Awful company. If you are buying from a vendor that uses Fallon via DeliveRight I would not make the purchase. They will not deliver until they have enough shipments and they have a limited number of trucks that apparently break down frequently. We've had to reschedule multiply times. We ordered a Purple mattress. Purple is using Fallon to get the mattress to us in NH. They only come to NH on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Last Thursday, we waited and waited. They were expected by 4:00pm. I didn't hear anything from them until after 8pm telling us they wouldn't be coming. "No kidding?" Oh and you can't get a hold of anyone after 3:00pm. I called Friday morning, was told they would put us the truck for Tuesday. Monday came and went with no text/phone call on delivery window. Called Wednesday...apparently we were told some bogus story that we were not scheduled for Tuesday, but we were for Thursday. Now, keep in mind, my fiancée and myself both have jobs and leaving work early is not always an option. Got the call Thursday "oh the truck is broken down and has to be towed...blah blah. It's almost laughable, in fact I think I started laughing on the phone. "Oh, we're sending a truck tomorrow (Friday). Window 1-4. It's now after 4:00 and still waiting on the truck to show. read more

I used Fallon for a move from Connecticut to South Carolina. They may be fine for short distance/same day moving but for long distance the experience was a nightmare! Let me say when packing our furniture everything was wrapped, padded and handled with care before loading on a full-size moving truck which was completely filled right up to the back doors. Then the nightmare began. It took 10 days to get our entire household goods and no one in the office could tell me when I would be receiving them until the 8th day. "That's just how life is." I was told. ( I assure you, we were not anticipating the expense of a 10 day hotel stay). The truck arrived at our new home but it was 2/3 the size of the truck that moved us out in Connecticut. The result? In trying to fit our goods into a much smaller truck, the furniture was unwrapped to put heavy boxes on top of it causing damage, drawers were taken out with the contents thrown in large trash bags -including my clothing- so more boxes could be shoved into the spaces, the back of my desk was broken out along with the drawers being emptied. But the most destressing thing was they not only opened our clothing wardrobe boxes to shove more items in to it, but they were crushed beyond recognition from loading heavy items on top of them. They went through my clothing! In addition, it was obvious our wardrobe boxes were placed in some yellow liquid during the 10 days of storage thoroughly damaging clothing that dry cleaning couldn't reconcile. Items marked fragile were crushed. We took pictures of the initial damage and sent them to Fallon. Although they sounded upset, the next day we got a phone call telling us they "forgot" to bill us an additional $500!! Be aware Fallon is a contractor for long distance moving. They don't do it themselves. We should have gone with United. read more

Using Fallon a second time was a disastrous experience. I was very disappointed. This time, their movers were inexperienced and sloppy. My TV screen was shattered because they failed to box it, though I paid for this service. My bureau may have fallen in the truck because the edges were broken and drawers no longer align and close. Any furniture they moved was damaged beyond repair. Fallon will reimburse by weight which translates into a fraction of the cost of the damage they created. Potential customers beware, this company is a sham and seems to use inexperienced staff who don't know or care about your items. Boxes were broken and piled one above the others, despite labels of items being fragile. The stress of moving was beyond anything I ever experienced, and I have moved many times! read more

The most ridiculous, gas lighting experience. In short, the driver was the worst person I've encountered in a while. We had a simple pick-up - a Lovesac return with a cover. When he arrived to our house, before he even got out of the moving truck, it was waiting for him at the front door - it's the smallest, lightest sac they have, I carried it myself. I greeted them with the door wide open and the sac ready to go - then had to go upstairs, we live in a townhouse, to grab the cover. Maybe a "wait" of 30 secs tops. They happened to come at the very same moment my husband needed to leave for an appointment, they were blocking our 2 car wide driveway completely, and I asked the driver if he wouldn't mind moving the truck back so my husband could get out - a mere 3 ft - and then we could finish the paperwork. I had to ask him twice. Worth noting, he'd been at our house for about 3 mins at this point. He walked (stomped almost) away from me saying that he'd send the paperwork to whatever contact info he had, signaling that he was leaving - and I had to Follow him to the truck and open the passenger side door (where his