I've had to lean on this company a lot - so I have a lot to say, ha! Here's my review from 9 months back: I had a nightmare installation done by bad contractors causing a brand new unit to breakdown with every error in the book. Diego did an excellent job diagnosing the machine in 100+ degree weather. He was meticulous and went through every possible issue. Unfortunately the damage done caused the job to drag out but Diego continued working. I had a previous technician out from another company and even though I paid for their diagnostic service it's clear that I should've gone with Integrity Comfort Systems to begin with. I highly recommend this company. Everything is inspected and documented and then very clearly explained to me so I could understand the journey we're now on. No matter how many times I asked a question Diego took the time to break it down in ways I could understand (since I am not knowledgable in HVAC anything). No Mansplaining.. simply removing jargon and explaining step by step so anyone could follow. Seriously...Great job. My review from 5 months ago: I had ANOTHER HVAC issue but in my main house (HVAC is likely more than 20 years old) and Troy was sent out to take a look at what turned out to be a very dangerous situation. He was meticulous in documenting and clearly explained everything that was needed and why each thing was important for a SAFE operating system. I tend to only have catastrophic issues with units that either came with the house and are veeery old or something crazy like working with terrible contractors with bad installation and bad intentions causing MAJOR critical failures.... Nonetheless, Integrity worked with me providing a detailed estimate prioritizing what I could handle first. Review from the past 2 months: In addtion to those two experiences I had the pleasure of leaning on Chris for support in documenting the repair done on that AC unit damaged by the previous contractors. Chris was calm, cool, collected and incredibly thoughtful. He really worked with me to make sure we could clearly explain why certain repairs were absolutely necessary. Without Chris I would've been fully taken advantage of by those scam contractors. He didn't have to make himself that available to me but he truly went out of his way to make sure his customer was taken care of. It's very rare these days to find honest thoughtful people. When companies can get away with mistreating and scamming customers, greed seems to lead the way. Not with Integrity Comfort Systems - I mean, come on, Integrity is in the company name, and for good reason!!! And I must not forget to mention Julie. Julie handled all of my calls to the company to schedule repairs and help connect me with Chris to sort out the issues I had prior to working with them. There had been some stressful moments for me and she was always so helpful in guiding me to the right person. She always answered the phone, was always polite and easy to talk to, was loyal to the best interest of the client and I truly felt like she cared. Again RARE these days. Thank you so much, Julie! Chris, Julie and all their techs step up and really make sure the right thing is being done. I feel deeply indebted to all of them and they helped restore my faith in humanity. As a single woman on one moderate income dealing with the nightmares that come with homeownership and failing machines I really really needed this. I can't ever thank them enough and I could not recommend them more! All this from an HVAC company??? Yeah, I know... in 2026 when the world seems to be falling apart... these guys will make sure to take care of you. 5 stars isn't enough.

We made a claim with our home warranty company and they sent out Moe. Moe let us know that we were low on refrigerant and there is a leak somewhere. Instead of refilling the refrigerant and fixing the leak, I decided to replace it entirely including our furnace. Of course the leak wasn't covered by our warranty. It seems nothing is. He told us it was 2 weeks out but he was able to fit us within a week. They came out one day and did the swap. A team of 3 people including Moe were here from around 8 till 4. Then he came out the following Monday and replaced our filters. It was a pleasure working with Moe. I definitely recommend him and 1st Hvac.

