    Falafel wrap
    Kiran S.

Stopped here twice. First for the bowl which was unappealing. 3/4 of the bowl was made up of spinach. I heard the wrap was better so went back for the falafel wrap to give it another try. Although the sauces helped to enhance the flavor the overall wrap tasted bland. I gave it two tries before rating. I guess it is $8 bowls $5 wraps so maybe you get what you pay for.

Awesome experience here great service and food. I got a schwarma wrap it was really tasty with tender chicken and a crispy wrap around it . I loved the savory flavors mixed the freshness of the vegetables. It is very generous portion wise. Inside the store it is small with a bunch of outdoor seating it is mainly a to go shop but it is nice. They have a ton of sauces with to go containers

We were the first customers there so they were still setting up and put out the sauces shortly after we ordered. They were sooooo nice. They gave us two tote bags and we'd ordered the wraps and fries, all delicious!

The Chicken Swarma wrap was really good! Was presented inserted in an elongated paper container that was quite convenient to slide it out and back in, for handling. The chicken and the garlic sauce was on point and I found myself looking to order another one, before I could even finish it. Also got a Falafel bowl with greens and Falafel sandwich which were both tasty and made with fresh ingredients. The small counter was just enough space to rest your food on it, for a quick bite or to grab some sauces to go. The order was taken with a smile, and I felt welcomed and satisfied with her ability to help explain the different choices. I know I will be back to try more, and grab another Chicken Swarma wrap too!

This is counter-serve takeout only with a few tables outside the store. Located conveniently right outside the National Zoo entrance, a fantastic place to grab a quick bite if you're planning a zoo trip. The falafel sandwich at $5 each might be the best deal in all of DC. Good size pita stuffed with about 6 falafel balls and plenty of shredded veggies. On the counter inside the store are about 8 different sauces ranging from mild to spicy. These sauces can make every bite taste different but regardless, the falafel are fresh fried & tasty (though falafels are pretty simple & basic). A few other items on the menu but hard to beat a $5 sandwich nowadays.

How can anyone complain about a $5 falafel sandwich? :) I love how they have all the sauces for me to add to my falafel. There are plenty of pickled vegetables in the sandwich too. It was so delicious.

Five star for food and ambiance. Seating is outside, was nice temperature and weather tonight. Food was delayed, so three star for service.

    Chicken wrap

I went to culinary school. The service was good. The food was not. It's nice that they have a selection of sauces that are free, but I didn't love any. The wrap was oily and left me with a stomach ache. It tasted less like a middle eastern wrap and more like a panini without cheese. Everything was melted together. It comes automatically with garlic sauce which grossly overpowered the wrap. It was 95% minced chicken and 5% pickles. I've been to Egypt and to Israel, Falafel Inc's seasoning is not good at all. Make a base of cumin, tumeric, coriander, paprika, garlic powder and onion powder, it'll elevate the flavors. Definitely not worth $14. Why do you charge $14 for a wrap and $8 for a bowl?

No better deal in the city than the $5 falafel sandwich. Delicious and cheap and filling. Their rice bowls are also 10/10.

The falafel Bowl is very good and an economical choice. In general, it is a good place to pick a healthy choice.

Appreciate you can try different sauces to dip your fries or add to your sandwich or bowls. Only reason they didn't get a 5 star on this last visit was how long it took to get our order. It was a Saturday night, so we did mobile ordering and pickup. It said it would be ready within 3-15 minutes. I arrived 12 min after our order was placed. They were quite busy - and seemed the two employees working were a bit overwhelmed. There were a few people waiting for food, a line to order, they were out of containers for sauces, and some of the sauces were empty. I ended up waiting for an extra 25 minutes until I asked to check on an order - it was apparent from their reaction, our order got lost in the shuffle. Once they realized, they made it right away, which was appreciated. However, they grabbed a bag of fries that had been sitting on the counter since I walked in - so they were cold. Good thing - they do great in the air fryer! I've never experienced these issues before and it won't stop me from returning, definitely felt like a bit of an off night for them. Solid food, great cause, and one of the best affordable options for a quick bite at the Wharf! Recommend them!