partner was sitting, yes, there were Two delivery men) to tell him that was not cool. After I got in his face about it, he moved the truck, and got back out to finish the paperwork, and proceeded to gas light me. That I wasn't "ready" for him when he got here and that he was on a time clock and he'd already been there for too long, and that he was leaving to move the truck instead of leaving and etc etc. Needless to say we ended up in a screaming match bc whatever he thought by looking at me, I wasn't going to take his very large pile of horsesh1t. I called the office and they could CARE LESS. I suspect the mover was a terrible person, because the office is made up of terrible people. That's usually how it goes. If this SIMPLE transaction which took 10 mins in total, including the screaming match, is SO painful and went down hill SO fast ... you probably don't want to use this company for anything at all. read more

I reviewed Fallon earlier. The guys were nice but as I said, they put heavy boxes on fragile boxes. Left boxes with arrows pointed up on their side. Additionally, I have just found out they disassembled a torchiere lamp we need by disconnecting where the bulb comes into contact w the lamp. I have no idea where that is as we desperately need it since have no built in ceiling lights. Unpacking in mellow nightstand lamps sucks. The more I unpack, the more I find carelessness. Every day I am more disappointed. Just noticed another HORRIBLE DEAL!!!How do they snap off a handle on a dresser that is brand new?!?!!!!?!!!! If you want to move boxes and furniture to the correct places (not even the right floors in many cases...the heaviest boxes were just left in the garage!) because the movers carelessly put the items in the wrong places (despite thorough instruction and clear labeling), use Fallon. If you want to find furniture outside in the rain as you watch the moving truck start to pull away, use Fallon. If you want to be told, curtly and disrespectfully, that you must pay their egregious excesses before they will a) deliver your goods or b) even talk with you about your damage claim, use Fallon. If when you complain, you want to be treated belligerently and called names, from even the owner himself, use Fallon. If you want to find evidence (empty cans, bottles, etc.) indicating that the movers helped themselves to your beer/alcohol while they were unloading your goods, use Fallon. If you want runaround after runaround as you pursue your damage claim, use Fallon. FACT: Every single one of these things happened, without exaggeration, in my move with Fallon. I had a terrible experience with this company. I had to hire a company 2 weeks before a move from CT to southern Texas. One crew was to come the day before loading the truck and pack 2 kitchens, some artwork and framed pictures, as well as some china. This crew did not have on masks, put them on reluctantly when asked. (My elderly mother was present) They did not do half of the required packing, stating the crew the next day would finish up. No inventory was done. The loading crew had NO idea they needed to do any packing, therefore had NO packing materials. Johnny, the driver asked my 23 year old daughter to drive him to New Haven to get those materials. He decided to hit on my daughter while on the job. NOT cool. All through the day, things turned up that the first crew did not pack, so Johnny complained endlessly about this. This was upsetting to us, and struck as very unprofessional. After this crew left, we discovered items of patio furniture not loaded, another crew had to return for a third day to complete this packing and loading. Still, a food processor was found in a cupboard the morning I was beginning the 3 day drive to Texas, a neighbor had to ship this to us, The rest of the second crew was great, polite and professional. Fast forward 2 weeks on unloading day. It was 115 degrees out, and all our belongings unloaded into garage and family room of new house. I was not present, my husband did not inventory every item coming off truck, as he wanted the crew to get getting and out of the heat. 3 weeks later, we moved in, and as things were unpacked and moved to their areas, we discovered our big screen smart TV was not unloaded. We filed a claim, which was denied. THe rep states: "2 TVs were scanned as coming off the truck." Which is odd, as we only have the ONE TV. So, if you are reading this: DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. Also, be anal, and inventory every single thing coming off the truck. Our china closet is missing 2 glass panels, microwave tray also missing. I'm sure we'll find other things missing. We moved and needed storage for 6 weeks. They forgot to count the boxes when packing so promised to do it when they unloaded. They lost our box of china from our wedding registry. When I called to let them know they sent a letter saying all customer check off sheets were signed and no indication of items missing at delivery. We unpacked ourselves so of course we would not have known at the time of delivery. Some other not so