As soon as I walked in, I felt welcomed. The gentleman at the register was so nice. He helped me order. I got the chicken and beef gentleman shawerma and a bit of the lamb. He brought out some soup. WOW. It was awesome. What a start. The place is not very big but hugh in hospitality. I got my meal. Holly cow. Huge serving. It was enough for 2. I put a hurting on my plate and just couldn't finish everything. If I lived here, this would be my go to for sure. I'm so glad I was able to find this gem. I will definitely be back. I discovered this place near the airport. I'm so glad that I did because this place has the best Mediterranean food I have ever had. The interior is modest and modern. Fairly clean. The ordering is quick and easy with the server. The food was prepared within timely manner. The price may be slightly higher, but justified with the portion provided. I've been going ordering from Sultan's for some time now and they are consistently good. They are located in a small strip mall and sometimes there's trouble with parking. Inside is nothing special typical fast food set up but I wouldn't really dine in, I almost always order carry out. I really like their kabob plates. Yes they have shawarma as well but I prefer kabobs over shawarma. The kabob plates are a little pricey but it does appear they use quality ingredients. Pretty sure the beef kabob is tenderloin. The chicken Shawna are nice breast pieces. Both meats are always season well and cooked with a nice char on them. Their rice is nicely seasoned as well. The only downside is that sometimes the customer service is a bit of a miss. I've tried all the spots around the area and Sultan's kabobs beat them all out without a doubt. read more

This place is okay. Not great but not bad either. I ordered a chicken kabob and hummus. Neither was really flavorful but they both were edible. I also ordered a black tea and requested a large cup of ice. They forgot the cup and did not include any silverware. I would order from here again but only in a pinch. We stopped by Sultan Kebab & Bakery on a layover from O'Hare. We missed a connection and had a long layover for our rescheduled flight and were quite hangry after flying internationally. But enough about us... I am so glad we discovered this gem! We had the hummus app, chicken schwarma plate and two kinds of baklava (chocolate and regular). It was all tremendous. The last time I had middle eastern food this good was in Israel. So happy we found this place and we enjoyed our experience. Red Lentil Soup comes with Pita & Falafel. I wanted to try the basics and see what their vegetarian options are. I am very happy to see they have a vegetarian platter. Came here yesterday for an early dinner. Definitely casual eatery. We just ordered the shawarma combo platter which includes both beef and chicken shawarma with rice and salad and 1 pita bread. Food came out hot and fresh and the portion was definitely enough to share between the 2 of us altho I wasn't starving. The white sauce and red sauce are on the table itself for you to put your own amount on there - although I do think the white sauce should probably be sitting on ice or some kind of cooler seeing that it's dairy based... I saw the recommendations from Yelp about Sultan and we has to give the place a try. We had some time before a Blackhawks game and the restaurant was on the way, so we came in to try place. The first time in here, we were here just before the dinner rush. We both ordered the Chicken Shawarma Sultan special, which came with 3 Falafels, salad, hummus & pita bread. The food was delicious and healthier without the rice. In fact, so good that I returned the next day with my brother. This time I had the Vegetarian Combo, which has Hummus, baba ghanouj, falafel, grape leaves and green salad, while my brother had the Chicken Kabob Siltan special. With the three meals we have tried, everything was delicious and the employees were very pleasant. Now we are looking forward to our next visit! read more

The chicken shawarma was flavorful, the rice fluffy and the presentation was nice. The falafel was fresh and so good. I ate everything your see on my pictures. I live in L.A. but this place reminds me of what I love about Chicago. There are all types of similar restaurants in L.A. but being home in my city just makes this meal and restaurant special. Unassuming strip mall eatery with a functional dining room and a couple of outdoor tables. Order at the counter, and pick up when ready. But for what it is, these guys really know how to execute rustic Middle Eastern food. Proteins are always at the right temperature, and chicken shawarma or kebab is never dry. Rice is always perfectly cooked. Spicing is accurate and authentic, and the falafel are never greasy. The hummus is very good, but the Baba Ganoush is the star. I've tried dozens, here and in Greece, but don't remember any as good as this version. The Middle Eastern sweets in the bakery case are all authentic, which to me means way too sweet. Big plus in my book: When you order, the terminal takes Apple Pay. Why don't all restaraunts in America have Apple Pay?