I really enjoyed it then unfortunately not so much this time. The fries were not as I remember, they had a distasteful tarte aftertaste. The falafel sandwich was lukewarm and the toppings were cold(of course). If the falafel was hot the balance of cold toppings would've been manageable. The flavor on the falafel sandwich was good! -Customer service is okay. -Paid street parking/garage parking -NO seating. Takeout only. -Prices are average. Paid $12 for one falafel and fries. Good deal. Hope you enjoy! With love, The Picky Pescatarian

Here's why: - Quality: every item was fresh, and the falafel was not dry! I usually don't opt for falafel bc of how dry it is, but this one really wasn't! It was filling but moist and delicious. Also, the veggies and sauces paired well to give it flavor and texture. Again, usually not a fan of falafel, but I was this time. - Service: Food was pretty quick and the staff were really kind considering how busy the shop was. It took about 10 minutes to get the food. - Ambiance: This is a grab and go place. They have some high tables to quickly scarf down your meal or package your to go bag, but I suggest walking around Georgetown area to eat your food elsewhere. I will absolutely visit again and bring vegetarian friends. Such a bang for your buck!

I feel bad writing this but I believe Writing Authentic and honest review may inspire the owner to level up his food . That said, the food quality did not meet expectations. The falafel was overly firm and dry. The Greek salad lacked freshness--the lettuce appeared past its prime, and the tomatoes were soft and aging. Overall, it felt like a basic tossed salad with feta rather than a well-composed dish. The hummus had a smooth texture, but the flavor suggested a blended oil rather than a clean extra virgin olive oil profile. The pita was the strongest element of the meal--fresh and well prepared. Additionally, the use of styrofoam containers detracted from the overall experience. In summary, while the service at closing was considerate, the food did not reflect what I would consider high-quality or authentic Greek cuisine. .

They make and fry the falafel right in front of you and make everything to order. Love the sauce bar that you can grab from and they have all of the different flavors you need right there. They do have a kiosk for you to order from. Ambiance In Western Market so no assigned seating, but might be the easiest location to sit down at because it is a food hall. They were a few left, so we got an orange blossom oat toffee cookie. It was perfectly balanced with floral notes, tanginess from the orange, and caramel-y sweetness from the toffee. We also appreciated the lattes: halawa honey and baklawa mocha. Never thought to add tahini to my coffee (halawa) and the rose and orange blossom notes were nice touches to the baklawa mocha. You may add sweetener yourself to get it to your preferred level of sweetness. I definitely would love to come back, particularly early, to be able to sit down, relax, and have a slow meal with a latte and a book. (That and to see more variety at the pastry window!!)

Quality of food (and drink) wise, there's truly no notes, from the pitas to pastries and coffee. Now that does not mean there are no notes. Firstly, pricing, coffee and pastry is fair but the sandwiches, $20+ for half a pita is absurd, not even getting both halves of the pita. And then the experience is just so frustrating, there is absolutely no flow of people. The space itself is well curated and has some great seating available, but due to how crowded it gets, it's a truly horrendous experience at times. And while I would say they could have a cap on how many people are allowed inside at once i feel that's a semi unrealistic implementation (though i genuinely wonder if they're over capacity at times). A bit easier to address would be the flow. They have an enter and exit door, but folk keep ignoring the signs, idk how but come on this needs to be fixed. It also does not help that the exit door opens inwards into the crowded restaurant so it's at times nearly impossible to open the door as there's a crowd or even a table and chairs in the way. They're fairly efficient in making the food but there's still a bit of a wait, and the space to wait is not very large despite the constant flow of people so there's always a large mob, and many have to wait awkwardly in between tables and seated customers. Drinks are served and called out separately from food, which makes sense; and they're given without kids so you can add things, also logical. However, the sugar, syrups, milk, and lids and all on the other counter, so you have to cross the counter where food is being picked up and through the mob in order to get to a lid, just praying that you don't get bumped and spill. The food and drink are fantastic, though overpriced for the portions. But something needs to be done about the experience , whether it's the layout, workflow, capacity, whatever, something needs to happen. I mean i will probably go back but I'd recommend getting it as takeout so you can actually enjoy the food, but i cannot say it's an enjoyable experience inside.
