, is marginally closer to me, and it's a pleasant shady walk the whole way around noon. The truck (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/GD4QOboiYcXUKbFw5DvjbA?select=8kLF59cmaVQyGxu6x_Mzdw) is just as easy to spot as the cart ever was, so just look for the bright yellow spot in the midst of drab grey buildings. Andy said that he and his dad are now manning this truck, while his mom and sister take over operations back at the original cart. The prices are all the same as before, $7 for any combo of beef or chicken, spicy or not, however they do not offer the kimbap sushi here like they do at the cart, which doesn't really affect me. I'm not sure if they make all the sauce at once, and then distribute it among the two locations each day, but it definitely tasted slightly different than what I've gotten from my visits to the L St cart. The 3 times I've picked up my usual spicy combo (a mix of half spicy chicken and half spicy bulgogi) from here it has been the perfect balance of heat and flavor. Add in a double order of their sweet vinegar "salad" to cool off the heat and I'm totally set. That's really the main reason I'm bumping this up to a 4.5, because at $7 for a giant plate of food this is really tough to beat. If they could ever get their kimchi to not suck I would probably give them a 5 and put them right up there with Fojol Brothers.
