Fun 9 hole par 3 great place to get in a fast round. Great way to play late in the day and have a fun family time.

Played one of the first rounds at the new Cadet Course at Falcon Crest. Greens and fairways were in excellent condition, of course being opening weekend. Hopefully golfers will fix divots and keep the course in good shape thru the summer. This is a 9 hole course great for beginners or working on your short game with distances ranging from 80-150yds from their back tees (2 tee options). There are several water holes as well to add some challenge. It's easily accessible for walking and a cart is not needed. We finished a round in about 80min. This could be a great warm up round before 18 on the championship course or quick round for an early morning/evening wrap up. read more

Very disappointed with my experience here. First off the course is under construction yet they charge you full price for a round (I guess if people still pay it, why not gouge them). 17 and 18 are so short that it's comical from what they were before. Secondly, they still have gas carts and by the time you get to the turn you're pretty sick of inhaling exhaust fumes. Finally, the player assistant is constantly up your ass that you want to ask him is he will join you as a fifth (and we were right behind the group in front of us). That will be the last time I play Falcon and it's unfortunate because it once was enjoyable and had one of the more challenging holes (18) around read more

I have been playing this course off and on for 20 years or so. Went and played it a few weeks ago and man has it changed. Must be over 500 new homes out there in the last couple of years and a few hundred more are coming. Took out the executive course for the houses and put a huge pond on #16 that you will never get your ball out of. Must be 50 feet deep. The thing that really amazes me is they have a club house that needs to be torn down and a nice one put in. You got all that extra money from all those lots you sold. Now all those people need somewhere nice to go for a drink and dinner. Not a trailer out front of the club house. Just saying. read more

I am from out of state and I always make it a point to come to Falcon Crest. Challenging greens pair perfectly with inviting fairways and really fun par 3's. Every time I've visited, the greens have rolled true and the course has been in perfect shape. One of the holes is under construction but that really isn't a knock. I think the 18th hole is the best finishing hole I've ever played. Can't say enough good things. Worth a visit in my opinion. read more

This used to be one of my favorite courses - but the developer and the golf architect that did the "renovation" should both be tarred & feathered. The good news is that the Championship 18 is fun and several holes are beautiful and quite challenging! The greens themselves were smooth and in pretty good shape overall. A cart is highly recommended though as 2 of the holes are "disjunct" and there is quite a walk between them. The bad news is that it is late May / early June and the fairways on the Freedom 9 (except near the entrance to the course) are very dry (almost burnt) and they are borderline ugly. The Freedom course used to have several twists, turns, some dog legs, and some beautiful trees. Most of that has been ripped out so the Developer could cram in as many itty-bitty house lots with similar-looking patio homes as he could. There are now several straight (and boring) holes on the Freedom 9, and I doubt I will play the Freedom 9 again this year as there are many other better options throughout the Treasure Valley. I am very disappointed as this used to be such a nice course. read more

Worst golf course by far in Boise. Played 5/11. Practice green closed. Driving range hard as a parking lot. Three holes modified and made shorter - nobody said anything about this on the website or in the pro shop. Weeds all over the fairways, seriously it was like they hadn't pulled a week this year. Ridiculous temporary greens played like a roller rink. Pro shop manned by someone who made Biden look lucid - couldn't tell me the yardage, couldn't provide a map, gave me the wrong scorecard. No place to get a snack at the turn. Cart girl seen on hole 1 in the shade on her cell phone, never to be seen again despite mid morning tee time. No announcement of who was teeing off, so players arrived late when they couldn't find the first hole. SERIOUSLY - THIS IS AMATEUR HOUR and I'LL NEVER GOLF THERE AGAIN. Pathetic - you'll find better maintenance and more seasoned professionals at your local Putt Putt course with your kids. read more

The courses is in terrible shape, a few holes from the construction aren't even playable. No water on the course. I would say, stay away until all the construction is done. They charge you full price and don't let you know that the courses under construction. read more

