Always happy to see a Falafel Inc location newly opened. This location is great to target the DC based universities since they are so accessible when it comes to price point. Falafel sandwich we received was super full with falafel and the fries were generously seasoned with za'tar. Took full advantage of their yummy sauce bar, and I love that their selection of drinks are not from a major soda corporation and you get to support Palestinian aid by way of purchase.

With lettering saying "HELLO GW UNIVERSITY" and such low prices, I thought that the low menu item prices were only for college students. I was pleasantly surprised that the low prices were for all customers! We opted for a falafel pack ($3) and a falafel salad bowl ($5). I was in disbelief that a small meal here in DC could be under/around $10 even with tax and tip. The falafels were small but mighty in terms of flavor and heartiness. The salad bowl was fresh and had a good amount of spinach, pickled cabbage, and pickles. They also had pita chips with zaatar seasoning. There's a variety of sauces you can top your food with. We went with the habibi sauce which was a little spicy and the white sauce which adds a nice touch of flavor and smoothness to your meal. We also added invisible sauce - the spiciness will creep up on you! Highly recommend Falafel Inc at Western Market for "cheap eats". Your palate and your wallet will wish you've found this place earlier!

Super dry food no taste, could've been unfrozen or tastier but no, chicken had no flavor whatsoever . but their ordering experience was okay, picking up the other. It seems like everybody's in a rush.

A delicious bargain (surprising for DC); a bit chaotic in the mall environment with electronic-only ordering, but falafels (and more) quickly served with plenty of savory sauces available and tables nearby. It's a GW hangout but also for World Bank/IMF locals, too. Mall is orderly with plenty of watchful security and bathrooms facilities nearby.

Enjoyed this quick bite at the Western market to escape the cold wintery weather! The fries are crisp and goes well with the spicy red sauce or the garlic sauce! Get yours~

Oh wow, all this for $5.50. I had no idea how to order but the person at the counter was so helpful. I just said I wanted a salad with some falafels and she asked about other toppings and showed me what they were. This is so yummy and healthy! I may have lathered this in the garlic sauce but it's so good. I have no regrets for putting all this sauce on. Please open a location in Maryland! Please!

Ever get a falafel sandwich or bowl that's nothing special but hits the spot at a late hour? This is not that!! The falafel bowl was fresh, flavorful, and delicious! The spinach wasn't wilted, even though we ordered near the end of the day. The falafel were bite size with a lovely crunch. The veggies were crisp and the pickled accompaniment brought a nice acidity. Tip: Make it gluten free by omitting the tabouli and stuffed pita chips. This joint is inside of Western Market so ambiance is upscale food court. My only complaint is that they forgot to include the fries we ordered. We're going to see if we can get refunded for the item not provided, but I'd bring them down further if it's an issue.

Great little counter in Western Market (2000 Pennsylvanian Ave NW) for delicious falafel with hummus and amazing fries. The location is awkward with a giant pole in the way of where you'd stand to order. The service was good but slow and the cashier was a low talker and had a communication barrier. I ordered a falafel bowl and fries and for $11 what a great value! I really enjoy how fresh the ingredients were. Sauces are self-serve and aplenty. They don't offer water cups or two water but have sodas and bottled Deer Park water.

I reviewed the original Falafel Inc in 2017. They've expanded globally and much time has passed, but there has barely been any change in my observation, including to their low prices. For what it cost me to get a salad bowl with nine falafels in it and a side of fries smothered in delicious za'atar spices, I could barely get a side dish elsewhere in this neighborhood. One could see them chopping fresh greens to start the day off, and they have this cool-looking automated falafel dispenser that drops standardized balls in for fresh frying. Their menu is small, and you're basically choosing a sandwich or a salad bowl and whether or not you want fries, but they are very good at executing it. Whatever money they send to people in need, as their mission promises, is worth considering as well.

This location is inside Western Market, and service was quick. We only stopped by for a snack of zaatar fries, but they were delicious and affordable. I would visit again for more fries or to get some falafel, as everything we saw looked so good!

One of my favorite cheap eats in DC! I'm glad I was able to find another location that's situated in a food hall. There was plenty of seating which I liked as our usual wharf location for falafel inc also has outdoor tables where you can stand and eat. Service was nice and quick and I was able to get my food pretty fast. I would definitely recommend coming here and also trying out the other restaurants within the Western market (food hall's name)

Appreciate you can try different sauces to dip your fries or add to your sandwich or bowls. Only reason they didn't get a 5 star on this last visit was how long it took to get our order. It was a Saturday night, so we did mobile ordering and pickup. It said it would be ready within 3-15 minutes. I arrived 12 min after our order was placed. They were quite busy - and seemed the two employees working were a bit overwhelmed. There were a few people waiting for food, a line to order, they were out of containers for sauces, and some of the sauces were empty. I ended up waiting for an extra 25 minutes until I asked to check on an order - it was apparent from their reaction, our order got lost in the shuffle. Once they realized, they made it right away, which was appreciated. However, they grabbed a bag of fries that had been sitting on the counter since I walked in - so they were cold. Good thing - they do great in the air fryer! I've never experienced these issues before and it won't stop me from returning, definitely felt like a bit of an off night for them. Solid food, great cause, and one of the best affordable options for a quick bite at the Wharf! Recommend them!

