This family owned business will have you sitting comfy at home in no time. We've been in need of an upgrade to our home especially with the hot summer days around the corner. Art came in to assess our needs, at first we had an idea of split units. After discussing with him our concerns and thoughts he made suggestions on what he thought would work best. We went with central air we only had window units. They were finished in two days, running ducts, electrical and all vents. Art and his right hand man came in once we agreed to move forward with the project and began working in our really tight attic. You have to be part snake to move up there. Most others companies told me they would have to have exposed electrical pipes running along side the wall. Art didn't do that but fished the electrical thru a really tight spot. So, I buy this house, which has a roof mounted swamp cooler with ducts bringing cool air into the kitchen, and after about a month I went up in the attic to install a ceiling light. I dearly wish I had pictures of the old ducts...it was something you'd see on the Beverly Hillbillies...only not as cool. The ducts were all made out of wood, took up nearly the whole attic, and leaked cool air all over the place. I've attached a picture of the pile of wood that was formerly ductwork. I called Family Air Systems, and Art came out and gave an estimate for new ducts. He just finished the job. Wow! The ductwork he installed is solid. He took great care to put together a tight, professional system, going so far as to disassemble the swamp cooler to ensure a top notch installation that will last. He also did it ALL in one day, including cutting out the old 'duct' in a very cramped attic. Amazing! It's hard to convey just how much work this entailed, but lesser AC guys would take at least two days, if not more, to get this done. I now have clean, tight ducts, fancy new dampers, and shiny registers quietly blowing fresh, cool air. Bonus Points: The house is cleaner than when they arrived. Unlike the guy who stopped by right before him, the situation was like night and day. The first guy had very limited ideas and suggestions. By contrast, Art assessed the house and its various limitations and was creative in his suggestions. He was also very professional and friendly and arrived on time and did not rush anything. Wished we had found Art sooner. Our original HVAC people didn't do a very good job and did not stand behind their work. Sad to see so many people lack integrity. New system, new install and been having problems. They made their money and now disappeared. Thank goodness we found Art. You can tell he really enjoys and cares about his trade. Our whole system needs to be rewired / re-setup and we didn't have the funds to do that right away so he found a temporary solution for us to get by. John and his crew are awesome to work with! We had an entire new central heat and air system installed this past February in our 1948 home that only had an original floor mounted gravity furnace. After experiencing a day in July 2018 where temperatures soared to 115 degrees, we decided we weren't enduring another summer without A/C. We had a few estimates from other companies and I have to say John's was by far not only the most competitive but also included a better quality high efficiency 2-stage condenser and whole house air filter (which has been a blessing this year with allergies being at an all time high!). John's crew was so polite and understanding (two days of the install I was home with a sick toddler and they were so accommodating to work around us). Total install lasted 4 days - one of the fastest projects we have ever had completed on our home. We were able to test out the heater immediately when the sudden cold snap hit in late February/early March. Now that it's July we've been enjoying the luxury of having central air conditioning that keeps the whole house comfortable for the first time ever. I was a little nervous to check our first electricity bill after using the A/C quite a bit in June, but to my surprise the bill did not go up much at all (so glad for an efficient system and a somewhat small house!) This is by far the best investment we've made in our home to date. I am so happy that our family doesn't have to worry about if we're going to sleep well in the summer.
