Excellent service. Annalee was very friendly and super efficient. She went out of her way to make sure we had what we needed. "Delightful" is what my wife suggested about the her service. There are still some people who literally eat her once per day because it's just a great setup for older and younger people because of the friendly atmosphere and options for tasty food. I refrained from returning after a visit in February when I brought my mother in law for breakfast and after we got our drinks nobody came back to take our food order. Gave it another try last night and this time the service wasn't too bad but the food was not good at all. Dry chicken and noodles with an off-putting taste that made me sick to my stomach. The waitress apologized and asked if we wanted something else but at that point I had lost my appetite. Paid full price for inedible food and mediocre service. Will not be back. read more

This restaurant was welcoming in its location and in the greetings from the staff, after that everything went downhill. I wasn't sure who my server was since three different women had checked on me when I ordered my drinks and food... not beingchecked on after receiving the food, for 20 mins as the older brunette proclaimed was the reason my mom's chicken was too tough to even cut. It was overly done on both sides being such a thin slice of chicken. This waitress was extremely rude, she came over and said that they would get us a SMALL piece of chicken. All I can do is say thank you. She made it seem like it was our fault for letting them know. As far as to tell my mom bless you in front of the possible owner, after being so rude to us. From my experience my server was rude no way to put it just rude she didn't even check on us and threw me and my grandpas plate on the table. Me and him ordered steak and eggs and my plate was fine but my grandpas food was completely over cooked and not the way he asked for it. And it would have gotten more stars if the server wasn't so rude. She got mad cuz we didn't tip. She doesn't deserve a tip if she threw are food on the table and if she actually cared to go and check on us if we needed more things. read more

What a selection their menu offers. My husband ordered a French dip sandwich and I ordered Gyro on a pita. Both came out hot and delicious. This is such an easy restaurant to get to from the highway if you're traveling on I 70. Despite its convenience, it still feels like a down home restaurant. We had an interesting experience here where we felt truly cared for. We stopped here for lunch on our car trip from Colorado to Ohio. And this is where we realized we were having car problems. The waitress was so nice and could not have been more helpful when she heard of our issue. Even as busy as she was, she stopped to ask local people where we should go to get that taken care of. Not only did we get a great lunch. But we're traveling for more safely now. We are very grateful. A very sweet small town experience for us! read more

if you are looking for a good place to eat, don't go here. My family and I went to The family table restaurant for lunch today. When we got our food my husband opened his Monte Cristo sandwich and it looked awful. The ham, or rather it was lunch meat, was burnt and the whole sandwich was unappealing. My son got a fried chicken sandwich that was also burnt so he sent it back. They brought him another one, that looked about the same, he tried to eat it but it was too hard and dry. When the manager came out to ask us questions about the food she argued at us that the ham was exactly the way it was supposed to be, (it looked like it had been cooked on a dirty grill, not accusing, just saying.) She argued about how we were wrong and everything was fine but she did agree to take some off. When I got the bill it was $38! $38 for one sandwich, two bowls of soup and onion rings, french fries and a half eaten sandwich. We agreed to pay for two meals but we didn't expect to be ripped off like we were. Talk about padding a bill. They charged a dollar for a piece of lettuce, a dollar for a piece of tomato, and 99 cents for half a teaspoon of mayonnaise! It was the worst $40 I've ever spent. If there was less than one star, that's what they would have gotten today. read more

Thank you Lisa but I'm not exactly looking for "the perfect pizza" but since you replied to me on this. I was just looking for a nice lunch and didn't get one. I thought the pizza was below average and wasn't worth the money you charge for a single topping that does not even come close to coving all the pieces of the pie. The topping was only on about half of the pieces, not to mention it wasn't hot. It was lukewarm at best. The crust was burnt so I am not sure how the pie was cold when the crust was burnt. We are always super leery about 'homes style' restaurants, but this was a nice find! The staff were super nice and responsive. Although the menu was big, everything was done very well and needed very little seasoning. We would certainly come back! I had the all meat omelet. Huge portions! read more