important things like glasses are missing but nothing I care about more than the china. Fallon was delivering mattresses for our new home. Their automated system provided a two hour window a few days before. The day of their automated message again called to say they were a half hour away. I was out of town so I had people at the home to receive the delivery. They watched as the driver pulled up looked at our driveway and drove on. I immediately called the home office to ask what happed. They said the driver took a picture of the driveway and said he couldn't make it up. I explained we had people at the house and they had a pick up truck and could come down to the driver. They couldn't reach their driver so they said we would need to reschedule. So despite me being fully prepared Fallons lack of communication and a properly trained staff means no mattresses for us in our new home. As I tried to figure out a constructive solution customer service hung up on me. I also noticed they redirect all negative reviews to FMS saying it is a separate company. If I could give them zero stars I would. I have already posted this all over social media as well. The owner Ray apparently did not like that (see notes at the end of this post.) Atlas Van Lines and their affiliate Fallon Moving & Storage just got this message below from me. Wonder if they know I do social media for a living and my boyfriend is a national sports broadcaster....hmmmm. Anyone ever deal with anything like this? "My boyfriend and I have been dealing with Fallon Moving & Storage the Atlas Van Lines affiliate in Connecticut. It has been AWFUL. I do not recommend them to anyone. The paperwork was sent over to Lisa Doucette who apparently is not there anymore. It was sent numerous times and she said she never received it, but then Michele received it, etc. This place is NOT tech savvy at all. Then we were forced to deal with Michele Harris who was incredibly rude and condescending. Now they are telling us our stuff is finally on the way to California, but we can only take delivery on 1 day (their delivery driver is running behind) and if I don't take it on the day it is available I have to pay an extra $800 or so to have a local transfer company delivery my goods. (Side note: he is out of town dealing with a funeral so there is no way we can be there that day!) They also say our road is not accessible for large trucks but I've seen semi trucks making deliveries there everyday. They go based on assumption and this is a bad way to do business. In addition, our stuff was packed July 9th and didn't even LEAVE Connecticut until August 19th. And now they want us to be on THEIR timeline? This is just crazy. Between the 2 of us we have moved over 22+ times on corporate moves and have NEVER experienced such bad service. I am working with their corporate office now, so we'll see how that goes. I would never deal with them again. I don't understand why they didn't ship my stuff to California, and have it held there until I was ready to take delivery. I'm sure they were trying to cut some corners and take in the income for the storage or maximize their own profit opportunity somehow. My estimate is also over $1000 more than they originally quoted. Do not use them!!! Next up: I will be posting on Yelp and every place on the Internet I can think of." As I am typing this, my boyfriend called to tell me the owner Ray called him and said it was unacceptable for me to be damaging his "sterling" reputation on social media, and then the owner proceeded to hang up on him! Unfortunately, people should do their homework when it comes to moving companies. I do not recommend this company for several reasons... the first is its expensive and all your belongings may not arrive at the location and when a claim is submitted it is denied. Their itemized list is a bunch of sku numbers with no details. The movers do work hard but there is no carefulness when moving items and things do end up with pieces missing, tables with scratch marks and boxes are damaged. I dont think its clear that your items will sit in a trailer getting up to 140 degrees for 7 plus days with heat and humidity. That means anything you are shipping has the high chance of mold, etc. I would recommend using a pod, packing yourself, and taking the chance instead of this process. Worst moving & storage company I've ever used. I would never recommend this company to anyone. They state their hours are from 8am-5pm, but not for pickups. Pickups need to be done between 8:00am-11:45. They have a "hard close" at 11:45 and don't return until 1:00pm for lunch. I ordered a tub online and it eventually was moved to their storage facility for final delivery. My tracking said the tub would be delivered on 7/12, so I called to confirm. The woman told me it was scheduled to be delivered on the first half of 7/15. I was already unhappy that it was going to take another 3 days to deliver. I called on 7/14 to confirm delivery on the 15th and Juan told me it won't be delivered until 7/19. I asked if anything can be done, because my contractors are