We came for a small celebration and this place was just a little sad. No one was inside sitting at 5:20pm on a weeknight. No good smell apparent. The bar was not out for anyone to see. The chips were hard and a little thick, salsa was good but thin and very little onion or tomato in it. I had the cheese enchiladas and they were plentiful, and melty, but bland. Food was a little bland but good. It used to be more flavorful and spicier. Even the chip dip was lacking, it was a sauce with onion. The refried been were lackluster, the taco salad was runny ( both the beans and shredded beef became runny). Sadly the normal best item was not the same, the shredded beef was dull, yet still tender. I come with a group and this has been noticeable a little here and there, today was way off. The service was slower than normal, Pedro could have been overwhelmed and having a rough day. Hole in the wall in the business district style place. I tried the beef fajitas. I mean, if you named your place after it, it's likely to be good, right? Not as much as you might think. Lacking some basic fajita seasonings, it wasn't skirt or flank steak. A lean meat sliced and sliced again like a square meat noodle. I've been coming here off and on for a few years. It used to be just so-so. You know decent food for a very good price. Over the last year when I've come in it's been less than less than good. Today was absolutely horrible. I ordered the chicken enchilada. To be honest the chicken was done very nicely. However they just basically poured a can of sauce on the plate it was coagulated or edges. The cheese wasn't the traditional melted cheese that you would get or even a nacho cheese. It was literally the graded craft type cheese that you get in a bag. It's treated with powder so it doesn't melt or stick to each other. It made the dinner less than appetizing. So the portion was very good size for the money but the flavor and quality was not very good at all. This is a probably the third bad food experience I've had and overall worst ingredients use that I've had here. I'm done as a customer. read more

I got: -Steak Fajitas with Flour Tortillas ($18.95) - great portion size, could have made two meals out of it but I'm gluttonous and ate it in one go. The flavor of the fajitas were great! The steak was a little chewy but again it was to go. Provided all the fixings and the sides and the flour tortillas were solid. -Regular margarita ($7.95) - a solid margarita. ==My high hopes were dashed== We stopped in here for dinner because it's called Fajitas. We thought, if it's in the name their fajitas must be their signature dish... not so much. When we walked in we weren't really sure if we were supposed to choose our own table or wait to be seated. We weren't directed either way by the staff so we just sat down at our choice of table. We were quickly given menus and chips & salsa. The salsa was very bland but the chips were good. We ordered drinks, chicken fajitas and steak fajitas. Our drinks took awhile but wasn't unreasonable since there were a few other people in the restaurant. When they arrived they were small but very good. The fajitas were... not so good. VERY bland and flavorless for Mexican food. There is very little peppers and onions and almost no seasoning/marinade on the meat. The plate with all the fajitas fillings came with all the basics of gauc, sour cream, pico, lettuce and beans but NO CHEESE! I'm a cheese freak so I'm super disappointed when I'm snubbed my cheese. They brought us each 3 small tortillas which was actually almost enough for the small dish of meat we received. I did ask for a couple more because the warm flour tortillas were the highlight of the entree. I'm giving 2 stars based on our disappointment in the food, since that's what we came here for, but I must say that overall the staff was very friendly and checked in on us a couple of times through our meal to ask if we wanted additional drinks. We won't be back unless we hear about some great improvement on the food here but for anyone who doesn't like a whole lot of spice or seasoning on their food, which there are a lot of those types of people, this would be the perfect place for you. read more

The wife and I found this place because it's Near Portland Cider. It was perfect because we happened to be craving Mexican food. We didn't know what to expect. We where pleasantly surprised with the Pollo A La Crema. The Crema part was different than any Mexican restaurant we go to, because the Crema part was cheese integrated into it and it made it so much more satisfying, like fulfilling your soul. To be honest my wife and I could have shared it there was so much goodness. The Tortilla Soup is what she ordered and the cilantro, onions the broth... everything just tasted so fresh and equally delicious (ingredients come separate if you order to go.) Burritos, enchilada, tortas, are all HUGE and i eat alot, yeah i could eat 2 or 3, but im not human like most. Again, get the green sauce when saucing it up... or go sauceless... id say most def these are canned sauces, and green is always better from a can. Table salsa was watery and spicy, not flavorful or chunky like it use to be. Chips were not fresh. Margaritas were okay, average. I'm sure there was alcohol in it, or at least I think there was. Menu has shrunk over the years, far fewer options. Service. No one came by after our food was served. It was not busy so there is no excuse. I had the De Camar, aka x2 shrimp enchiladas covered in a white sauce which I wasn't particularly pleased with. Over priced at $14.45. My date had a three item combo plate at $9.95. She said the chile relleno was just okay. She had leftovers as I did too but only because I didn't feel like being a pig. Oof. Yea - so uh.... Not good. Nope. And let me tell you, my standards are not very high when it comes to taqueria-level Mexican food. I actually enjoy a nice plate of some cheap Mexican food. But this was actually kind of gross. I got an enchilada plate. First of all the Spanish rice was crunchy in the middle. Ouch. The refried beans were absolutely devoid of any flavor. Not even "salty" which would have been enough for me. Just bland brown paste. The worst, though, was the enchiladas. Two water logged corn tortillas filled with cheese that wasn't even completely melted and slathered in a sauce that - I don't even know if you could call it enchilada sauce. It was weird it was like, gelatinous. The whole plate had this kind of rancid oil flavor, and I couldn't even finish half my plate but I still wound up with a pretty gnarly stomach ache. I wish I had read the reviews before I had ordered! Never again! read more

