My long-time plumber recently retired, so I needed to go plumber shopping when my water heater sprung a leak. I have always had good luck selecting folks based on Yelp reviews and Fallbrook Plumbing didn't disappoint. Mitch, the owner, returned my voice mail promptly. He gave me instructions on how to shut down the water heater to stop the leak, pending repair. He then explained CA's new code requirements: drip leg and pressure relief tank. Since I have a two-tank setup, we went over the option of going with one larger heater rather than retaining my existing configuration. Mitch explained the long-term economic benefit of pursuing the one-tank option. It made perfect sense to me. The repair team was stellar. Hector and Kyle were courteous, efficient and answered all of my questions during the installation process. I had a tankless water heater that was leaking. I contacted Fallbrook Plumbing and requested a quote to replace the old water heater with a traditional 40 Gal. water heater. I approved the work and Mitch scheduled me a few days later. Mitch was great to work with, showed up on time, was clearly knowledgeable and did an excellent job on the install. I discovered my water heater was leaking and gave them a call after looking online for a local company. I have no complaints about the prompt response to my dilemma especially since it was right before Christmas. The owner came over within 2 hours, diagnosed the problem and got started right away. He drained my water heater & a technician arrived to continue the process of disconnecting and disposing of the old water heater while the owner went to purchase a new one. I was quoted a price of $1750 to replace & install a new unit. Once it was determined that the extent of the leak damage necessitated removing a section of the platform underneath the water heater, it was cut out and the plan was to dry it out overnight with a fan and replace the wood hopefully the next day. Upon closer inspection mold was discovered under the soggy platform. The technician from Fallbrook Plumbing told me the mold was no big deal, that a scientist had told him that the health dangers of exposure to mold are greatly exaggerated and that he would treat the problem by spraying it with bleach and then leave a fan on the area to dry it out. Replacement of the paltform & treatment were going to cost me approximately an additional $500. Luckily my next door neighbor, a licensed contractor, came over at this time and stopped the work prior to mold spores being spread around my home by the fan. I had another company treat the problem which included sealing off the affected areas, treatment, removal & replacement of drywall both in my laundry room and garage plus other required repairs. I subsequently purchased a tankless water heater and am very happy with it and the plumbing company I chose to install it. I ended up paying Fallbrook Plumbing $440 for the labor & materials used in removing & disposing of my old water heater plus opening up the wooden platform underneath. Funny thing though -- the narrative on the invoice I received mentions nothing of finding mold once the platform was opened up. Both the owner and the technician were here. The invoice just says my neighbor arrived and I decided to stop their work. I would NOT recommend Fallbrook Plumbing unless you have a minor issue requiring a quick fix -- and certainly not if MOLD is involved. read more

All I have to say is wow Mitch you rock I had a 16 year old water heater take a crap on me went and got a new one well when I went to put it in I ran into a whole bunch of issue that where not in my comfort zone but thanks to Mitch and his crew they got it up and running and brought it up to code and cleaned up the huge maze of pipes of water lines now it look professional and cleans if you want the best work in Fallbrook you need to call these guys they are true craftsman very clean work done in a reasonable time and price and there welds on the copper piping are amazing and clean some of the best work I have ever seen thanks again Mitch for getting my home up and running and looking great read more

I called Mitch because of the good reviews here and he agreed to come out same day. When another job went a little long, Mitch called to say he'd still be by, but a bit later than agreed. MItch and Kyle showed up with the right equipment to clear my main line sewer clog and had it narrowed down within and fixed within a few minutes. Because I'd had another clog a year or so earlier due to tree roots that grew through a cracked ceramic pipe they cleared all the way to the street main sewer line to ensure the roots hadn't come back. All this for a price that was lower than the lowest listing for several other plumbers doing the same job that popped up at HomeAdvisor.com. Fallbrook Plumbing is awesome! I called yesterday afternoon and spoke to Mitch, the owner. I needed my hot water heater replaced ASAP! It shorted out because of a leak (12 years old, electric). I was heading of of town the next day and would be gone for a while, didn't want to come home to a cold shower. He was immediately available to pretty much diagnose my problem over the phone in a matter of minutes. I even sent him a picture message so he could see my problem before he came. We had an estimate from another company indicating there was a slab leak. After reviewing the leak myself, I noticed the leak was coming from the wall, not the floor. I called Fallbrook Plumbing, spoke with Mitch and he offered to stop by that day. Mitch arrived, quickly assessed the leak to be a leak from a pipe in the wall. He also informed us that some plumbers exaggerate the extent of leaks to charge more. Mitch had it repaired in under an hour. Wow. What a breath of fresh air! My wife and I started our addition and kitchen remodel earlier this year. We needed an experienced plumber to re-route existing lines, install new gas and water lines, and set up our new sinks, appliances, and fixtures. When Mitch first arrived to give us an estimate, our kitchen was already stripped down to the framing and subfloors so we had to provide him with the plans and specs. Not only was he able to provide an estimate on the spot, his price was very reasonable. During the work, Mitch and his crew were spectacular. The quality of the work was outstanding. I received a text early Monday morning from my tenant that the Pilot light was out on the water heater and consequently no hot water.
