We were looking for a new place to eat after shopping at Fashion Outlets. We went to Halal Dz at noon and walked in, only to be told they wouldn't open till 12:30. After driving around a little we found Jerusalem Grill. Street parking was tight, but apparently there's parking in the back. The interior looks decent and is more spacious than the exterior suggests. Service was kind of non-existent, but maybe we caught them at an off-time. No one greeted or seated us, so we just grabbed a booth. I then got up and asked if we order upfront, but the guy told me he would come to our table shortly. There were also no napkins or cutlery at the table, so we had to ask for those after the food arrived. We ordered a kefta kabob wrap and a mixed shawarma bowl. The meat in the wrap was tasty, but the kabob quantity was small compared to the amount of bread. The shawarma bowl was also pretty good. Too much lettuce on top, but the rice and meats were good, especially after I asked for garlic sauce. Their garlic sauce tastes different than other places. The food wasn't bad, but nothing different or exceptional compared to other Middle Eastern restaurants. The bill came to $26 with tip, which is not bad at all. I rarely get delivery and I mean like I haven't had any delivery in the past 2-3 years maybe only some pizza when it's snowing bad. But other than that I always pick up my food. This time we decided to get delivery. They didn't answer their phone at first. We then messaged them on Facebook, and they apologized and asked us to call again. They did finally answer. Their quoted delivery time was spot on. My wife ordered their chicken shawarma, and I opted for their beef shawarma with a small side of hummus. The beef was very flavorful and the rice was perfectly cooked. You definitely get a lot of food and it is very filling. The plate came with grilled onions, tomatoes and even a grilled jalapeño. I have never seen that before but it added some heat. The hummus was tasty and very inexpensive for the amount of hummus they give you. They also had some salsas. I did not care for these. One tasted odd, and the other was like Louisiana sauce or Tabasco. Whatever it was, it definitely doesn't belong on Mediterranean food. I wouldn't mind returning. read more

After multiple Google searches for a chicken gyro, we ended up a Jerusalem grill. They didn't have such thing on their menu, " it doesn't hurt to ask we thought" We asked for a chicken gyro? Or chicken on pita? The cashier seemed confused when the cook approached us and simply said " I got you" OMGGGGG he wasn't lying this sandwich? Wrap? Pita pouch? Whatever you want to call was DELICIOUS!! So flavorful he did not disappoint at ALL. Shoutout to the cook working on 12/22 at 7:30ish! Please put this on your menu it's MOUTH watering. Ordered from here today, got two orders of the mixed grill combo, an order of fries and a 2 pcs baklava. First off, The mix grill combo is great. The steak is delicious and so is the chicken, both have nice char flavor and juicy with flavor. The lamb was good too, but I'm not a huge lamb guy so I would prefer the chicken and beef which are just perfect. The mixed grill comes with rice, the rice has an interesting flavor, it's bit sweet. Not sure how I feel about that yet. Next up are the fries. They come with a delicious garlic sauce. The sauce is amazing, unfortunately the fries were only so-so because they are placed in a styrofoam container, by the time I picked the order up and brought it home they were in that container steaming for some time, the end result was soggy fries. They tasted decent but the texture wasn't there. Finally, last but not least, the baklava. I was really disappointed with it. Having recently tasted a home made baklava at a different restaurant that was to die for, this one didn't even come close. There is no deep flavor, no nutty flavor notes, no taste of delicious honey, it just tastes like processed sugar. Every bite tastes like sugar without anything else. Would not recommend, don't think it made in house. I'll definitely be back because the chicken and steak are amazing. The mixed grill was on point and I'd definitely order that again. The fries were good but could be better if they were crispy and not soggy due to the styrofoam container. However I would avoid the baklava. Tip to restaurant: Don't place the fries in styrofoam, find a way they can vent so they don't get so soggy. read more

I have a few shawarma places that I go to for good quality food and this one is on my go-to list moving forward. I ordered their chicken kabob platter which came with rice and hummus. Let me tell you, the portions are huge! I had enough leftovers for lunch the next day which is a huge plus for me. Their chicken is so tender and flavorful and reheats very well in the microwave too. The hummus was incredibly creamy and tasty. I only asked for two pitas for both meals and wish I had asked for more. The service is great, and the pricing is reasonable. I've been buying food from this place for almost 8 years and today was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. The new owner (2 years or so) is the problem here not the employees. The employees are great, especially two young boys that work there (if they still work there). I walked in today to order four soups and I walked out being abused and cussed at by one of her customers. While she sat there enjoying and tolerating what had happend. She was passive aggressive and rude in the past but today was something else. I have always been professional and curteous in both scenarios which is what really surprises me. First time, I mentioned every time I'd go in that their soup recipe is not the same and the taste is completely different. I was trying to help and tell them that something has gone wrong with the taste. Of course, the new owner was condescending and rude. I didn't mind or pay any attention. We all go through moments in life. They eventually fixed the recipe and the soup was back to its original taste. All was great. Today, I walked in and bought four soups. I mention that in the past their pita bread was included with the soups and asked why that is no longer the case. She goes on a tirade of me telling her which employees do such a thing so she can fire them and so on. I sit there a bit taken aback and mention that that isn't the proper reaction considering I've been a customer for them for almost 8 years and I spend a lot of money at their place. Going at your employees and treating a loyal customer I that way is not smart business. She could have politely given me a simple explanation for why they charge extra for bread. Ofcourse, she continues by expressing that she's never seen me there before . Again, being condescending and rude for simply asking a basic question. A business owner questions the validity of you buying from there for the past year, "threatening" their employees for unsound reasons. For the life of me, I cannot understand why would anyone take this approach in a business they own. I was not once mean or disrespecting to this owner, besides asking valid and normal questions. Actually I couldn't;t even speak half the time as she would cut me off every time. She then proceeded to make a remark that I would now go on google and make this and that review. I mentioned that #1 it is rude to no listen to a client's honest opinion and be that rude (considering I helped them also fix the soup taste - but didn't mention that today), it wasn't smart business #2 I was indeed a client for a very long time and why would she argue otherwise? #3 I was not going to make any kind of reviews - I am not that kind of individual. However, Half way through the conversation, someone behind me starts being condescending and starts cussing at me. I politely turn back and tell him he should stop as he has no idea what has happened. What's more crazy is that I was never out of line with the owner. For the life of me I couldn't understand why he was reacting that way. I can only assume that her aggressive nature gave the client the impression I must have done something to her. He kept escalating and being more aggressive while the owner sat there enjoying the entire abuse. As any normal human being, I decided to not respond, be quiet and mind my own business. I got my four soups, I politely thanked her and walked out. I wouldn't have written a review but after the abuse of her client and her treatment towards me. I thought it only fair to do so. I will never understand people like this and what drives them to be like that. I easily spend over a thousand dollars a year from this place and today was the last time I will ever make a purchase from here. Since she's attacked me for never seeing me before I thought I'd attach receipts going back to 2018. I don't know what sense of business some people have but my God may you find the peace that you need. I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED ANYTHING LIKE IVE EXPERIENCED TODAY AT A PROFESSIONAL PLACE OF BUSINESS. But other times the meat is like sawdust. The customer service is the most frustrating. Pickup orders are almost never ready when they say it will be.
