DO NOT USE!!! If you do, be sure you have your quote in writing and ask about every charge as it WILL change (more $$$ of course). Get in writing any kind of "discounts" they offer. Also, ask about all 'extra' charges such as their fuel charge and take note of their travel time. My pressboard cheap furniture was wrapped with blankets, but my antique pieces left alone. Needless to say, they arrived damaged. Took them months and many phone calls to get damaged furniture back after it was so-called repaired by them. Would NOT recommend. read more

we just moved from canterbury, ct., to contoocook, new hampshire, and the fallon guys were great! gave us a good estimate -- that, after the move, was lowered by about $400 -- and they were with us every step of the way. boxes were provided, the truck showed up on time for pick up, and they packed everything that we had not -- artwork, tv's, etc. they also showed up on time in new hampshire two days later and within four hours had the entire truck unpacked, the major furniture items unwrapped, the beds rebuilt, and the house ready to go. oh. and it snowed during delivery. they put a rug on the wood floor and used the cardboard from the boxes to all over the house to walk on. it couldn't have been better. rich and kris read more

I used Fallon Moving & Storage to move from Conn to VA. I found their pricing fair and their estimate was right on the money. With such a long haul I was certainly expecting some casualties but everything arrived just as it was when they picked it up. Their dispatcher worked with me to have everything delivered on the day that I was available. Had an overstock.com delivery through them and they let it site in their warehouse for days before they called to schedule a delivery which was a week out. I told them it had to be delivered before 4pm since its a construction site and the contractor goes home, they told me it was going to be later in the afternoon and the next delivery opening wasn't for another week out. I should've just canceled the stupid tile order and picked it up at Home Depot after this big dragged out ordeal. Their drivers finally showed up after 7pm and someone had to drive to the site to meet them. Never again and I'm complaining to overtock too read more

Horrible experience. Move scheduled for 9am, they showed up at 2:30pm. Because of their delay they sent 6 guys, I was quoted for 4. Only 3 of them actually did any work. I hired this company for a move from New Haven to Shelton on Aug 16th, not only they cheated me on the price, but there are also severe furniture damages. I have submitted the complaint to their management via Michelle Harris right after the move, but never heard any words after So, if you want to get your leather couch torn, antique table corner scratched off, and deal with the bait and switch sales practice, this might be the choice for you. Call other movers to save your self from the (more than) headaches! Here is the details of the complaint that I submitted to the company, multiple times, but I never heard anything from the company. On Aug 6, 2013, Sale Representative Mark Cavallari came to my apartment and provided a written estimate for my move from New Haven, CT, to Shelton, CT. While inspecting what needs to be moved, I asked for the cost for the move. He told me and my fiancé that this move would be a quick local move. The cost for such move would be based on the total labour time. The labour time would start from packing to the completion at the new place such as after setting up the furnitures. He also said that since this is a small move, it should not exceed a full working day. In his written estimate, Mark Cavallari quoted a total of 9 hour for my move. However, on Aug 16th, when I explained the labour time to one of the moving team (consists of Jeff, Jason, and Jerold), they told me that Mark Cavallari was completely wrong about the labour time. The labour hours would include the traveling time from the company to my old address and the returning traveling time from my new apartment back to their company. I was totally surprised about this as this is not what Mark told me during the sales. If