Evidently Falls Rd. Carryout is under new management. I just ordered from them for the first time in a while. I don't mean this to be mean, but they need to hire someone to take orders that doesn't have a strong accent. I had to keep asking the person to repeat himself and it was still difficult to understand. I had a difficult time placing my order, and then to compound things, I didn't have a new menu. I requested one, but didn't get it. If I cant order with less complications I may not be ordering here as often. read more

Service sucks! Slower than molasses. I just wanted two slices of cheese pizza. A guy came up, got confused when I asked about toppings for the pizza so I just went with cheese. He wasn't signed on to the register so he couldn't actually take my money. The kitchen had three people in it but no one came to the register. They're preparing food, walking back & forth... with ZERO acknowledgement. The guy comes back up and I ask if my pizza was put in yet bc no one has come to ring me up and it's been over ten minutes. His face contorted like 'ohhh shoot. I forgot. Lemme do that right now'. What he said was, ' yeah' ... Oh, one more thing - NO ONE is here, customer-wise. He gets one of the people in the kitchen that have staring at me the entire time and I get rung up. You know what... this is boring. The pizza tasted like the same pizza I used to get in elementary & JHS (that frozen Elio's mess). Simply not a good experience. Sorry to one of the dissenters. The Chesapeake club is the best thing ever invented. I started ordering from here when I worked at a near by hospital and I can honestly say I fell in love. I ordered delivery via GrubHub, because I thought that was the only way to get delivery. There was a snafu through GrubHub, they had my address wrong, and I didn't notice. When I called them to check on my order, they were so friendly and helpful. Turns out they don't have a website yet, so they have their menu listed through the app. I re-ordered my meal directly with them, it was delivered promptly, and was delicious! i have been ordering from Falls Road Carry Out for years and the food was always consistent, could always depend on them for a classic Baltimore style sub. Now under new ownership, I attempted to place an order online twice. the first time I did not receive an acknowledgement email and they said they never got the order. So...giving them the benefit of the doubt....I ordered again, got the acknowledgement email for a 5:30 pick up, at 5:30 I went to pick up and they, again, could not find the order ...until I said I had an email confirmation. They "found" the order, but had not even started making it, I cancelled the order and they refused to give a credit even though they had not even started making it! They offered 50% off next order, why would I order from them again?!?!?! So disappointing that this business thinks nothing of taking money and not providing a product. read more

A carry out sandwich joint on the edge of Hampden with pretensions for comfort foodies like me. I've been looking for a place in the nabe for a decent carryout burger and I think I've found it at the Falls Rd Carry Out. I had the lunch special consisting of a large burger on a terrific bun; fries; can of soda and dessert for $6.95! Cheap and good. Seafood specials include soft shell crab sandwiches (freak out your non-Baltimore friends and gross them out by eating a sandwich with crab legs sticking out.) and a salmon salad. Subs, sandwiches, wraps, soup and hot plates that range from a hot turkey sandwich to traditional Italian fare. Never tried the salad but judging from the fresh lettuce and tomato on the burger, you could do much worse. Pizza is just OK but better than from a Domino's across the street. These guys are not trying to be anything other than a good place to get some carry out food and they succeed for the most part. A real bang for your buck hole in the wall place that's clean and well lit. Snoballs in the Summer. Check 'em out. read more

Placed a carryout order for 4 wings and fries. My order was incorrect called back in to have my order fixed. Front counter staff was very rude watched them argue with each other while customers were in the store. staff does not wear gloves while handling food. young girl touched food then wiped her hands on her clothes and began to ring a customer up and handle money. you are charged an additional fee when you pay with your card which they don't inform you prior to purchase. The people are nice but seemed stressed trying to understand the tech that runs their shop. So you may find yourself standing there for a minute while they try to process another order. We ordered 2 flounder platters at $12.99 each. They came with a side salad and two sides of your choice. The sides to be honest were good and the portions seemed unusually generous until we got to the fish, 1 breaded filet. Which was mediocre at best (picture Gorton's frozen filets). Which then explained the portion size of the sides. Great if you like sides, not so much if you like fish. read more

The food is amazing, however the customer service when dealing with an issue is poor. I placed an order today and did not receive the correct item, and I was told that I can have a new sandwich sent to me but I would need to pay for it but they would waive the delivery charge.The manager claimed that the lady ordered what I asked for when that was not the case. The manager Diane was very rude to me and not customer oriented at all. I later called to ask for the name of the owner to place a formal complaint and she was very nasty to me. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone until they realize "the customer is always right" and improve their customer service. read more

This is the first time I have ordered from Falls Road and probably the last time. I ordered at 11:10am and here it is 12:53pm and still my food is not here. I was told it would be an hour for delivery. I called for several minutes and got a busy signal and when I finally got thru, the lady said that they are waiting for a driver to return back to the store and it should be about another half hour. This place has been around awhile. The food is above average and so are the prices. I know that they use real steak for their subs. No Steak-Ums here. Their fries are good as well. For the neighborhood, I think the prices are a little high. You're looking at close to 11 bucks for a sub and fries. That's comparable to Five Guys or Gino's and this place could compete with them if it were a chain. The bad side is that they have NO place to sit down and eat. That's why it's called Falls Rd. Best Italian cold cut I've had in a very long time. Delivery was quick and friendly. The staff even called us back (we placed our order online) to make sure they got the order correct as we asked for extra hots and the staff wanted to make sure we wanted "everything" on the sub as well as the extra hots. (Most places wouldn't bother to ask, and frankly other restaurant delivery in the area has been abysmal in terms of their service.) But I digress- the hot wings here were awesome as well! The sauce was not your traditional buffalo sauce (in my opinion) but rather a smoky, slightly sweet sauce with a great pepper after-burn. Delicious! Happy I finally tried this place!! read more

The best subs in west Baltimore but the wait sometimes even if you call can be to long. They would get 5 stars if the sides matched the subs. The fries are below standard and I don't do chips with subs. The half & half should not even be sold. If they change that nobody would come close. read more
