After my air conditioning went out on a newer home, I decided to look online and I found Scott Mumford's information. They charge 125$ for a service fee which I had no issues with. They arrived and found the issue in 5 mins my Capacitor went out. They explained that the service fee doesn't go towards the part which was $395. So 520$ for a part that if you look up cost $28, and it took 5 mins to put it on. I called around and all told me that it was much cheaper to install. Needless to say I paid this company 125$ for 10 mins of service and called another company that came out and installed and delivered the part for 150$. I will be addressing items that I think are most important to most consumers, including myself: 1) Pricing 2) Quality 3) Cleanliness at job site 4) Timeliness For the scope of work entailing a mobile home that I'm remodeling, their quote was very reasonable. All that needed to be done was, replace and reroute ducts to new locations of registers. Install a new Nest ( which they had in hand on day of) Here's where the difference is in comparison to bigger local outfits. They'll come in cheaper, but there's a reason for that. I later discovered that the guys did not bother to close off old registers. They don't haul away old ducts; they just leave it there. They'll do as instructed on the surface, but not proactive in truly proving HVAC service. They also do not do repairs or replacement of the underbelly insulation. Again, this was for a mobile home so this HVAC Comp may not have been the right fit for this project. I texted and emailed Scott. He text-responded once as he was "out of town". No reply since. Overall, I didn't get a reasonable price for the work performed. I wasted money and overpaid for the Nest. Cleanliness at job site They left the empty boxes in the crawl space (pet peeve) And I guess it's not their job or part of their service model to haul away prior non functioning ducts. Again, if I were redoing an entire SFR, this would not be the comp I would hire. Because if one cannot do the little things well, the big things will be sub par. Air conditioning stopped working and they were able to come out with a few hours and repair it. Great service.

20+ year old air conditioning unit started blowing hot air on Sunday afternoon. Contacted Scott around 5 pm and explained my problem. Scott texted that he would try and get a technician (Jaime) out the next day. At about 7:45am Monday morning got a call from a technician that he was in the area and could come by to see the issue. After some tests and changing out some parts the unit is up and running cold air in around an hour. Instead of my house being 88 degrees it's cool and comfortable. Thanks to Jaime and Mumford Heating and air I feel comfortable in recommending and continuing to use in the future.