The waitress, blond haired lady, was phenomenal. Above and beyond and outgoing. Seated promptly and food came out hot and fresh. It seemed there was only one other woman working the floor but the service was excellent. Can't say enough about how impressed I was with the service. She deserves a hearty raise. For a Greek restaurant the spaghetti and meat sauce wasn't too bad...Pic doesn't show it but there was much more meat sauce under the pasta...Served with a basic salad and garlic bread...The ranch dressing tastes homemade...includes ice cream or pudding for dessert....Service was friendly and quick, and the restaurant was clean....I left full...Would return, and would get the spaghetti again....Only bad thing no red pepper flakes ( maybe sneak your own in, lol) read more

Conveniently located walking distance to 2 truck stops, portions are ridiculously gigantic, down home cooking type of food. Scary to eat here during a pandemic, though. Most of the customers are anti maskers, probably due to the proximity to the truck stops. Yeah I know, it's a restaurant. Yet masks are non-existent while people are waiting for their food or chatting with their pals. A sign closing my booth for social distancing was removed in order to seat me there, yikes. The place is packed. Hopefully my decision to eat breakfast instead of going to sleep on my truck doesn't turn out to be life altering. read more

It was specially economical for the quality of food and Chrissy our server was personable and particularly sweet. When asked what was good, she stated "everything"...and I believe it. We had the broccoli stuffed chicken over rice and a breakfast plate. Both were extremely satisfying. Make sure to try the homemade desserts. Excellent friendly good food small family restaurant. Wish they post up a bigger sign so that traffic on I-70 can see them. They are conveniently located near the Best Western and gas station right off the I-70. One of only 3 places to eat a sit down dinner. I personally chose this over the other restaurants because I want to support local mom/pop restaurants and also because I know the food will be one of a kind. I ordered the liver and onions and asked for gravy on top, it comes with soup or salad and a dessert. Very filling for a meal like this, large portion that comes with potatoes of your style on the side. I really couldn't finish everything but it was delicious! Upon walking in we were seated immediately. We were given our drink orders and a menu before our waitress came. I ordered a veggie omelette stating I do not like the eggs brown I will not eat them. My husband ordered a taco omelette with crispy hash browns. I ordered American fried potatoes not extra crispy. We heard our waitress place our order-- telling them I won't eat the omelette if it's brown. And she wrote it on the slip. When I got my order needless to say both of our omelette were brown and my potatoes were burn. My husband said his was alright, I sent it back and ordered eggs over medium. The waitress as very accommodating. The next table over they ordered an omelette and it looked great. Family Table is a nice little diner-style family restaurant just off the Brazil I-70 exit. It's an older building that's been home to a number of different restaurants over the years, but don't let that scare you. The current owner has truly made a good name for this spot...they offer a varied menu with something to suit everyone. They also offer breakfast all day (which is always a plus in my book), and daily specials are listed on a dry erase board as you walk in. I've been here a number of times with family and we've never had a bad meal here. I usually opt for the veggie omelet with American potatoes and wheat toast. It's tasty and satisfying, plus the portion size is large. I almost always end up taking half of my meal home. My family generally gravitates toward the entree style meals, and most come with your choice of a side dish plus soup or salad and a dish of pudding/ice cream for dessert. Great value for the price! If you like diner style home cooking, Family Table is a great local choice. Note: I apologize for the lack of photos, but will update when I return again. DO NOT GET THE TURKEY OR BEEF MANHATTAN!! Absolutely disgusting food, tasted like it was straight out of the microwave. The gravy on the turkey Manhattan was neon yellow and the turkey tasted artificial. My brother got a burger and the inside was bright pink, it was straight up raw, even though it was asked to be well done. The service was okay, the waitress rarely checked up on us and had to basically beg her to get a refill. I understand being busy and having a long night, but its reasonable to check on the table your serving at least a couple times. Do not recommend. read more

The menu here is standard grill. They serve a little of everything. Burgers, deep-fried, salads,etc... They have a limited Italian menu and have added Greek. The food is good, but is usually a little bland for my taste. On the plus side, the staff is always friendly. The service is usually good. It really depends on which waitress you get and how busy they are. I've gotten a few lukewarm meals, but it was a busy dinner hour both times. Breakfast is the best time to be here. They have a standard special that gets you eggs, meat, and a bread for $4.50. My only breakfast complaint would be that the coffee is a little weak. They have weekly specials including an all you can eat fish night. The food never blows me away, but it is always pretty good and the prices a reasonable. read more
