It was so hot and fresh and perfect. I also met the owner Nasser and he was awesome. I love this little gem in Jefferson Park neighborhood. I hope they expand to more locations in the city. Would love to be able to have their food delivered in Logan Square. You can also get their food delivered on all the apps.

There seems to be a growing number of Mediterranean restaurants in the Northwest side and I came…read moreacross Falafel Dream near the Harlem/Irving Plaza. It is a casual somewhat "fast food" style restaurant where you order at the counter. I came before dinner time so the place was relatively empty. I ordered the Combo Plate #2 which included grilled lamb kabab, beef kofta and chicken kabab. The combo came with a Jerusalem salad, house salad which was essentially a cucumber salad, pita bread and rice. Overall, the flavors were generally all there. The only issue I had was with the preparation of the chicken and lamb. The chicken was overcooked and dry. It is as if they had cooked the chicken kabab and was refiring it on the grill to order. The beef kofta was fairly tender and flavorful, but the lamb kabab seemed to lack the distinct gamey lamb flavor that questions the quality of the meat. The combo plate is a hearty portion so you certainly won't go away hungry. Overall, for the area, Falafel Dream should satisfy any Meditereanean food craving. I haven't specifically tried their falafel, but I would be cautious if they are made beforehand rather than made to order. If you have ever had authentic Middle Eastern food, this doesn't really quite hit the bar. It may cater more to the American taste preference. Service was average. Prices were reasonable. Parking is very limited.

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. If you are looking for delicious food in a beautiful…read moreroom with excellent service, you've come to the right place. Our server was so kind and never let us make the mistake of ordering the wrong thing. She gave us her recommendations every step of the way and every single one was perfect. What we got: Mint lemonade: 5/5. SO refreshing and delicious. Perfect sweetness and the little bit of pulp you get is great. I only wish there was more of it! Chicken arayes: 4.5/5. Crispy, cheesy, garlicky. Need I say more? Get some extra garlic on the side if you wanna take it up a notch. Fried halloumi: 4/5. These are like a soft mozzarella stick, so tasty. Definitely eat the pickles with them. Lamb chops: 4.5/5. 4 tender lamb chops seasoned beautifully. Definitely recommend the red rice over the yellow if you can handle a little bit of heat. Kanafeh: 5/5. Whoever thought that cheese, sweet syrup, phyllo, and pistachios would go together is a genius. Definitely don't leave without getting this dessert. The salt of the cheese perfectly balances out the sweetness. No notes! And get some peppermint tea to go with it too. And the portion sizes are huge! Definitely get your money's worth here. My only issue is this place is right by my job so now I'm gonna go broke getting food here all the time. But that's a problem I'd love to have!

GHAZAWI SALAD (Finely chopped parsley, tomatoes, cucumber, lemon, fresh mint, onions and olive oil…read moremixed with our homemade hot sauce) - hoped for spicy since it's with hot sauce but wasn't at all. Tasted good but was a normal Mediterranean salad MEAT SHAWERMA PLATTER (lamb & beef, served with rice, grilled tomatoes and onions. Includes 1 Cup of Tahini Sauce) - Very dry meat. Would have been a 5/5 stars if this dish weren't so dry KUFTA KABAB (Three skewers of our special recipe of ground lamb mixed with parsley, garlic and an array of spices, grilled onions and tomatoes) - good! Pita - great! Nice and fluffy Kenafe - we ordered the type that's supposed to be crispy but it wasn't so crispy. Still yummy though Price - not cheap but the portion is big Service - good! Very nice Atmosphere- amazing! Really nicely decorated

Stylish Fulton Market Brunch with Great Food and Service…read more Booked brunch for two on OpenTable at Aba in Fulton Market, and it's easy to see why this spot is so popular. The space is beautiful--open, bright, full of natural light, and stylish without feeling overdone. We ordered the Short Rib Shakshuka, which was flavorful with just a hint of spice and a generous portion size. The warm, soft pita served alongside was perfect for dipping. The Steak and Eggs was also excellent--the steak and eggs were cooked perfectly, and the fried potatoes were a standout: crispy on the outside while still moist and tender inside. Portion sizes were just right. We also tried both of the recommended brunch cocktails, and they were strong, flavorful, and well balanced. Service from Mike was great--friendly, efficient, and attentive throughout the meal. Overall, Aba delivered a polished and enjoyable brunch experience. Highly recommend, and based on what we tasted, I'd absolutely come back to try dinner.

We ordered the grilled chicken kebab along with the tuna and watermelon. The chicken was moist and well-cooked, but the tuna and watermelon dish was disappointing. There was no watermelon at all, and the seasoning was overwhelmingly salty. The cucumber and mint spritz was refreshing, but the bartender was new and not very attentive. Overall, the experience fell short of expectations.