waiting for the tub and it's already been there for 3 days. He said nothing and the only thing we can do is pick it up. Now, I've already paid $80 for delivery. I rented a Uhaul, since it wasn't going to fit in my car for another $200+gas. I spoke to him at 2pm and said we will be coming to pick up the tub. I asked what time they closed and he said 3pm. What place closes at 3PM??? So they open between 8-11:45 and 1PM-3pm. What a life. I sent my guys up there on 7/15 (Did i mention we are over an hour away from the warehouse?). They caught some traffic and arrived at the warehouse at 11:55. I called at 11:45 and spoke with Juan. Told him that my guys are around the corner and will be there in 5 minutes; just want to make sure they don't close the gate. He seemed fine with it , but a woman in the background said "No. We have a hard close at 11:45!" So my guys get there and they had to wait an hour until they opened up again at 1pm to load a tub that took 2 minutes to load. Estes is the company who sent my tub to Fallon and I will be informing them also about how horrible the service is and they should stop doing business with them. it all starts with customer service, which Fallon Moving & storage does not have. We purchased furniture and the broker used assigned our delivery to Fallon. Between getting emails and text messages, we were happy to know delivery was to be on 8/25 between 7-9 AM. Approximately at 9:29 AM we received another email stating the delivery truck was on there way. I called Fallon after 10 AM asking if the driver was on his way. This is when I was told "OH" the delivery will not take place today! So I'm supposed to call? why weren't we called - still no clue! Juan seemed nice but not helpful. He said delivery will be now on 8/27. I ended the call. I just felt uneasy about the delivery and called again to speak with Juan's manager (JOELA)? Well she was pretty rude and probably forgot who the customer was! She hung up on my husband because she was not going to be talked to like she was! Sorry, but her hanging up was not called for! I called again and asked for her Manager which was LYNDIA! She was just as bad as all the rest! During this entire ordeal, not once did anyone apologize. Customer service starts from the top right Lyndia? Bottom line, we received our furniture on 8/27 and the driver and helper were the best! I was in the Relocation industry for over 40 years and many times you have to "bite you tongue" and listen to the customer. Sorry Fallon, you have no idea how to listen! Moving is never easy, but the experience we had with Fallon Moving and Storage helped take the load off. First, we had the initial walk through and estimate with Steve. He was very professional and up to date with his digital program to efficiently inventory what stayed, what got moved, and what got stored. Then, on packing day we had the talented team of Leroy, Shawn and Isaiah. They were on time, very friendly, and were careful and thoughtful about everything they packed. They left us our mattress so we had something to sleep on, then picked it up in the morning before they made the delivery to our new place. The delivery went great too. The team was helpful in making sure everything got into the right rooms and that I was happy with where the furniture was placed. The pieces they put back together were done with care and there was not one thing damaged in the move or set up. We would highly recommend using Fallon Moving and Storage, as they were highly recommended to us!! ***My only concern is that I wish there was a way they could reuse some of the boxes and paper. It seems so wasteful (yet necessary). Maybe have some buy/give back system. read more

We have received a similar quote from two other companies. We chose this company since they said it would be one day moving and they are specialized in piano and organ. After we paid the deposit, we were told it would be two days moving. On the first day, they would move all essential items for the first day so that we could start in the new house. We thought as long as the moving would be smooth, we decided not to bother to change the moving company after paying the deposit. The movers were not experienced nor informed our plan. On the first night around 9:30PM, we had only two mattresses at the new house. My daughter slept on the floor. On the second day, we stopped the movers not to assemble furniture etc otherwise they would need a third day. The boxes were everywhere, the baseball stand was lying down on the grass, and many items were not delivered to the right rooms. When I asked how the "quote" would change, I was not informed if the final cost would be much higher because of the delayed moving due to their inexperienced movers. Before the moving day, we already moved several items including all pictures, mirrors, and fragile items. We expected much less moving time and cost based on their quote. After moving, they said it was close to $5000 and they adjusted the price to early $4000. It is still $1000 more than the quote. In addition, the floor was damaged, the piano and a desk got chipped. The playscape was installed a week later. I am writing this review to protect other prospective clients. This response from the owner can be misguided. 