[[HIGHLIGHT]]When I got home, I pulled the previous 2 exams and the prescription looked wildly off so I scanned the three prescriptions and emailed them, asking to have the doctor review them since I did not want to order lenses that may not be correct. A week went by and no reply....[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The previous prescription the doctor wrote but the staff couldn't give it to me when I was leaving because the doctor had left for the day - the prescription has an electronic signature so I don't get that at all![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I just don't get the incompetence of this office and their staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is the second bad experience but there won't be a third. read more

I need a yearly exam for a medication I take and was referred to Family Focus Eye Care. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There were no long waits to get in, and the ladies at the front were very nice and professional.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Isiack is very personable and friendly. I look forward to seeing him at each appointment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Dr. Sprouse is the star. It helps to have confidence in the person who is looking out for your eye health, which I do. This last year has been a little strange with the changes to my eyesight with cataracts, but with guidance and new eyewear, it seems to be clearer and brighter. Next step is cataract surgery! Went to Family Focus Eye Care the next day to have it checked out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After taking some pictures, a quick exam and a short wait for Dr. Tailor, he came in and plucked that thing out and I didn't even feel it. Very impressed with his skills. I was told this was gonna be painful by a co worker that had the same thing done by someone at a different eye doctor. I was so shocked at how quick and easy Dr. Taylor made this procedure. I would definitely recommend this guy and now I have a great place to go for eye care . I love this place. I've finally found an eye doctor in Oregon that knows what they are doing. My eyes are super sensitive to base curve on glasses and no other Dr. here knew what I was talking about. I have never written a review about a company before, but I feel this situation deserves one. I went to Family Focus Eye Care because I have struggled for the last two years trying to find glasses that fit me and were usable at my workstation. I had found a pair I was considering, one of the employees was assisting me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I shared my concerns with her, " I have had a pair similar to these, size and shape in the past and the reading part of the glasses were too low and didn't work at my station" This employee responded with " I think these glasses fit your face good. I do not think the reading part will be too low. If it is, we can adjust them. If that doesn't work, we can always return them for a refund"[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I purchased the glasses. $325.00. I picked up my glasses. Used them for a week and had the same situation as the old ones we talked about. The lenses are too big for my face, and I was not able to read at my workstation. I took the glasses in and asked for a refund. The employee that assisted me with the purchase was the one sitting at the desk. She says, " We do not do returns" I stated " We had a conversation about this before I purchased the glasses. You told me that if they didn't work that I could return them" She states, " I'm sorry, I MUST HAVE BEEN CONFUSED ON WHAT TYPE OF GLASSES THEY WERE, we cannot return them" So now I am stuck with a pair of glasses that do not work. I am out $325. and they have used my insurance benefits, so I am not able to get another pair. Family Focus Eye Care is a great place. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Making an appointment was very easy. My eyes are a bit difficult to deal with. My previous optometrist experiences left me feeling like they just wanted my money. Price gouging, wrong prescriptions, and dismissive attitudes were what I was used to. Dr. Taylor was exactly the opposite. He listened to me. He offered several solutions and discussed the pros and cons of each one. When it came time to pay the bill, it was reasonable. The support after my visit was fantastic as well. After my experience, my wife switched to Family Focus too. These are great folks. I couldn't be happier with them. read more

Great Dr and Staff I definitely recommend going here for your eye care needs. They have a great selection of glasses and I actually enjoy going in to get my eyes checked. You don't have to get your eyes dilated because they can test the health of your eyes by taking a photo and it doesn't break the wallet. read more

I just LOVE Dr.Taylor and staff...after my daughter had been misdiagnosed by a previous eye exam we came to dr.t for a second opinion...and WOW he found the issue right away. He was very sweet and great with the kids. Barbra helped my daughter pick her glasses and made sure they fit just right...and everytime my daughter would break her glasses she would help fix them or help replacement cost any way she could. An Amazing Experience. Being new to the area I relied on my daughter's recommendation when my eyeglasses suddenly broke and called Dr. Taylor's office begging for help. They got me in that morning and were so warm and welcoming that I felt immediately comfortable and happy to be there. The staff is not only friendly but knowledgeable and professional. They know what they are doing and it shows. Right down to and including getting the best use of my insurance benefits. Dr. Taylor listens ... actually LISTENS to what you tell him and is just as sweet and nice as can be with just a wee touch of mischief mixed in to boot. Had this old gal laughing the whole time. The staff works well together and the atmosphere in the office is one of good camaraderie, like a close knit family. Took my son for his first ever eye appointment last week, and we couldn't have been more thrilled with the entire visit! The office is very nice and clean, with plenty of toys for kids to play with while waiting. The entire staff was wonderful, and Dr. Taylor was fantastic! My son was very nervous and didn't want to get his eyes dilated, but Dr. Taylor was so good with him and put the eye drops in so quickly that my son barely had time to get upset. He was so friendly and personable, and was exactly the type of doctor I was hoping for- great with kids and adults. And my son was so excited to pick out a prize from the treasure chest at the end of our visit! They also accepted our insurance easily- which had been too confusing for a different eye clinic I had previously contacted to seem to figure out. What a fantastic experience my husband and I had today! All the 5 star reviews are totally legit. My husband and I are both 48 and have not needed glasses until the last 1-2 years. We moved to Salem 10 months ago and finally sought out an eye Doc to address our dwindling eyesight. Dr. Taylor and his entire team are professional, kind, funny, easy going, and make your experience so nice, you just want to come back to have the opportunity to interact with them. They also took my insurance and made the payment process very easy. They offer a very nice array of frame options and were extremely helpful in guiding us while picking out the best frame for our faces. You'd be crazy to not come here. Great experience! My wait time was a little long, but, as soon as he got in the room, Dr Taylor apologized and explained the delay. He even compensated me for my time by offering to upgrade a service at no cost. Being a new patient there I had no idea what to expect, but I was very happy with the experience. My daughter and I both had appointments today and, even though my eyes are still dilated, I wanted to review Family Focus Eye Care right away. It was a fantastic experience. Dr. Taylor and the staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The doctor was great at explaining terminology and treatment in a way we could understand. But most of all, I really appreciated all the little things they did to make my family and myself feel comfortable. My 5 year old daughter, who was terrified of "going to the eye place", was so at ease by the time we left, that she was asking when we could go back. Absolutely fantastic service from the first phone call to check out! I called first thing in the morning after noticing blurred vision in one eye and Barbara was able to squeeze me in after Dr. Taylor's first appointment. Josh checked me in, he was so nice and welcoming, very efficient. Dr. Taylor's assistant went through some tests with me and she was very professional and compassionate ( I am so sorry I don't know your name!). It turns out I had a contact in my eye for three days, so my tests were giving some really scary numbers, but it was all fine. I was very embarrassed, and still am, but Dr. Taylor was very reassuring and stated that reminded me that he is there to solve problems for his patients. Seriously such a nice group of people. They were professional, compassionate, humorous, I felt like they had been my eye team for years and this was my first visit. Highly recommend! read more