Beautiful golf courses with a variety of course challenge levels. I had not swung a club in awhile so the Robin Hood course was perfect for me. Nice par 3/par 4 course with little water and sand. For a Saturday afternoon, play was moving quickly and it was a great experience. Once I get a few rounds under my belt, I'll head back for the championship course. read more

I play quite a bit of golf and hadn't played Falcon for several years so was looking forward to playing today. Although the course was fun and challenging, it was a disappointing experience because of the poor condition of the club house, lack of food options and lack of course player oversight. They shut down the only food "shack" they had at 3 and it was a Saturday. We ended up with a group of 8 in front of us that they ended up splitting up in the middle of the back 9 and slowed the play WAY down. We ended up forfeiting the last 2 holes because we were so frustrated. read more

Man, I really enjoy golfing here. They have 3 courses with a total of 36 holes. They have their main course which is super fun with beautiful landscape along with some challenging holes, they have a par 31 executive called Robin Hood and another 9 holes called Freedom. This golf course is so beautiful with gorgeous surroundings of the country and not to mention excellent views of the foothills. I have been coming here for years and have always found friendly staff, good conditions of the course and most of all a place for great memories. I really enjoy all the water features surrounding this course in Kuna. It is like a heavenly oasis in the middle of the desert. I am partial to this course as it feels like I am away from the busyness of the city and I truly enjoy my time on the golf course. Come try it out if you like to golf, well worth the drive. read more

After being away from the Boise valley since 1999 this was a great find. We were looking for someplace to have fun golfing and Falcon Crest seems to be the place. We've only been on the Freedom and Robin Hood courses so far but fun every time. A great feature we also found was Erica Haney for lessons. Saw she was listed for the junior programs, but if she has the temperament for kids, olders with no training and bad habits might be the right match. Only a couple lessons in she has made changes and most importantly, she has made it fun. Falcon Crest has been easy to get on to and a great staff all around. Grounds are kept up throughout the year. Occasionally you'll get tips on what's ahead of you from the guys on the mowers. read more

This is one of my go to courses in the valley. The course is definitely tournament caliber when they prep for different tournament throughout the year. The staff is very friendly. I play there quite a bit and they all know who I am which is nice. The greens can be very fast if the super wants them to be. If they have a tournament coming up they tend to speed them up. If they are quick you definitely want to be below the hole every time. Playing from the tips makes it one of the longest courses in the valley. You will definitely bring more hazards into play. Definitely should be one course to play in the valley if you haven't already. read more

We had limited time so played the front nine only, a very tough course with lots of surprises for the new comer. The greens were in great shape, and a bit of water to come into play as one of the surprises. We will come back and play all 18 next time. read more

The course offers a challenging but playable layout, the grass is always in pristine condition, and the greens fees are very reasonable. I have played about every course in the valley and I always go back to Falcon Crest. The service is outstanding and the three courses are fun and challenging at the same time. I'm a 77 year young man and my buddy and I somehow always end up at Falcon Crest. We love the Freedom course but play Robin Hood also. The big course is a wonderful place to see how good you really are, and we challenge ourselves just to see if we can hit it over the lake on 18. Nice executive course in Kuna, Idaho. We had a beginner with us and the course wasn't too hard for her yet was challenging enough for the rest of us so everyone had fun. Prices were decent too. They also have a regulation course on the same property which looked a little more challenging. I'd love to try out their other courses next time I'm in the Boise area. read more

Played course 3 days in a row, early morning. Loved the layout. Ability to score if you hit your shots. Staff was great. Very accommodating and friendly. This course is very hilly and hard to play. It is unique but not to my liking. The staff here is stuck up, obnoxious, and rude. This course is overpriced compared to others and when I called I was quoted a lower price than what they charged me when I got there. When I challenged them they just said well who did you talk to and when I told them I didn't ask for a name they acted like I was a liar. To say the least I won't be playing here again. read more