We were very pleased with the work done by Family Air Conditioning. After moving into our home, we had noticed quite a significant temperature differential between the upstairs and the downstairs. We contacted Family Air Conditioning and Lee visited our home and completed an inspection of our existing set-up. He was honest and thorough, telling us that our existing system was sound and working well. He didn't invent a list of items that could be done in order to make his company money; he professionally evaluated our system and gave us an easy-to-understand report with a few thoughtful suggestions that he believed might help. Out of this, we came to the conclusion that replacing the ducts in the attic for the second floor air conditioning efficiency would be a very good idea and could potentially make a significant impact on the temperature differential. After shopping around and receiving several quotes, we decided once again to go with Family Air Conditioning for the duct replacement. We spoke with Jerry on the phone during this process and he was courteous, professional, and informative. He even lowered the quote by several hundred dollars after we had found a lower quote from another company. Lee's impressive first visit and Jerry's friendly, can-do attitude on the phone were big factors in our decision to use Family Air Conditioning for the duct replacement. Lee himself was in charge of the duct replacement; it was completed quickly and right on schedule. We waited a bit of time to submit this review as we wanted to test out the new system with some real heat. With temperatures in the 90s last weekend, we were able to do so. I am happy to report that the temperature differential between the first and second floors has been cut from 12-15 degrees before the duct replacement to around 4-6 degrees after the duct replacement. We also added insulation in the attic, so both the duct replacement and the insulation replacement (all part of Lee's initial recommendation to lower the differential) have done wonders. Before the duct replacement and new insulation, the high heat of the attic was simply pouring right into the upstairs bedrooms and the old inefficient ducting was having no impact. Essentially, if it was hot enough in the attic, no matter what the thermostat was set to downstairs, the upstairs would not cool, it would equal the temperature outside or even be 5-10 degrees warmer given the high heat of the attic. Now, the upstairs is comfortable and within a temperature range that is civilized and livable. We have our upstairs back thanks to Family Air Conditioning! We highly recommend them. read more

After deciding to replace our 30 year old Lennox heating and air conditioning unit, my wife and I decided against getting another Lennox because of the poor service we received from Costco's Lennox representatives when we recently tried to replace all our air ducts in hopes that that would improve the air flow in our house. Costco's crew gave an estimate which was so ridiculously high that when we said we would check with some other people first, they miraculously came up with a much lower figure. We were surprised about the quick reduction since we had assumed Costco's choice for HVAC installers would have already had the lowest prices around. Unfortunately after having all the ducts installed, it did little if anything to help with our air conditioning problem upstairs. As a result, we decided not to make the same mistake. We had the owner of Family Air, Steve, come out to our house and he gave a very thorough and professional presentation which was absent any high pressure tactics and he quoted us a very fair price. Steve went on to explain why his Carrier Air Conditioning and Heating Units would do everything we needed to make our home comfortable whether it's in the heat of the summer or cold of the winter. Steve subsequently set up a date to have his crew of four people come out to install their equipment. Curtis was the supervisor and I can't tell you how impressed I was with him and his entire crew and I had full confidence that they would get the job done correctly. Curtis and his guys adjusted the air ducts in the attic and to my delight they successfully resolved the lack of air going into the upstairs bedrooms. I was impressed that Steve came over to our house during the install to monitor things even though I felt his guys were doing great by themselves. We had a inspector from the City come out after all the work was done and he had nothing but great things to say about Family Air. USE THIS COMPANY! I'M NOT KIDDING! With one visit they saved us almost $3000.00. Our heater broke on Christmas Eve. We got somebody to come out the day after Christmas to have a look. I read reviews and called a company whose name consists of two letters followed by "Electric Heating and Air". They were prompt, polite and shocked us with their estimate. A circuit board had gone out and they wanted $1500 - $1900 depending on the warranty we wanted. They also told us everything was hooked up wrong. Evidently we had a 2-stage heater hooked up as a 1-stage. They would rewire, fix that and replace our brand new thermostat (which was also wrong, weird) for another $900 - $1300 depending on the warranty we wanted. Not only that but they told us our heater was filthy and needed a "chemical cleaning" for another $600.00. This whole time I was nodding, believing everything he told me when I noticed my wife behind him frantically shaking her head "No"! I said no thanks that I was surprised at the price and would get another estimate. We called Family Air Conditioning who were recommended by a sister and sister-in-law. Just as prompt, just as polite. Lee showed up and found that yes the circuit board was bad. $412 to replace. A bad limit switch, $160. That's it! I asked about the "2-stage heater problem". He told us we had a 1-stage heater and everything was hooked up fine. I asked about the cleaning and he said our system