I went with the Shredded Pot Roast Sandwich and, since I love a salad bar, I got the salad bar as one of my sides. I don't know what it is about a salad bar that always makes me want to get it. But I think the fact that I don't have to prep all the vegetables is always a highlight. And who can argue with the size of the salad you make or the amount of toppings you put on your salad. Combine that with the fact that it was loaded potato soup day for the bar and you had me at that. Needless to say I ended up leaving here heavier than when I arrived. I want to applaud the staff here. Solely because they handled a Karen rather appropriately. This Karen arrived with disdain, she was appalled that the salad bar didn't have the ONE item she was hoping would be on the bar. She made this known to her server, who just happened to be our server. When the server didn't have the answer she wanted, she wanted to talk with whoever was involved with the salad bar that shift. So that person came out, who, as calmly as ever could be, explained to this lady the same thing the server just said. That, too, did not suffice, she asked for the manager...OH NO, dear God *gasp* The manager came out, and surprise, gave the Karen the same. exact. answer. What was the answer, you ask? That the person that usually manages the salad bar had called out sick and they were doing their best to have the salad bar set up properly (honestly, it was set up how every single location sets it up). Well, Karen didn't care that people have lives and things happen, she wasn't paying for whatever they had just ordered and decided she would go elsewhere. So, yes, the staff here did a great job dealing with an entitled person. I applaud you. I really hope that this Karen enjoyed wherever she went that was 'nearby.' Here are my reviews for what we ate: Giant Cinnamon-Roll Pancake - 4.5 stars - I did not measure this pancake, but it was a very, very large size. Surprisingly, I ate most of it, and I might have eaten all of it if I hadn't planned to eat lunch two hours later. The pancake was fluffy and topped with sweet icing, but I think that it could use more cinnamon. Bagel Breakfast Sandwich - 4.5 stars - My husband ate this sandwich. The bagel, cheese, crispy bacon, and eggs tasted very good. Assorted Cookies - 4.5 stars - These cookies came in several flavors, and I ordered one of each flavor. The waitress, however, told me that two of the flavors were out of stock, which was not true, because I literally took a photo of those cookies in the display case, and you can see that photo attached to this review. She brought out very cold cookies in flavors of triple chocolate chip (which my husband really liked), oatmeal raisin, Reese's (one of my favorites), chaos (several ingredients), and lemon blueberry (my other favorite).
