My husband first found this brewery on Yelp the last time we visited my in-laws. We remembered that the food was pretty good too so we decided to stop by again while we were visiting our aunt. It happened to be their anniversary weekend so they were pretty busy. I'm not much of a beer drinker so I didn't order anything to drink but my husband got an IPA and enjoyed it just as much as the last time. For food, I ordered the gyro sandwich and my husband got the lobster rolls. Unfortunately, my gyro was a bit too salty and slightly charred so I didn't enjoy it as much as I had hoped. However, I absolutely loved the chips that came with it. I can't remember what they called them but they tasted almost like a funnel cake and were very addictive. They had some tables set up outside and since it was warm enough that evening, we decided to sit out there. I just wish the lighting had been a little better because it was pretty dark. I even had to ask my husband to use his phone's flashlight so I could take pictures of the food. LOL read more

For this particular experience- we got take out. It was a pretty busy Saturday night but they were able to have our order ready in 30 minutes. There was live entertainment happening so it was a little loud. Food pick-up was easy but there was a line a few people deep to open / close tabs. I do like that they have outdoor seating. This was a pretty cool spot to stop in for lunch. They had 3 TVs so we could watch football while enjoying their beer and food. The staff was super friendly as soon as we walked in and instantly asked what type of beer we like and ran off to get us a bunch of samples. They have quite a variety of beers so it was nice to try a few options before ordering. The food menu was a random mixture of stuff like grits, tacos, gyros, mac/cheese, and more. The staff suggested a few things and we really enjoyed what we picked. The location is easy to find with lots of parking but you are on a busy road and the patio is basically in the parking lot. I think the location for this brewery leaves a bit to be desired being right along the busy highway, but the beers have always been quite good and definitely worth a stop on our way through Latrobe. The inside however is quite nice, clean modern and new. They have an open kitchen and a diverse menu. I ordered the ridge runner a tasty hazy IPA. My other half had a pale ale and the Vanilla Porter. The porter was really good. Expanding my experiences and getting into some dark beers lately and this was a keeper. They have lots of table seating along with bar seating. Several televisions to watch sports and entertain yourself. Worth the stop for sure, great beer! read more

By far, the most entertaining of our stops during our Western PA self-guided brewery tour... The guys working the bar were super friendly and super helpful, and chatty as well (I like that quite a bit). The beers offered were very good as evidenced by the one we had. Either I was extremely hungry and would eat anything or this is the best burger I've ever had. I'm gonna go with option two. I love how the kitchen is right in front of the bar so you can watch them make your food. Mac & cheese is also to die for! Try their pumpkin beer too when it's on tap. Stopped in after Steelers training camp to try this place out. It's not a huge space, but it was busy inside. They serve food apparently and the cook area was right in the bar area. They had a band getting ready to play when I arrived. I only had one beer but it was pretty good. It was something that I normally would never order, it was a peach/vanilla bean cold brew blonde. Definitely not my normal beer but the server allowed me to sample it as his suggested choice and I ordered one. I felt bad for the younger server as he seemed to be handling most of the patrons and kept apologizing for any delay. I know he was the only person who checked in on me despite another person working with him. I did order some soft pretzel sticks with beer cheese. The pretzels were as you would expect from frozen. I wasn't a fan of the beer cheese at all, it just was not good. All in all I would go back, try some other drinks and not get the pretzels. read more