was clean. I asked about the $600 chemical clean and he laughed. I told him the previous guy had said that they had to disassemble and put it back together and that's where a lot of the money was. He again laughed and said, "It's two screws and you don't need it". I had my HVAC system replaced by Family Air earlier this month. I had gotten a few quotes and Gerry not only had the best price, but I like the fact that it is a local company and all the reviews on both Yelp and Annie's List were outstanding. I was going from a zoned system to one that was not zoned. One concern I had going in was the master bedroom, which has a large west-facing picture window and is hard to keep cool. Gerry assured me the new system would solve the issue. Curtis and his crew were on time the morning of the installation and were done by 3:00 p.m. The new system was so much better than the old one, but we still could not get the master bedroom temperature down in our comfort zone. It was 4-5 degrees warmer than the rest of the house. It just wasn't getting enough airflow. It is a large room with a pitched ceiling (the roof) and had only one register. I called Gerry to let him know and he told me he would send one of his crew to redo some of the duct work and add another register to increase airflow. Lee came over with Justin and they did a great job. The airflow in the room has doubled seemingly without taking away airflow from anywhere else. All of Curtis' crew from the install as well as Lee and Justin are very personable and are true professionals. Our heating/cooling unit after many years gave out. We had many concerns and questions as we had not ever replaced this unit and it was a half of a century old. My husband called the owner Jerry. Jerry worked around our working schedule and took time to come out on a Sunday afternoon, to explain what/how he and his highly trained team would propose the job of replacing the unit. We knew by Jerry's professionalism, clarity and sincerity that we wanted him over others we spoke to. As well, the estimate was stellar. Jerry was able to schedule us right away and his team showed up with bells on and right on time. During the painless two day process, Jerry came by to check on his team and see how we were doing: impressive. From the wife's point of view (me), these gentlemen that did the work in both stages, were extremely careful and protected the floors and our home with such diligence. Bottom line first -- Family Air has a team that were competent, clean, and met or exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend Family Air to others. Their detailed, documented quote was fair and backed by a warranty. Backstory -- My objective was to finally, finally get my upstairs cool in the summer. My 1-year-old 4-ton pumped out the cold, but the hot air had no place to go, so is stayed hot. I studied my needs, researched vendors, requested bids from three but received only two. Family Air sent techs to my condo two times, before I hired them. We discussed various potential solutions, but they convinced me that moving my furnace into the attic, installing new, larger ductwork in a more efficient design, and adding returns upstairs would solve the problem. This approach was a more costly option, but consistent with what I had learned in my research. Then, Jerry, the owner, came with his lead tech, Curtis, to confirm all the details, mostly for his team's benefit, but for my own as well. Jerry answered all of my questions. The guys started and finished on the days and at the hours promised. The Simi Valley city inspector was complimentary of the work done, clearly having seen other Family Air jobs, and signed off in less than 15 minutes. All of that said, Jerry, Curtis, Eric, Justin, Lee (and another tech whose name I don't recall) were great to work with. So, I guess you can say I like Family Air. read more

Over 14 years ago, before YELP, we had Family Air put in new heating and AC into the house we had bought in Newbury Park. We have used them for any repairs and all maintenance since. We love them!! Our installation happened before social media and reviewing online was a thing. So I never thought about doing an online review until today. Last night in the middle of our current heatwave our AC went down. The next day was supposed to be over 100 and we were heading into a holiday weekend. I did some research and figured out what the problem most likely was. I called Family Air's machine and left a message. Three actually. I didn't have much hope they would be able to help me on such short notice with a heat wave in full effect. The next morning at 7:30 Jerry called. He did say there was no way today but possibly tomorrow. However, he said I seemed to be correct on the problem (a dead start capacitor), and if I was willing to pick up the part he would have waiting for me (at his cost!) he would talk me through it. By 12 noon my AC was back up. Some places I'm sure would of tried to profit on my misfortune in a heatwave and tell me they could come at night for an extra price. We've used Family Air in the past with great success and satisfaction. We recently needed to upgrade the AC/heating system in a condo occupied by our son and called Jerry. His proposal was very specific and all-inclusive (and also about $1,500 under the estimate provided by another AC vendor). Jerry's workers were extremely professional, arriving on time both days. They finished on schedule and every bit of their workmanship was as good as it could get. We also requested that they diagnose the unusually loud noises we were hearing from the AC unit in our home. Within 24 hours they determined that the four-year-old fan in our furnace was slowly going bad, obtained a replacement fan from the manufacturer (under warranty), and installed the new unit. That makes three experiences with Family Air for us. There never was any upcharges or extra cost for things or conditions discovered during the job. Each time we were given an