the traveling time is counted as the labour time, Mark should have made it clear to me upfront rather than gave me misleading information in order to win the sales, as I also received quote from a local moving company without the need of traveling long distance. If Mark told that the traveling time would be part of the labour time up front, I would hire the other company that is local rather than a long distance company that is about 1 hour and 15 minutes driving distance each way. I called Mark during the move and asked him to remove the travel time from the total labour time as it was not disclosed to me prior to the move, but he refused. At the completion of the moving, I have specifically noted on the bill of landing that I am willing to pay the 9 hour labour time, but not the traveling time, about 2.5 hours, due to the fact that Mark Cavallari misled me by not disclosing this information to me in order to win the business. As a matter of fact, they do not have my authorization to charge me the 11 hours at all. But they went ahead anyway. Just for your information, the total labour time for the move starts at 8:45am when the team show up at my apartment and lasts till they left my new place at 5:45 pm, not including the lunch hour they took. AVOID WASTING YOU TIME WITH THIS COMPANY. A rep from this company went to an address in South Windsor CT at my request and submitted a written and signed estimate to me to move some large pieces of furniture from that site to a home on Cape Cod. Over the next three weeks I called and Emailed this rep attempting to schedule the moving date. The rep would never get on the phone but her co-workers strung me along with a litany of excuses about scheduling the date - she was working on it, she would get back to me. Finally, I called back today and asked the person who answered the phone to be straight with me. This person (perhaps the only honest person at the company?) admitted to me that they did not want to do the move for the price quoted because it was their "peak" season and no one wanted to drive from CT to Cape Cod. Mind you, I had offered to take delivery on any day of the week that would involve the least traffic and I drive back and forth to Boston all the time so I know the traffic mid-week is not that bad. Within an hour of being told that, the original rep suddenly resurfaced and I got an offer from her to arrange the move for DOUBLE THE ORIGINAL QUOTED ESTIMATE. These people are dishonest, underhanded and just altogether a sleazy bunch. If you are seriously interested in arranging a move AND working with people you can TRUST then DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH FALLON MOVING AND STORAGE. Couldn't have been worse! I've moved many times (relocated for business) and Fallon was by far the worst. Ruined several pieces of furniture and without our knowledge fraudulently put on the moving sheets that they picked it up damaged (complete lie). Only giving 1 star because I can't give 0. Worst moving experience of my life. Horrible and defensive customer service from my assigned representative Jessi - she never apologized for the multiple inconveniences I experienced as a result of clerical errors on their side, she instead was very defensive and tried to explain to me why they were delaying my delivery (again and again and again). Pack-out team also stole a brand new pair of designer sunglasses from my "no pack" area and damaged multiple items in my move due to their negligent packing skills. I kept the original box for my 6qt kitchenaid mixer (a relatively common kitchen item), and they broke the glass bowl by failing to include ANY paper or the original styrofoam in the box (but don't worry, the styrofoam was wrapped in paper in a separate box...) They also failed to provide me an inventory listing at pack-out (despite my asking), so I did not notice that my nice laundry hamper was not inventoried and, of course, didn't show up at delivery. Would never EVER deal with them again and would never recommend them to my worst enemy. Submitted a review online, but they only show 5-star reviews (which their employees probably write!) read more