1. The sales person saw all equipment and the instruments and gave me the quote. We had two other companies with the similar quotes and times. It ended up the "over 10-years experienced movers" took almost 14 hours on the first day which supposed to be the total moving hours). 2. Yes, they reduced the final price from $5000 to $4000 which is still $1000 more than the quote. We moved twice over ten years so we have our expectation. This is far less than usual. 3. We clearly said we needed all bed sets. The movers even did not know the two-days moving plan. They put all essentials inside and could not take out from the truck. We filed for the claim on August 17th as they directed but we did not hear any. We don't expect any from this company based on their service level. But just be careful with this company. Do not use this company to move. I decided to use this company over another one back in July 2014- and it was the worse experience!!! First they quoted me wrong, therefore the 3 movers that they sent were not enough. The only experienced mover was the manager... The other two guys had no idea what they were doing. The movers started to get tired during the move (and I paid them by the hour). They began dropping boxes and smashed my dishes and house decor. I called the company in the middle of the move to tell them that the workers are getting tired and they need to send someone else out! Well... they said they will call me back - AND NEVER DID! Needless to say, I paid almost $300 over what I was quoted to pay AND MY STUFF GOT SMASHED. After the move I called the company back (because nobody ever called me back after I called during the move). I was told to file a complaint.... and I did. It was a very detailed complaint. It got ignored! I called the company multiple times and I was told that the OWNER NEEDS TO LOOK INTO THIS (THIS WAS A MONTH AFTER IT WAS FILED). This all started with awful planning in the office and bad quote. It is 2/07/2015 and I have never heard back from them after sending them multiple pictures of how my items got destroyed. Our closing got moved 3 times. Each time Fallon (and Casey) couldn't have been more accommodating. On the day of the move, the guy in charge had a bad fall off the truck and hurt his ankle, yet stayed there and gutted it out. Fallon failed to meet either the promised delivery date or the rescheduled date. Owner, Ray Fallon was rude, told me to take it up with the seller, and hung up on me. (I was firm about them making good on their commitment, but professional and courteous throughout). Delivery was promised by July 28th. Today is August 2. Delivery was through Fallon Moving & Storage, Inc. in Hartford, CT. Item was received by Fallon on Friday, July 22. After a series of messages, on Monday, July 25th I connected with Danielle at Fallon (who was courteous and tried to be helpful). Danielle said that they deliver in my area (Western MA) on Tuesdays, but that the truck for Tuesday, July 26th was full. She said delivery was scheduled for the following Tuesday, August 2nd. I told Danielle that delivery was promised by July 28th, and that I needed the item for the weekend. Danielle said that she would see what she could do. The day before the July 28th promised delivery, another (helpful person) explained to me that they were waiting for "off day" delivery authorization from Simmons. I did not receive my item. Today is Tuesday, August 2nd--the date for delivery unilaterally set by Fallon Moving & Storage, and I still have not received my item. When I called in this afternoon to find out where my delivery was, Danielle (who again was courteous throughout), explained to me that the reason the item was not being delivered today, was because Fallon still was waiting for the "Off Day Authorization" from Simmons. Danielle seemed to recognize the absurdity that the reason they did not deliver today was because they still were waiting for authorization to deliver last week. I asked Danielle to connect me with the owner. I was placed on hold for an extended period until Kasey picked up. (I only later learned that Kasey was not the owner, but rather the owner's daughter). After a long discussion, Kasey agreed that they would schedule delivery for a week later (Tuesday, August 9th), and would try to get authorization to deliver before then. I asked Kasey why this wasn't the procedure they used last week which would have resulted in the delivery being only 4 days late instead of now scheduled for 11 days late? Before Kasey could answer, a man who identified himself as the owner "Ray" took the phone from her. He said that they couldn't help me, I should take it up with Simmons, and he hung up on me. Fallon moved from one part of Manchester to the other--from one 2 bedroom apartment to another--using a 3 man crew. Their rates were competitive, their movers were efficient, and their customer service was professional. What I appreciated most is what these movers did NOT do: take their sweet time, charge me hidden fees, underestimate the move time, damage my furniture, damage either apartment, and so forth. read more