The place was bustling on a Saturday afternoon. I stopped by for a falafel sandwich, falafel bowl,…read moreand fries...and I was blown away. Here's why: - Quality: every item was fresh, and the falafel was not dry! I usually don't opt for falafel bc of how dry it is, but this one really wasn't! It was filling but moist and delicious. Also, the veggies and sauces paired well to give it flavor and texture. Again, usually not a fan of falafel, but I was this time. - Service: Food was pretty quick and the staff were really kind considering how busy the shop was. It took about 10 minutes to get the food. - Ambiance: This is a grab and go place. They have some high tables to quickly scarf down your meal or package your to go bag, but I suggest walking around Georgetown area to eat your food elsewhere. I will absolutely visit again and bring vegetarian friends. Such a bang for your buck!

I feel bad writing this but I believe Writing Authentic and honest review may inspire the owner to level up his food . That said, the food quality did not meet expectations. The falafel was overly firm and dry. The Greek salad lacked freshness--the lettuce appeared past its prime, and the tomatoes were soft and aging. Overall, it felt like a basic tossed salad with feta rather than a well-composed dish. The hummus had a smooth texture, but the flavor suggested a blended oil rather than a clean extra virgin olive oil profile. The pita was the strongest element of the meal--fresh and well prepared. Additionally, the use of styrofoam containers detracted from the overall experience. In summary, while the service at closing was considerate, the food did not reflect what I would consider high-quality or authentic Greek cuisine. .

We drove over and battled the cold to make it. We heard people yelling about how cold it was but that didn't stop us from our mission. The spot isn't a sit down restaurant but it has everything you need and I imagine it's perfect for grab and go picnics in the summer. I was really excited and ordered the falafel sandwich and bowl to go. My husband waited outside with the pup, both looking at me with those puppy eyes wanting to come indoors for some warmth. Anyway it was worth the wait. We came home and devoured our fries and falafel while watching a movie. The sauces are all amazing. If you like spice, the green sauce was a kicker. The Habibi sauce and white sauce are good for "lathering" your falafels without feeling the fire. Anyway thank you for the experience, love the falafels here and can't edit to try the other sandwiches.

Some of this review is based just on the limitations of the space, but also it's based on the food. First, full disclosure, I came here as a guest with Yelp Elite. I was able to get 2 falafels and fries. There seemed to be a lot of confusion at first about this but it was eventually worked out. I think what I found the most frustrating about the experience was a mixture of the incredibly long wait for the food and the lack of seating. I came here with my family before Zoo Lights. There were 4 hightop stools inside and that was it. The temperature outside was freezing so it was a fight to find any spots. Also, the sauces were stacked on the high top seating, which made it incredibly awkward whenever any other guest came in and tried to get the sauces as we sat there. But the wait is what really frustrated me. It took over 20 minutes to get our food. This spot has the feel of a quick grab and go. I'm not exactly sure what took so long. Maybe the fries? Speaking of the fries, they were fresh but the seasoning was a little too much for my taste. Falafel is a difficult sandwich to perfect. This one fell into the camp of falafel that I don't love -- overly dry and a little oily at once. On a positive note, I liked the variety sauces available. One other thing - there should be a garbage can inside. My kids kept spilling things and I had to constantly wipe it up. I found it odd that there was no garbage can inside the restaurant and the only way I could throw anything out was by going outside and throwing things away in the public garbage can. I appreciated the free falafel as part of Yelp Elite. However, I'm not sure I'll be rushing back here given the issues. Maybe it's a better spot during the warm months as they have more outside seating.

They were a few left, so we got an orange blossom oat toffee cookie. It was perfectly balanced with floral notes, tanginess from the orange, and caramel-y sweetness from the toffee. We also appreciated the lattes: halawa honey and baklawa mocha. Never thought to add tahini to my coffee (halawa) and the rose and orange blossom notes were nice touches to the baklawa mocha. You may add sweetener yourself to get it to your preferred level of sweetness. I definitely would love to come back, particularly early, to be able to sit down, relax, and have a slow meal with a latte and a book. (That and to see more variety at the pastry window!!)

Quality of food (and drink) wise, there's truly no notes, from the pitas to pastries and coffee. Now that does not mean there are no notes. Firstly, pricing, coffee and pastry is fair but the sandwiches, $20+ for half a pita is absurd, not even getting both halves of the pita. And then the experience is just so frustrating, there is absolutely no flow of people. The space itself is well curated and has some great seating available, but due to how crowded it gets, it's a truly horrendous experience at times. And while I would say they could have a cap on how many people are allowed inside at once i feel that's a semi unrealistic implementation (though i genuinely wonder if they're over capacity at times). A bit easier to address would be the flow. They have an enter and exit door, but folk keep ignoring the signs, idk how but come on this needs to be fixed. It also does not help that the exit door opens inwards into the crowded restaurant so it's at times nearly impossible to open the door as there's a crowd or even a table and chairs in the way. They're fairly efficient in making the food but there's still a bit of a wait, and the space to wait is not very large despite the constant flow of people so there's always a large mob, and many have to wait awkwardly in between tables and seated customers. Drinks are served and called out separately from food, which makes sense; and they're given without kids so you can add things, also logical. However, the sugar, syrups, milk, and lids and all on the other counter, so you have to cross the counter where food is being picked up and through the mob in order to get to a lid, just praying that you don't get bumped and spill. The food and drink are fantastic, though overpriced for the portions. But something needs to be done about the experience , whether it's the layout, workflow, capacity, whatever, something needs to happen. I mean i will probably go back but I'd recommend getting it as takeout so you can actually enjoy the food, but i cannot say it's an enjoyable experience inside.
