Recently visited to watch Mexico vs. Ecuador. This was my first visit to La Cosecha and I loved the energy from the sidewalk to the upstairs seating. At Mosaico there was a well-deserved wait and I ordered a pelua arepa and sampled the pabellón empanada that my friend ordered. Each of them were delicious and the meat was moist. I was hoping for a more defined flavor or seasoning but wouldn't mind ordering again on a slower night. Service was excellent given the number of orders being placed and I loved seeing the illustrated children's books for sale.

It was a decent portion but I'd prefer if the cheese was melted. Would consider coming back, but I think I'd rather spend the money on two tacos. They made it kinda quick but used these buzzers which make an annoying beeping sound (using texts would be better). Still you could do worse than an arepa in the fun vibes at la cosecha.

The food vendors within La Cosecha are consistently good. What I enjoy about Mosaico the most are their arepas. I like the fact that I can customize my meat and cheese selection. And they're always going to be a good quality. The reason why I'm not rating this place 5 stars is because I have YET to try a food dish that wow'ed me in terms of taste and great value. I will add that they always have friendly staff members who work here, and that I never have to wait too long for my food to be handed upon ordering.

This was my first time coming here and I got the pabellon empanada, perro colombiana, and passion fruit juice. The hotdog was delicious! I love all of the different toppings and sauce that is unique compared to a traditional hotdog. The empanada was also very flavorful and crisped to perfection. I also really enjoyed their freshly made juices. Everything is at a reasonable price for a generous portion. The cashier was kind and the food came out quick! It is inside another building. I will come back to try the other items!

Came here after church for lunch, order my usual trio. Love that option as you can pick 3 different arepas. Delicious as per usual - doesn't disappoint!

Eep! I always have a great time at Arepa Zone. I was excited to finally try a meat-filled arepa, so we got the shredded chicken and cheese one with added plantains. We also ordered a shredded beef empanada, and of course, I can never come here without getting tequeños. That sauce is everything. I always take home whatever I do not finish. The chicken was a bit too dry for my liking, but the seasoning was great and the arepa flatbread was cooked to perfection. The empanada dough was a great bite as well, fried on the outside but still soft on the inside.

We really enjoy their perro caraqueno which has Parmesan cheese, small and crispy fried potato sticks, cabbage, onion, a garlic-cilantro sauce, and of course ketchup, mustard, and salsa rosada! We also grabbed a perro colombiano this trip which has bacon, mozzarella, fried potato, cabbage, pineapple sauce, garlic-cilantro sauce, ketchup, and salsa rosada I promise you can't go wrong with either one, but the perro caraqueno remains mi favorito! I've also enjoyed their traditional breakfasts!

Good food and friendly staff! I had a camarones empanada (shrimp). It was fried perfectly! I also had a pollo mechado arepa (chicken). The shell has a great crunch and the chicken was flavorful. The black beans were alright. But, the star of the meal was the mandocas fritas!! They are plantains mixed with corn dough and almost like a sweet hush puppy. They have open seating throughout La Cosecha so you can sit at a table or high top table or even a version of a picnic table. There's plenty of seating. It's a very welcoming environment.

Tostones Trio I selected 3 different meats (pork, chicken, beef). The pork was a bit bland and lacked flavor. The chicken was also bland in flavor, tasted like they watered it down to make it stretch. The beef was fantastic. How they missed the mark with the others and the beef was flavorful, tender and juicy is beyond me. I loved that the tostones were made to order. Had I gotten all beef it would've gotten a higher rating. I also would've appreciated if the beef was simmering in a pot all day low cooking. Instead they pulled a baggie of pre-portioned meat from the fridge and reheated it. Still good, just doesn't hit my foodie standard to feed my soul status. Pabellón Empanada Again the delicious beef, was well seasoned and balanced well with the sweet plantain and black beans. Nice thick amount of cheese. Fried okay, with only a couple of over cooked longer spots. The flavors in this made it the star of the meal. If this is reheated then they do a better job ensuring it feels like made to order. That garlic cilantro sauce that comes with it, is FIRE! Again the consistency was off. I went back an hour later and got 2 more and they were not as good. The plantain, beef, and bean ratio was off. It also was more garlicky in flavor and the beef was tough this time. I also took a star off because they aren't consistent. I had the tostones trio yesterday and it was knock your socks off good. With the mashed plantain being crispy outside with a moist middle and had a perfect amount of salt to enhance it. Today the mashed plantain was very dry and flavorless. All in all a good foodie adventure just not consistent.

I love Arepa Zone so of course I love Mosaico. I've always had friendly service but that seems to not be the norm in other reviews, so I hope that changes overall. I enjoy their arepas, empanadas, and tequenos. Everything has always been fresh and delicious. It's one my favorite stops at La Cosecha, which is one of my favorite places in DC. I always look forward to Mosaico.