This company was tasked with the Ryder 'final mile' delivery for furniture ordered online. They no call/no showed on the first delivery date, and did the same thing on the next attempt despite the general manager being called after hours by Ryder and guaranteeing the delivery would be made. We wasted two days waiting around through missed delivery windows and eventually cancelled the entire order out of frustration with this company's lack of honesty and follow through. Very disappointing to have custom ordered furniture get within 30 minutes of your home and they could not finish the job. I would recommend calling anyone else, you can not do worse. read more

Movers that came to the move were great, few things were broken and I have yet to be contacted yet about the issues. They are really good at taking your money, not so good at customer service. The employees that moved everything were kind, quick, and professional they were very apologetic when a piece of furniture broke. Also found out when I went to use my sleep number bed a few nights later the inside pad broke, the box was damaged in the move. I have left a message and sent in an email asking about the process to get this addressed. It's been a few days now with no response. They were more expensive then a few other places we contacted. The sales guy was great at the pitch and close. Poor on fallow up after they get paid. I was told by the mover to contact the company about any damages. My suggestion is use a different moving company. I'm a busy guy, I understand things happen but not to respond after a few days is careless. My assumption is they have no intention on making anything right. read more

Worst movers ever! They low-bid their estimate and after the move, raised my price by ~$1000 (+20%). As this was an in-state move in CT, it's based on time & materials. I selected them based on their estimate of time & # boxes. After the estimate was provided, we ended-up with a much smaller house and threw away/gave away 15~20% of our goods - we down-sized. So, I actually expected these guys to come in lower. The crew worked like "grandmas" and milked me for all it's worth. I moved in to a ~1400 sq. ft. home with a small basement. These guys took an entire day to pack (12 hrs), an entire day to load (11 hrs) and an entire day to unload (10 hrs). I couldn't believe it. How are you supposed to argue with them during the move - I was afraid they might "accidently" drop a TV or a box of glassware! The most unbelievable part is it took the owner's wife 2.5 weeks to finally get on the phone with me after multiple requests. (I spent a lot of time emailing and speaking to the move coordinator who was sympathetic but had no power to do anything). That woman was unbelievable - rude, unprofessional, uncurteous and basically told me to "pound sand" and that there is nothing she will do to reduce my bill. I tried to expalin to her how even an estimate can't be over by 20% and I was willing to meet her halfway - i.e., forkout ~$500 but not ~$1000. In the end, she stood her ground and I decided to make this episode public so that other people will be aware of their sleazy selling tricks. read more

I wish I could give zero stars . Do yourself a favor and stay away from these people . They are very dishonest people and their moving "skills" are sub standard . They shattered a mirror in my curio and pretended they didn't understand how it happened but I overheard them talking in the truck and one guy was saying the bedpost broke it . They did say they would take it and have the mirror replaced and it would take a week. After two weeks of waiting they said there was a problem with the new piece of mirror as it was being installed and it would be more time . After almost 4 weeks it was delivered . The glass looked ok at first but after closer inspection there was a horizontal crack in the mirror of about two-three inches . The delivery guy was pulling out of the driveway and we called him and text him to have him come back to look at the crack - no response , totally ignored us . My husband even tried to flag him down . I immediately emailed the company and told them and guess what ? They said we signed for it and it's our problem! Pretty clear that the problem they had while installing the new glass was this crack and they delivered it anyway . Now that's a great way to run a business ! They will not stand behind their mistakes so buyer beware ! If they break things you WILL be the loser . read more

You know the painting "The Scream" by Edvard Munch...that was the look on my face as the guys Fallon sent moved a piece of new, custom furniture off of their truck and into my home. I don't have the time or the inclination to go into the details about this horror show. I feel bad for the workers because the day was hot, they delivered at the end of the day and they are probably paid nothing.
