Good service, but it should be when I paid over $1,000 for two crowns after insurance that is provided by Delta Dental.

Which the MANAGER was who I spoke with, and she guaranteed me that the visit would be free & that they wouldn't do x-rays since i had literally just been x-rayed at my primary dds. The hygienist not only took repeat x-rays, but I now just got a collections letter for a $65 exam fee I never paid. I brought up the x-rays during the consultation and she immediately comp'd them. But now I get to dispute the exam charge with an attorney's office because they sent it to collections. When I left my consultation appointment, they had told me to my face there was NO CHARGE for the visit. I'd give them 0 stars if I could.

Dr. William Schultz was there watching the game.He left the game to bring my son to his dental practice. This was on a Saturday evening around 9-10 pm.He, not only, was able to save his tooth, but found a surgeon to come stitch up his lip, and then had a mouth guard made for him, so he could continue to play the next day.Everything was finished around 1am.I can't say enough good things about this man. What great character, work ethic, and just a good human being! He was such a blessing to my son and our family! Thanks, again!

WATCH YOUR BILLS AND BEWARE…read more When scheduling, beware of them purposefully scheduling you before your insurance allows for another appointment so they will make more money, and you will be paying out of pocket. If you manage to schedule within your insurance window, you will receive texts to move your appointment up because they magically had an opening (not in your insurance window, they're just trying to get you to come in sooner, because more $$). This has happened to me and several friends. Every other dental office has software to avoid this happening. It's unfortunate GPD doesn't have the correct software to properly take care of their patients. They will also bill you for work "to be done" because they assume you're going to do it and bill ahead. If the many issues with the front office staff from other patients wasn't already a warning enough, and the PLETHORA of billing issues below, hopefully this will be.

Worst dentist I've ever had. When numbing me I felt like the needle was pushed further than needed…read more I've had braces and been numbed before with different doctors all over Sioux Falls & it NEVER felt like this before. It seemed like the doctors and assistants were more concerned with their conversations than being gentle. Offered the TV just to talk over it... Also, when I came in for a cleaning the assistant kept scraping my gums very hard...again I've never had that during past cleanings so it felt unnecessary and done on purpose to cause pain. I mistakenly referred my mom to come here and they missed a diagnosis of a gum disease she had which eventually lead to tooth loss. Overall very unprofessional and shouldn't be open at all in my opinion. I've since transferred to 10th street dental and they're amazing !! From the sweet assistants always asking if everything's going fine to the doctor being informative and giving great advice !

My first issue was with the constant conversations the assistants and dentists were having while working on me. I understand some here and there but it was the entire experience. Nothing related to dentistry or my care. I needed fillings so had to be numbed. It was very quick and painful. I had never felt so much pain before like this previously with other doctors. It seemed very aggressive and little to no care about how I felt or made me more comfortable. During those times I was having my mouth rinsed and the assistant was almost drowning me. I choked a few times and they did pause to let me catch my breath but it didn't change. I even had some pieces left when it was over that I could feel from the fillings. It made me feel awful. I left with multiple cuts on the inside of my cheeks that lasted for days. I wanted to cry but I just wanted to get it over with so I just put up with it and tried my best not to choke before they were done. There was no full attention on me it seemed and when there was it wasn't caring. There were always women around hanging out and gossiping about their lives. I heard more about their lives than I did on the reality show on TV. I was scared already of dentists before and this made it even worse. I found a new dentist at a different location. The treatment is way kinder and empathetic to me. The numbing was even done slowly and carefully so as not to cause me any pain. It made a huge difference to me and, unfortunately, I didn't experience that with Dakota Dental.