I ordered mandocas, a traditional Venezuelan dessert! They topped the mandocas with cheese and a side of sweet sauce. Very tasty, however, the food wasn't very warm. The service was good and La Cosecha Food Hall was a great atmosphere

Delicious arepas with crispy shell and soft inner core. The Vegan arepa overstuffed with black beans, plantains, garlic aioli, and mozzarella cheese that I requested was tasty! The arepa was overstuffed as the beans were falling out with every messy bite! The Mango juice was refreshing and delicious. So glad this food truck has expanded to brick and mortar store locations and made its way to the Latin American food hall!

Dined in restaurant on a Saturday around 8pm. When I approached the hostess table, she asked "table…read morefor 2?" even though I was by myself. She was most likely on auto pilot and appeared embarrassed when she realized it. I politely smiled and said (confidently), table for 1. We solo diners need to be loud and proud! I digress... Before being seated I found the restroom. I found it odd that it was extremely dim. The main dining room was brighter than the restroom! I also saw the Photo Booth. Interesting addition. $5 for pictures. I was seated at a small round table with two chairs by the window. The restaurant was plenty busy, and I'm just glad I wasn't asked if I wanted to sit at the bar (I didn't). My server Noel brought two bottles of water: still and sparkling. I requested lemon slices, which he brought. And I proceeded to finish the entire bottle of sparkling by the end of the meal...guess I was thirsty! But I appreciated the option of both. I forgot to ask for a straw, but saw them in a container at the register right behind my table, so I got one myself. After ordering I noticed a nearby table had some bread so I asked Noel if they served complimentary bread. He said yes and apologized for not bringing it initially. Not that I needed it, but I don't eat bread with butter often and this was a night out to indulge a bit. There were two slices, nothing special. My food arrived within about 10-15 minutes and looked so scrumptious. I ordered the lamb and short rib meatballs and Brussels sprouts. The meatballs were pretty good, but what made them even better was the tzatziki sauce. I didn't realize the green rice was on one side of the plate until I was almost done. That tzatziki sauce was really all I needed to go with the meatballs. It was cool and creamy to go with the dry, meatiness of the meatballs. I honestly wish there had been more of it! I did not finish the rice, which didn't look super appetizing because of the intense green color. I will say though, I'm not a fan of spicy food but the tzatziki had a kick. I think perhaps due to chopped jalapeños. I tried to avoid them once I realized. The Brussels were delicious! Roasted to perfection, not too charred and not too mushy. I requested the green goddess sauce on the side because I'm not a huge sauce person, but once I tried it, I couldn't stop. Again, the combination of the creaminess of the sauce with the flakiness of the Brussels was a genius pairing. During the meal the beverage manager stopped by. I didn't have any drinks with the meal, but perhaps I will return to see what they have. Noel brought the bill at my request, then brought over the portable device so I could pay at the table. While that process is efficient, it's always awkward leaving a tip when the server is standing right there. Anyhow, overall it was a good experience and a delicious meal!

It ended up being a little dry, but the fries were crispy, well-seasoned, and a hit with everyone at the table. My son had the NY strip steak with mashed potatoes and really enjoyed it. The steak was cooked well, and the mashed potatoes were incredibly creamy and smooth. I ordered the sugar snap pea salad with salmon, and it was exactly what I was looking for on a hot summer evening. The salad was fresh, light, and refreshing, with a subtle hint of mint that really made the flavors pop. The salmon was perfectly cooked and paired beautifully with the salad. My friend ordered the sugar snap salad with chicken Milanese, and the portion was enormous. The chicken literally covered the entire plate! It looked delicious and would easily satisfy a hearty appetite. The Mac & cheese was cooked well with a nice crust on top. Overall, the food was fresh, the portions were generous, and there was something for everyone. I'd definitely return the next time I'm in DC.

LAST STOP on the For the Culture: DMV Food Tour...DESSERT!…read more Tipsy Scoop was the very last stop of the tour, and honestly, the concept is GENIUS. Boozy ice cream with all kinds of different flavors, plus non-alcoholic options for people like me who don't drink. ‍ We were given three samples as part of the tour (don't ask me the names because I absolutely forgot ). I also bought two additional pints to take home with my own money, so clearly the ice cream passed the test! It was good, not overly sweet, and even the alcohol-infused samples weren't so strong that I couldn't tolerate them as a non-drinker. The shop itself is VERY tiny and was SUPER busy, with customers constantly coming in and out. The communication between the tour and Tipsy Scoop, however, was...interesting. The staff apparently didn't know our group was coming, and that was actually shared with another paying customer while we were there. There also wasn't much direction from the tour hosts, so our entire group basically walked into this tiny shop at once. Now, I completely understand why that was a problem. We were a LARGE group taking up a lot of space in an already packed store. What I didn't love was how the manager essentially kicked our group out. I understood the need to clear the space, but the delivery could've been handled a little better. At the same time, based on what we were told, it didn't appear Tipsy Scoop had been properly prepared for a whole food tour to descend upon their tiny store. So I'm not putting the tour's coordination issues on Tipsy Scoop. As a business, I liked the concept, enjoyed what I tried, appreciated having a non-alcoholic options, AND left with two more pints. Would I return? Maybe. Just not with an entire tour bus behind me.
