I really wanted to leave a good review for a small business but unfortunately I kinda feel ripped off. They came out same day right away to replace my blower motor for a fair price. My AC started working again right away. A few days later it stopped working again. i opened the furnace to find my filter soaking wet. something is now leaking that wasn't leaking before so now not only is my blower not working again but it looks like they caused a new problem Would be ok if they were willing to come out and recheck it to see what went wrong but they are completely ignoring my calls and texts. My elderly parents heater stoped working just before the new year. Unfortunately, before we knew about Neighborly Heating & Cooling, we wasted nearly $200.00 for the two big HVAC companies in Redlands just to look at our heater when it quit running. Moments after arriving, the technicians from both of these outfits started high-pressure pitches to sell us a new HVAC unit, trying to frighten us by saying our heat exchanger had a hole in it and we were going to DIE! One was quite an actor--nearly tearful as he said that if I was his own father he'd implore me to get out of the house. The other was equally dramatic--he shut off the gas, red tagged the heater, and said he had to walk away from it unless we wanted to buy a complete new system. Our neighbor, an experienced realtor who knows all the best local contractors, recommended Otis from Neighborly Heating & Cooling. Otis examined our heater and told us there was no hole in the heat exchanger. I went on the roof with him, and while the heater was running, he showed me how he knew it was okay and explained everything. He came in the house with a carbon monoxide detector while the heater was running and spent more than half an hour showing us that there was no carbon monoxide in any room of the house. He did not charge anything for this service. He diagnosed the problem as a failed gas valve and circuit board, and replaced those at a reasonable price. After doing some research, I found out that big HVAC repair companies using scare tactics to pressure customers into buying new HVAC units is the biggest scam in the HVAC servicing industry.
