Fast casual Mediterranean food. Customizable entree options so everyone can can fin something they like and I sure appreciate the healthy options. Salads, falafel, pita. Nothing special but always a solid option downtown. Drink selection is great, unique tea/lemonade options.

I love me some Roti! I will say not all locations are created equal but this one stands out, in a good way! I came in on a Friday around 11:45a. It's right in the middle of a ton of business so it was empty since most people work from home or are off. I walked right in and was warmly greeted by the staff. My bowl was made to perfection and wasn't rushed! Amazing portion sizes. I'll be back!

Harissa chopped salad bowl is fire! I've been coming here a decade, and the freshness, taste, quantity, and service has been on point every time. Quality ingredients, good taste, plenty of indoor and a fair amount of outdoor seating. Love the custom salads with falafel too. It's all good! Pro tip: $5 kids' meals. Popular with the littles.

I really wanted this place to be a 5 star so badly! Upon walking inside, the aroma of chargrilled meat hits you! I was so excited. I walked past the immediate split where you enter to order on the far right along the wall and backtracked to enter the queue. There was only 1 person in front of me at 12 noon on a Friday. I decided to build your own bowl of saffron rice, harissa chicken, cucumbers, tomato, pickled onion, corn, carrots, chickpeas, hummus and garlic sauce. It looked amazing! However, just like another place that is similar to this (ahem, Rasa) the basmati rice just wasn't bloomed enough, creating a grainy undercooked texture instead of pillowy fluffy rice. All the other toppings were decent enough and it tasted fresh, but the flavor was just weak with the spices and the crunchy rice just brings it down. It just didn't hit the spot. Unfortunately, at $15 a bowl, I don't think there is another chance with this place for me. Meh....

I became obsessed with this place! Someone needs to open one in Philly/South NJ. It has the same concept as like Chipotle but with Mediterranean food so you can customize a plate, salad, pita sandwich or Laffa wrap. And they have great drinks to go along like hibiscus tea. The flavor of everything was great! *Catching up on reviews I came here end of January.

I went here for lunch one day(I typically pick my lunch everyday). Since I'm on a sort of a diet right now I decided to try this place out. I got a rice plate with chicken, kale& corn, couscous, mixed veggies and tomato/cucumber, a little feta and their take on tzatziki sauce. The first couple bites were amazing and then the taste just went away. It was good but not something I could finish. Maybe I'll try a different combination next time. Staff was super inviting and friendly so thank you!

Roti is a great fast casual Mediterranean restaurant where you can come in a create your own rice bowl, salad bowl, pita, or wraps. Their bar is filled with fresh ingredients from vegetables, Mediterranean salads, hummus, tzatziki, and more. After choosing your base you then choose your protein option, like chicken, lamb, or other options like tofu. Then you add as many toppings as you'd like. The food was great! My salad bowl with chicken kebon was filling and every component I added had great flavor. The falafel is also very good! Definitely worth adding a side of those to your meal. This place is perfect if you're on the go or just need to grab a fast and healthy bit to eat in between sight seeing. Everything is served in portable to go containers but there is plenty of seating to sit and enjoy your meal.

Steak Laffa Wrap with onions, tomatoes/cucumbers, hummus, light sauce, olives, and couscous.

If I ever come back to DC, this is a place where I will go back to. At first thinking of what to write for this review, I couldn't really find the words to describe this place. Lets just say, I'm addicted. During lunch, and downtown in D.C. this place was busy. Packed. All of the above. Roti can only be found in only a few cities so it's definitely a place to check out if you're in town. If you ever had a mission style burrito from Chipotle or where it was created, and will always be in my thoughts as the best, Taqueria La Cumbre (and for some reason I can't find the review....or I never wrote it because I just started using yelp..) Roti takes on their style of burrito. Except, it's full of mediterranean goodness. Note, this is only for the Steak Laffa Wrap as I thought it was the easiest to handle due to the time we had for lunch and that it was easy to eat outside on the benches considering that the restaurant itself was extremely packed. So, what did I get? I got a Steak Laffa Wrap with onions, tomatoes/cucumbers, hummus, light sauce, olives, and couscous. And what came after that, was pure ecstasy and full of flavor with every bite. I was thinking hummus wasn't going to go with it well, but surprisingly it completely blew my tastebuds away. Oh, only if I did live near here I would definitely be back for more. What do I suggest you to do for lunch today? Go here and eat.

    Paul N.

Fine overall. I like the chipotle-style ordering for the mediterranean food. I think that the operations could use some work and the food definitely could be more fresh - but it's still a decent lunch option. Most of the time, the employees ask you what toppings you want on your platter/sandwich when you're too far away from the employees to see the topping options. Makes it a more stressful interaction than necessary - but it's good that it's efficient. Fine lunch option - nothing too exciting but good enough!

Mmmmmmm I love roti, I had a chicken kabob salad with almost all the toppings and it was so good! It was extremely filling and a great place to eat quality food that is not too bad for you. Great place for a quick lunch, I'm also a big fan of Mediterranean food too!

    $10 worth of food, apparently.

I ordered the chimichurri steak plate and really enjoyed it. Funnily enough, the chimichurri itself was the least enjoyable item. The salad probably had a bit too much dressing but I had the option to order that on the side so that's on me. Nonetheless, the steak, potatoes, salad, corn, avocado were all excellent. I also added chips, a lemon zest cookie, and a blueberry breeze handcrafted drink. The cookie is big and chewy, unlike others I have had. It's definitely not something to eat in one sitting. Let me start by saying that the atmosphere in this restaurant is one that is so welcoming the minute you arrive. I approached the hostess stand to inquire if there was bar seating available to which the polite hostesses provided a gentle hand gesture and oral direction to the bar. While walking to the bar area, I encountered what I presume to have been a server who was likely standing watch from a distance over his service area, who apologized as our paths met. (There was no reason to apologize, very polite nonetheless) I found a seat at the bar and was greeted by Paul. Paul was an exceptionally pleasant and answered all my immediate questions while preparing my initial cocktail during happy hour. We discussed the menu and he provided great insight which helped finalize my decision for the evening . In the meantime, bar manager Laura stopped by to ensure that I was taken care of to which I informed her that Paul and I spoke and he is making a beverage for me. For the food...the Caesar Salad is #1. I am a food snob and this salad HITS!! While enjoying my salad I inquired about their cast bourbon selection. The staff was very knowledgeable and provided a price list to coincide with their higher end selections. My 40 layer lasagna arrived some time in the midst of the conversation where Paul extended a courtesy sampling of a wine that he recommended that pairs nicely with my meal. It was perfect. I closed out my meal with an espresso type martini, at which time Paul and Laura further extended and offered me a sampling of one of the bourbons I was looking at. I cannot say enough about this establishment. I can't wait to go back and have already recommended via phone conversations to three people and I just left. The evening and encounter was more than just pleasantries with a customer, rather I felt as if I was the only one. If the owner or manager is reading this, Paul and Laura are 10+ and I will be back. Shortly after we got our drink, we received notification of an opening and were seated by 8:15. We had the burrata appetizer, Ragú x 2, and the seafood fra diavolo. The burrata was one of the best I've had since they serve it with pesto, pine nuts, and garlic bread. It was truly divine! The Ragú was not far behind. Incredible flavor and a generous portion. The seafood dish had a nice kick and had plenty of seafood, which is not common as of late. All dishes were also priced reasonably for the quality you received.