I can't believe no one has reviewed this golf course. I live in Portland and we visit our kids in Boise several times a year. This is my favorite course in the Treasure Valley area. Do not miss this course! One caution - it is approx. 6 miles around it, so take a cart. Once again, great course and very friendly and helpful staff. I would give ZERO stars if I could -- I hardly ever write reviews & when I do it is because they are good. I have been golfing for a little over 3 years, not the best but not terrible. Me and my friend went out on a windy Sunday in Feb to do the Robin Hood course and on the 8th hole I was using my 8 iron to tee off on a par 3. This hole runs parallel to the course road, and these is NO NETTING whatsoever to shield cars coming and going. I am lefthanded and going into my swing when a car comes down the road -- I hooked it pretty bad, but then the wind really picked up and it was a high shot so it drifted right...right over the road where the car was coming. We waved our hands for them to stop, but they kept on coming. BOOM hits the trunk of the car and puts a dent in it. I was certain that the course had coverage for stuff like this, I mean they have a ROAD running right through their course and ZERO protection for errant balls -- this IS a golf course right? Especially for a hole right next to the road. So we exchange info, and I go to the clubhouse and the guy tells me that I am S.O.L. and to talk to the GM tomorrow. I call Mike Rapp the next day after I did some research into all this. Mike tells me this is all on me despite the course not taking any precautions WHATSOEVER. I ask him how am I supposed to feel safe golfing at his course if there is no netting on holes like that and I never signed a disclaimer?? He was very smug and short with me -- I even offered a solution; I asked him if he would give me a couple of rounds for free and I WOULD PAY for it all out of my pocket. I even told him I could get it at a discount because I am in the auto industry. He was quick to veto that -- I mean WHAT KIND OF CRAP CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THIS??! Typical of a course manager, they are arrogant and for the most part ignorant, but this blew me away. Then he says if I show him the bill he would "consider it," WHAT IS THERE TO CONSIDER MIKE??!?!? Is this how you treat your customers? Or am I not rich/influential enough to care about? He should have immediately said "I am sorry this happened to you, and I would be happy to get you a couple of rounds, I appreciate you being reasonable and just bring me an invoice of your repair bill." Disgusting really. ALL golfers BEWARE of this course, there are plenty of other courses to go to -- the Boise Ranch which is just down the street from them, is a great course with good customer service. They actually care about their golfers. Falcon Crest is also expensive compared to most places, so again many other courses to choose from. Sad because it is a nice course, just terrible customer service. *Edit* It gets better folks, Mike responds to my other review basically calling me a liar by saying that he did offer to compensate me a few rounds, ummm no Mike, you didn't bud. I guess let's add lying to the growing list of issues. Mike, this is simple -- agree to cover me a few rounds and OWN it pal. You know what the truth is, so do yourself a favor and quit digging this seemingly endless pit of bad customer service. read more

I only go here if friends are wanting to go, and my advice would be to go to this course if you are wanting some nice holes with good hills, selection, and scenery, but DO NOT expect any sort of service or "niceties," many others to choose from on that front. read more

The course was nice with all the ponds and rivers running through it. Be prepared for wind! I guess it's windy there all the time! The greens and fairways were alright but we've played better. I wasn't impressed with the facilities. Have your rule book handy so you don't have to ask the pro. He needs to read the book again! read more

Offers three different courses to play, the FALCON course is the best, but FREEDOM is good as well, so is ROBIN HOOD....dang i guess I like them all. Rates are fair and they usually have good deals going on. The pro-shop is tiny but they are all about the golf out there so it doesn't matter. Highly recommend playing any of the 3 courses offered at Falcon Crest golf course. The management/pro shop is very welcoming and informative. The course is always kept in great shape throughout the year. I played this evening (Feb. 24) and the course was in great shape, especially considering that it is only the end of February. If you have a chance call, make a tee time, whether you are looking for a day out with buddies or even a family outing- what a great place to play golf and enjoy the beautiful landscape/views.