Bait and switch. Told me one thing on the phone, took my $100 and then when the estimator came he quoted way more, told me I would need 4 guys and a bigger truck. I used another local company who did it for $600 less than Fallon estimated, costing me $1800 instead of the $2400 Fallon quoted in the end. read more

I would also have to agree with the other bad review...I would also give them a zero stars if I could. I have to start this off by saying...STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM FALLON MOVING & STORAGE, ACE WORLDWIDE, and ATLAS VAN LINE. Fallon along with Atlas Van Lines are the worst company to work with... They do not want to do anything except steal from customer and damage all the goods they are being contracted to move. In December I sold my home. I asked my realtor for the name of a mover. He stated that another client just used your company so I hired Fallon Moving of Windsor, CT who represents Atlas. My son wanted me to use another company, however, I told him I had already agreed to use Atlas. Your representative Skip Akerlind was a good salesman (a smooth operator), however, your company did not live up to what was sold me. They told me my furniture would be shrink wrapped and covered in blankets. That never happened! This was only the beginning of my nightmare and moving disaster. I set the date for my move for 12/21/13. First of all, I had them pack some of my belonging on 12/20/13 and on 12/21/13 the ACE truck arrived-----the truck had other loads on the truck and did not have enough room on the truck for my furniture----My closing date for my house was scheduled for 12/23/13---I asked them to get another truck and told them I must be moved on this date. They did nothing to help me get this accomplished. My closing was 12/23/13 and I was flying out that day. I refused to sign the contract as it was null and void for breach of contract. Your company did not deliver what was agreed upon. Can you imagine how upset I was!!!!! I was to be moved on 12/21/13 and the cleanup of my house was going to be on 12/22/13 and I would be ready for my closing on 12/23/13. This did not happen. They refused to help me. They wouldn't do anything because 12/22/13 was a Sunday and they didn't work on Sunday's. Fallon Moving could not even be reached....I couldn't get any help from anyone....I even called Mr. Akerlind at home, but to no avail. They instead showed up the morning of my closing (it was raining), the buyers also showed up and refused to close. Today it was Fallon's truck that arrived. They did not shrink wrap my furniture nor did they even cover it. (remember it was raining and muddy). During the course of the time they were there I found them stealing items from my donation boxes (items to be given to local charities) instead of doing their job of moving. Little did I know they would be stealing many of my own personal items as well. They did not leave my house until after 4 PM----I had a flight to reach at 6PM---My closing couldn't take place and I had to pay people to clean my house, clean my carpets, have my garbage removed and my donations delivered to the local charities. This was not my only nightmare....The morning of the move my son had found that his I-Pad was stolen and my furniture was being delivered to my destination in (2) trips...(1) by ACE and the other one I don't know who. One arrived on December 31, 2013 and the other one on January 21, 2014. For each delivery my son and I met the trucks on arrival and checked each piece of furniture and delivered/or not delivered items. All of my furniture was Ethan Allen furniture (very good furniture). Well when it arrived all of the furniture was either ruined or stolen....My furniture was real wood and not press board and should never have been delivered in the condition that it appeared. (My home was a show place for other realtors). This is not the end of my story......Due to my pain and suffering I was incapacitated for over (2) months...Since this happened, I have disputed the charges on my American Express card and your company apparently was lied to by Fallon as they gave you phony or doctored up documents regarding the dates and whiting out where I refused to sign with my statement for breach of contract. This company need to put out of business for the complete lack of professionalism, and negligence while moving. Ray Fallon should also learn how to talk to consumers. I have never been so disappointed in the professionalism of a delivery business. I was given a 2 hour window on a Thursday in which to expect my delivery (5-7pm). At the end of the 2 hours, I received a call from the driver stating they were 'running late and they would be about an hour to an hour and half.' Slightly annoyed because I had just pushed off dinner for my children from our normal 5:30 dinner time but figured I'd get dinner made at this time. At 9pm, I received yet another call from the driver, stating yet again they were behind 'schedule' and wanted to know if I still wanted me delivery. At first I said no, in the interest of my sleeping children and requested that my delivery be made first thing the following morning. He then told me that I would have to call the company the following day (Friday July 3rd) and set up another delivery time, earliest looking to be Monday.They finally arrived at just about 9:30. They were quick and gracious. I actually mentioned to my husband that I felt bad writing such a negative review. However, the gentlemen which were nice to work with mentioned being loaded heavy and loaded late. So whomever carries the fault; driver or company....my delivery was made in a 4.5 hour window. My two star rating goes out to the drivers for their graciousness...but overall, disappointed in the company. read more

Were hired by Sears to deliver a treadmill and after 2 attempts, including truck arriving to deliver the treadmill that was left at the dock, I still have not received it! I ordered a home gym off Amazon and Fallon Moving and Storage were in charge of delivery. First off I ordered the equipment March 3rd and the delivery date was for March 11-16 and I didn't get it until March 20th but that's besides the point. March 17th, when I didn't receive my package I called the company that I bought the gym from and they said that the moving company should have contacted me for a delivery date because it needed my signature. They never did. So I contacted them and set up the date for Thursday March 19th. They said I'd receive a call Wednesday to set up my two hour window. I never did. So when I called Thursday morning the woman told me my delivery was set up for that morning, yet I never got a call. So I asked her to reschedule, and that wasn't a problem. So I doubled checked to see if they had the right phone number for me; they didn't. The number she read to me was one I've never heard of before in my life. So she said the drop off was canceled and she'd let the delivery truck driver know. Later that day I received a call that the delivery truck was at my house ready to delivery. He said to me that they forgot to tell him. So I immediately called back and I was told there was a miscommunication and that I was all set for delivery Thursday. At this point I'd been on the phone with them a total of four times when it should have been once. I take the day off from work to be there for this delivery. The delivery men show up Friday to drop off my gym. They explain to me that it's a "curb-side drop off" so therefore they couldn't bring it in my house. Mind you the box is 227 lbs and it's snowing. I've waited almost 3 weeks for this, have gone through hell trying to set up a delivery date and now the jerks won't bring in the box unless I "work a deal" with them. Mind you I'm about 5'3" 125 lbs and they want to leave the 227 lb. box outside down 4 steps in the snow. So I gave them the cash I had to bring the stupid box up 4 steps so I didn't have to leave it in the snow. Great service said no one ever. The company is unorganized, customer service is lacking and the delivery men were scum bags. I hope to never run into this company again. read more