Our first visit will be our last. No one greeted us when we came in, although multiple staff members looked at us, and eventually we seated ourselves. The music was playing so loudly we could hardly hear ourselves think, let alone have a conversation, and we both left with headaches. Our server was extremely inattentive and never returned to see how we were doing after delivering our food, which took well over 20 minutes to make even with only 4 to 5 other tables occupied. My drink ran out and even though we could clearly be seen by the staff at their counter, they were all too busy loudly laughing and chatting away and ignored us despite making eye contact and repeatedly trying to get their attention. Eventually I got a drink refill, and it was then we saw the drinks were being poured out of soda cans. The salsa was completely liquid, watery, and bland, though later bowls were chunkier but not chilled like the first bowl was. We ordered combination dinners with cheese enchiladas, cheese and onion enchiladas, a chile relleno, and rice, as well as a hard shell taco with ground beef. Only one of my mom's two enchiladas had onions in it instead of both, and the enchilada sauce was bland and tasted sort of like raw tomato sauce. The chile in my mom's chile relleno was so tough she could not chew it. The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because I enjoyed my rice and my taco, which came with lots of lettuce and cheese, although the ground beef was a bit bland and the shell was premade/store bought. No one ever returned to see how we were doing without having to go to great effort to flag someone down, and they never offered to-go boxes or our bill, so we gave up waiting and went up to their counter to pay. No one said anything to us on our way out, either. We will not be back. read more

This taco was way under seasoned and the shell was store bought and most likely one from a box giving that it tasted like cardboard. The beans tasted like they used pig lard and the rice had a crusty top layer. The burrito de fajita. First bite of my burrito was super super salty and empty. Small in size and not portioned correctly inside as you can see. Bell peppers inside the burrito were way undercooked hard and just crunchy. I come from a Hispanic family where Mexican beans were a must at every meal had. I have to say that these beans were watered down and just had whole beans added to them to probably make them stretch. The taste wasn't the best for being a Mexican restaurant. Mexican rice was flavorful but had really hard parts and bits inside as well. I'm sorry this review couldn't be much better but all around this restaurant needs some menu overall and price changes. Service was ok giving that there wasn't much to serve and maintain. I Will say before we were asked what we would like to drink the servers walked a few times. So in conclusion about this restaurant I'll say don't waste your time stopping by unless your wanting to drink at the bar in the back or because Taco Bell's line is to long. But you'll get much of what Mexican food is from probably some place else. Now till I find that place I'll be reviewing more restaurants. read more

This was the worst Mexican food we ever had. Ordered chicken burritos, which was just chicken and more cheese than you can imagine... That's it! Then a side of rice and beans. I asked for spicy. Not one pepper or onion. Then super nachos. Chips, plain pork and a ton of cheese. Guac, SC & Pico de gallo on side. No rice or Beans with nachos. The container of salsa was runny mild sauce with no flavor. This is my 2nd Yelp review ever given. So do not to waste your hard earned money on this food. We threw it all out. So sad. read more

The location is pretty meh however, light industrial/ office area, I suspect it has as good lunch trade. The prices are lower than some and the food isn't terrible. Chips and salsa are good. There was a kindly older man refilling the chips but don't try to engage him in conversation, his English is almost non existent. Coming in with a Groupon to a place with 3 1/2 stars on Yelp, how could we loose? We ordered a chili con queso appetizer, steak fajitas and a margarita. Fast forward 45 minutes and the piping hot fajitas are served with the lukewarm (at best) queso. I expect appetizers to be served hot and before the entrée. My expectations were sadly missed. While the taste of the queso was good, the rubbery texture from sitting out so long before it was served was a letdown. The fajitas weren't bad, but with only 3 tortillas and no attention from the wait staff we are left eating the fajitas one fork at time. I don't know if they were running short handed tonight or if this is their standard of service. Either way, we will not be back to find out and I encourage you to keep on going as well. read more

Fast Friendly service! The food is authentic and fresh. I ordered the taco salad and a ice tea my glass was never empty and the taco salad had the proportion correctly for meat and veggies, I have had some taco salads that are 90% lettuce and this is how they are suppose to be made. Chips taste stale and the salsa is oddly sweet and tastes like it's been sitting out. They also bring you a VERY small helping. Maybe 10 chips and a baby container of salsa. I ordered the taco salad. The shell didn't taste like corn or flour. It was rock hard and had no flavor. Way too much lettuce. My entire taco salad was lettuce. The also slap on a giant slice of tomato. I ordered a taco salad for delivery. The overall experience with this restaurants food was extremely poor. There was no flavor in any of the food. The chicken tasted as though they just cooked it water and nothing else. The beans felt the same way. The taco shell was not fresh it was slightly stale.