estimate and were only asked to pay the original price when the job was completed. (Point: In our job several years ago, we belatedly discovered that when our original compressor stopped working, an electrical surge scorched the fuse box. Family Air installed a new fuse box and conduit - things not contemplated or included in their estimate. Again, no upcharge - the extra stuff just done at their expense.) Today Friday 9/1/2017, and it is 105 degrees outside in Simi Valley and my AC is not working for last few days because of burnt wire. I called Family Air on Wednesday, they (Jerry) mentioned they are swamped with service calls of elderly people and they cannot come until next week. Jerry said he can refer me to others, but I was adamant I wanted to go only with Family Air because of good experiences I had with them in the past. Kept calling Jerry and he asked if I can send him a pic of AC with wire burnt. Looking at the pic I sent him, Jerry immediately said looks like a small fix, I probably can send someone in on Friday but not before that. Me and my kids had to sleep in 95 degrees for 2 nights but i know it is worth waiting for Family Air Technicians. As promised Jerry sent Curtis. Curtis was very professional, he fixed the burnt wire, and immediately my AC was on. He did some additional maintenance, added some coolant as it was low and advised me few tips for maintenance. It feels like in heaven with my AC on. I would not go anywhere else other than Family Air for my AC and heater needs. And I am leaving this review so that people find good companies for their needs. After receiving several quotes for a new HVAC system, Gerry at Family Air not only gave us the best price but conveyed an enormous amount of knowledge and strong desire to fit the system our family's needs. No high pressure selling. No fantastic promises. Just good ol' common sense approach. The crew if fantastic! They arrived on Tuesday morning, went right to work and by 3:00 pm on Wednesday, we had a wonderful brand new heater (in the attic!) and a new air conditioning system. None of them stood around wondering what to do next. No excess conversation..... just hard work and amazing teamwork. The project lead, Curtis, made sure we were pleased, answered all our questions, was extremely courteous and thorough. Can't recommend them highly enough! Three days later, Gerry followed up and we had a slight, minor issue. That day, two of the crew showed up to make slight adjustments to the baffles in the ductwork and our little issue was fixed. When the inspector arrived to check out the job, after finding out that it was Family Air who did the work, said he really didn't need to check out the work (but he did anyway to comply with regulations). I highly recommend these folks because of the outstanding work they did and because the price was also the best I could find after getting quotes from 5 other companies. Family Air was literally 1 to 3 thousand dollars less than all of the others and did not try to sell me on stuff I did not need. As a matter of fact one company's rep, as soon as I told him I was going to get a quote from Family Air, said that he knew I would go with Family Air because he couldn't compete with Family Air. These guys are just that good and have great pricing. Jerry was very professional and gave me both a quote over the phone and then one in person that matched the phone quote. Family Air just removed and replaced all of my AC/Heating ducting. They took out all of the old ducting in bags and were very careful about keeping things clean. They installed the newest materials and redesigned the ducting plan to provide even air flow throughout the house. My old ducting design left two rooms very warm and two rooms colder than needed. They did all of this in 7 hours and no mess as they cleaned up after themselves at the end. Family Air was recommended to me by my real estate agent. I ended up getting bids from two other local companies as well. While Family Air's bid was the lowest among the three bids for comparable HVAC equipment, the reason we chose them had more to do with their professionalism, responsiveness and overall positive feelings they gave me than on the bid price alone. To my surprise, the entire crew that came to my home were as professional, courteous and helpful as the estimator and owner of the business (Jerry). All around great crew! They answered all of my annoying questions, cleaned up after themselves, and did a remarkable installation job. Further, at no time did I ever question the decision to hire them, nor was I ever underwhelmed. They showed up on time on the date they promised, they did the work exactly as promised and at the quoted price. Simply put, if you're in need of an honest HVAC company, you need to call Family Air. You'll be hard-pressed to find a better price, but you certainly won't find a better, more professional servicer/installer/dealer. I would recommend them without hesitation or reservation. read more

We decided to replace our entire HVAC system and received several bids from many companies. I did a little research and found that the proper way to evaluate the right HVAC system for each home is based on a mathematical formula and not SF. Jerry was the only one who used this formula to find and quote the perfect system to us. Additionally, he never tried to up sell me once on anything, I asked for the whole system (all of the others did try to up sell me). We went with Family Air and are so happy that we did! The crew is fantastic, considerate, clean, answered all of my questions, and worked harder than any crew I have ever seen. They never stopped except for a brief lunch break. Our home was treated like theirs and within a small space to get out and in a furnace, coil, and tons of ducting, the guys never even got so much as a ding in my paint!! I wish all contractors were as great as Family Air. Lastly, their prices are better than most out there. We are very happy with every