I suspect they do this routinely, with enough orders this money adds up. I have never, not once, received a sandwich from this company, ordered either in-person or on-line, in which they have added the extra hummus for which I paid. It's really weird and again it smacks of theft. In the past I have ordered from the Potomac Ave store and they, too, have skipped the hummus on the sandwich. I also requested an order of hummus and pita. The pita is stale. And No, I'm not merely frustrated - it is actually stale. The hummus is cool, yet it runs like water. wt heck, seriously. With lettering saying "HELLO GW UNIVERSITY" and such low prices, I thought that the low menu item prices were only for college students. I was pleasantly surprised that the low prices were for all customers! We opted for a falafel pack ($3) and a falafel salad bowl ($5). I was in disbelief that a small meal here in DC could be under/around $10 even with tax and tip. The falafels were small but mighty in terms of flavor and heartiness. The salad bowl was fresh and had a good amount of spinach, pickled cabbage, and pickles. They also had pita chips with zaatar seasoning. There's a variety of sauces you can top your food with. We went with the habibi sauce which was a little spicy and the white sauce which adds a nice touch of flavor and smoothness to your meal. We also added invisible sauce - the spiciness will creep up on you! Highly recommend Falafel Inc at Western Market for "cheap eats". Food Finally tried a bowl instead of a sandwich and I do think you get slightly more food than the sandwich. It was also nice that it held together more than the pita did. They make and fry the falafel right in front of you and make everything to order. Love the sauce bar that you can grab from and they have all of the different flavors you need right there. They have bags and to go containers that you can get at any point. Service I do think this might be one of the slower locations, but they are always efficient. They do have a kiosk for you to order from. Ambiance In Western Market so no assigned seating, but might be the easiest location to sit down at because it is a food hall. There is so much open seating for you to find a seat at and the other locations are lacking in that. read more

This cute little shop in the West End market was quite the find. Not only was it an amazing deal in the middle of DC, but the food quality was high and it tasted amazing! Ever get a falafel sandwich or bowl that's nothing special but hits the spot at a late hour? This is not that!! The falafel bowl was fresh, flavorful, and delicious! The spinach wasn't wilted, even though we ordered near the end of the day. The falafel were bite size with a lovely crunch. The veggies were crisp and the pickled accompaniment brought a nice acidity. Tip: Make it gluten free by omitting the tabouli and stuffed pita chips. This joint is inside of Western Market so ambiance is upscale food court. My only complaint is that they forgot to include the fries we ordered. We're going to see if we can get refunded for the item not provided, but I'd bring them down further if it's an issue. read more

Great little counter in Western Market (2000 Pennsylvanian Ave NW) for delicious falafel with hummus and amazing fries. The location is awkward with a giant pole in the way of where you'd stand to order. The service was good but slow and the cashier was a low talker and had a communication barrier. I ordered a falafel bowl and fries and for $11 what a great value! I really enjoy how fresh the ingredients were. Sauces are self-serve and aplenty. I reviewed the original Falafel Inc in 2017. They've expanded globally and much time has passed, but there has barely been any change in my observation, including to their low prices. For what it cost me to get a salad bowl with nine falafels in it and a side of fries smothered in delicious za'atar spices, I could barely get a side dish elsewhere in this neighborhood. One could see them chopping fresh greens to start the day off, and they have this cool-looking automated falafel dispenser that drops standardized balls in for fresh frying. Their menu is small, and you're basically choosing a sandwich or a salad bowl and whether or not you want fries, but they are very good at executing it. Whatever money they send to people in need, as their mission promises, is worth considering as well. read more

Really great spot inside Western Market for a cheap and quick meal. Where else can you get a pretty filling salad bowl for $5 ($6 with hummus)? The salad mix is not fancy, just some spinach, tabouli, and pickles. They fry the falafels behind the counter so they are usually pretty fresh. The salad doesn't come with dressing but they have a line-up of sauces on the self-service counter. I also love the pita chips that come with the salad for some crunch. Giving it a 4/5 because the falafel themselves are not my favorite. They are a little too dense and almost doughy. But anyway, this is worth to be added to your lunch rotation. read more

This location just opened up and is just as great as the rest! Located inside Western Market, it's conveniently on GW's campus and has an abundance of seating options. This is also a great meal option for GW students on a budget! I decided to try the vegan shawarma (a new menu item) and it was delicious. I couldn't tell it was vegan and honestly if they hadn't told me I would have believed it was meat! The spices are what make the shawarma flavorful and pretty epic. As always, I also ordered their Za'atar fries because it's a classic. The servers were extremely friendly and efficient- I only had to wait about 5 minutes despite there being a really long line. The lady working at Falafel inc ( western market Washington DC) on 6/14 at 5.30pm throwing trash in the big trash can and was touching the trash by her hand and started preparing food without replacing her gloves. Is this the best deal in DC? The falafel bowl was might tasty for just five bucks. The tabouli on top was great as were the sauces. I liked the pickles which I believe were made of celery. They are pretty generous with the falafel too. The whole bowl was mighty tasty. It is located in Western Market with several other food vendors. There is ample seating outside on a patio (with tables in the shade, and others in the sun--also seating inside). Give it a try. It's five dollars :) read more