This was our first trip here. It's not officially on the Laurel Highlands Pour Tour but we walked away with a stamp in our passport books. This was a good brewery. The beers were good. I had tried several which were all good but the lager was my favorite. I purchased a Crowley of it for home. Service was quick and very friendly. We had a nice time here. Bartenders greeted us kindly and let us sample different beers to make sure we found the right one. We didn't have to order food here but we glanced at the menu. I found a pale ale that I liked a lot. I ended up ordering the Mac n cheese and I liked it a lot. It was a large portion. Great food to go with beer. I like the open format where you can see the chef's making the food. The chef even came around to see how we liked the food. So good atmosphere, clean, pretty good beer, and tasty food. We tried Unity Brewing today for the first time and we were super impressed. Though we just ordered take out because of COVID-19, we were able to see around the inside at pick up and it is beautiful! The facility is so cool and I can't wait to visit once everything reopens! The staff that helped us were so friendly and helpful and answered any questions we had. We ordered a bunch of food over the phone and asked for beer to go when we picked up, which they were happy to accommodate. The prices were very reasonable, especially for the quality of the food and drinks we had. We ordered the goat cheese dip, forest mushrooms, house burger, and petit filet sandwich. The goat cheese dip was ADDICTIVE. Same with the forest mushrooms. They were seasoned perfectly and very meaty. When it came to our sandwiches, both were cooked absolutely perfectly. We asked for medium rare and they were spot on, exactly what we wanted. All of the food was high quality, and not at all greasy. For beer, we ordered the nectar and the lemon lime electro sour. Both were great! I'm not at all a beer person but I LOVED the sour. We were so happy with our experience and can't wait to visit again! read more

This brewery is a hidden gem! The beer is great! I especially like the Vanilla Blonde Ale. The atmosphere is great, the food options are varied and all looked good. Just got the Caribbean Coffee Crusted Chicken Sandwich w/ a side of Pan-Fried Red Skin Potatoes. Amazing meal. Slightly spicy, perfect flavor combo with the sauces on the sandwich. Recommend to anyone who likes a solid chicken sandwich. The pan fried potatoes were also amazing. Crispy, delicious, and great when mixed with any left over sauce that drips off the sandwich. Aside, this place is amazing. If you're stopping in or from the area, the beer is great, Vanilla Bean Blonde is my go to. Hint of Vanilla Taste and relatively light beer. Absolutely wonderful from start to finish! The owners Kevin and Al are great host and love to hear what you have to say. The beer selection is vast, giving everyone something for their taste buds. The chef Kevin is a master in his own art. I recommend trying a taste of whatever tickles your taste buds , especially the espresso beer and the blonde, neither of which I thought I would enjoy but I find myself recommending both. As far as pairing food to beer, I would suggest having a glass of the vanilla blonde with a burger and a glass of oatmeal stout with the mushrooms. read more

I give it a two star review only because I liked the beer. However the food sanitation, completely visible by the patrons, was non-existent. Milk based products like heavy cream and cheese were left outside of refrigeration at room temperature. Raw shrimp was handled with cooked shrimp. Gloves were not worn by staff. In fact the staff was more interested in drinking their own beers than cleaning the kitchen. The flat top grill (supposed to be silver) is blacker than the driveway. But to top it all off, the head chef running his hands through hair, then immediately cooking a patrons meal was just enough for me to leave the location. Serious help needs to be applied here. Where is the owner at? What standards are you holding your employees to? Where is your Serve Safe certification at? read more

There's alot of cross contamination when preparing food. All of the ingredients that are supposed to be refrigerated were sitting right out in front of us on the bar. The oven and flat top grill looks like it hasn't been cleaned since last year when we were there. The cooks don't even wash their hands or use gloves when prepping food. Kinda disappointing. We were excited to try out a local brewery buuuuuut. OMG so we arrived at 5:50 there were roughly a dozen folks in the brewery but service was spartan. We waited and read the note on the table if we don't serve you come to the bar so I did at 6:06 our simple dinner order was placed. Then bummer 6:50 rolled around no food and no follow up for additional drink I asked hey is our dinner started yet.......NOPE. The waitress said the cook could have it ready in five minutes. LOL. Doubt it. So not wanting to make a bad experience worse we cut our losses at our drinks Secret Squirrel (tastes like dish soap) and Pineapple Seltzer (bland). Beer was good and perhaps I was just there on an off day but an hour and a half after ordering food, still no food. Yes there were other people there but I wouldn't call it slammed. The kitchen also lost the ticket for food of friends I was there with when they went to check on how much longer it would be. Even then they couldn't tell us when our food would be ready. Then to top it off the Chef was handing out his 'mistakes' to other peoples orders to folks who weren't even at the brewery for a half hour while the rest of the place was still waiting on their food.