aspect of our job, and grateful for Family Air. This company runs the way you wish all companies were run! We cannot say enough good things about Family Air and their team. Prompt, helpful, reasonable, courteous, efficient, reliable, responsible. We would recommend their service without hesitation or reservation. We did not have AC previously. We ended up having our Carrier 4 ton system installed during some of the hottest days of the summer. They worked hard to get our system up and running as quickly as possible. All the administrative stuff with the city and Edison was handled without a hitch. Jerry, Curtis, Lee, Hector and Eric were all extremely wonderful to work with and we greatly appreciate all their hard work and efforts. This company takes pride in their service and is a throwback to a time when companies truly cared about their customers. You can be confident your system will installed properly and if there are any problems or follow-up issues, these guys will be there to resolve them! Family Air replaced both my downstairs (2011) and upstairs (2016) AC/Heater systems. Jerry G. handled the assessment and his crew did a great job with the installation. Both jobs were handled with a great deal of professionalism. From the initial assessment through completion of the job, all work was performed per specifications and within the agreed timeline and all my questions answered. In addition, their fee was lower than the quotes I received from (2) large retailers. Count me as a very satisfied customer. I would recommend Family Air to anyone interested in a contractor who provides great service at a great price. Updated August 12, 2017. Jerry and his team came though for me again. When my downstairs AC system stopped blowing cold air a few weeks ago, Jerry sent his guys to check it out. After a couple of visits without success, he conferred with Carrier and replaced the fan and capacitor under warranty and only charged me a fair labor cost. The AC is back to working great. I rarely provide input on yelp but I'm making an exception. If I could rate this company higher than a five, I would. The professionalism, courtesy, attention to detail and genuine care about the work they perform is superb. I obtained a total of four quotes and scope of work. After doing my own homework and narrowing down the product/manufacturer it was then about selecting the right company to provide the best experience and trust in them that I was choosing the right HVAC system for my specific needs. Based on my needs, Jerry came up with a solution that probably goes above and beyond the norm. Curtis and the rest of the team did the rest. While I'm one that performs my own research, I must share you don't really need to do that. They are top notch and know what they're doing. I was referred to family air by a friend. When I met Jerry the owner I knew right away this was a great honest company. His bid was amazing, literally about half the cost of the other bids I received. And he only uses Carrier equipment which is the best there is. Guys showed up bright and early the day of installation. All four guys were the nicest guys, super polite and accommodating. They covered all the floors with hall runner and were very careful with our house. Cleaned up their mess after the day's work like they were never there. Not only were they great guys but they did an incredibly clean job on the whole installation process. They were all true professionals in their trade. This was one of the last stages of our entire house remodel and by far the best experience I have ever had with a company. I can't say enough about this company. It's rare these days to come across a business with the character and integrity us old-schoolers grew up with. Well, Family Air is one of them. Talk about honest, hard-working and dedicated. That's what you'll find when dealing with them. I asked Jerry, the owner, to bid on a residential job of mine and, after meeting him, I could tell right away I was dealing with a man of values. As such, I made an old-school hand-shake deal with him on the spot and he promptly followed through in writing to make it legal. I have no doubt I would have followed-through to the end based solely on that hand-shake, that's how much I trust him. As far as the work. . . exceptional. He has a top-notch crew of highly trained experts that came into my home and took care of us as if we were family. I guess that's where their name comes from. And talk about competitive pricing. Jerry was amazing from our first discussion about my HVAC new system to his guys coming out to provide a technical assessment to Jerry providing a very fair quote to earn my business. I went with Family Air for a few reasons - - Jerry was very honest and straight forward in his approach, his technicians are very knowledgeable and honest and lastly, he provided a very fair quote that addressed all my needs. I will forever recommend Jerry/Family Air to friends and family. On the day of installation, his 2 guys (forgot their names) were extremely professional and courteous. Excellent pricing, fast service, quality installation! Our downstairs unit went out in July due to corrosion on the condenser (thanks, previous owners' dogs...). System was 20 years old and on R-22. Jerry Sr. came out and quoted a very reasonable replacement as well as a few options for what I might want to consider, and more importantly, discussed what I didn't need to do (no unnecessary upselling). We ended up replacing the condenser and coil with a new R-410 Carrier unit with a full warranty vs. just the condenser with an R-407 unit (can't get R-22 installed anymore). I also had been wanting to redo some ducting, adding a couple supplies and returns, and he quoted me a fair price for that work as well. Installation time was quick and done in a day once started. I will absolutely use them when my upstairs unit (also 20 years old) calls it quits. I highly recommend Jerry and his team at Family Air! read more
