This is a new place in Carteret which is always needed because Carteret doesn't have so many food places. Happy I found it and tried it. There are SO many options and the food tastes very authentic and flavorful. Breakdown of the food as there were some pros and cons. The Kati roll is good, I wish it was on a roti because it looks like it made it on naan but I feel like kati rolls should be on thinner bread. The thali is good! Good portion for the bits and pieces of different foods, I had chicken tikka Masala and that was flavorful. It comes with naan or roti too I didn't eat the roti cause it already has rice Butter chicken empanada!!! Must try it was soo good and it's pretty huge! I was kind of nervous for $4.50 an empanada But it's worth it, the dough taste like its homemade, it's slightly thick but overall delicious :) The Hakka noodles/ the chef messed up and didn't add chicken cause that's what we were charged for and asked for. It was kind of bland I'm assuming it would've been more flavorful with chicken, it can use soy sauce or some other added sauce but still enjoyed it with all the veggies and everything! The shakanji is like an Indian lemonade, it has chaat Masala at the bottom I believe and it has a subtle taste but very good! Reminds me of how my mom makes it. The lamb keema quesadilla was very tasty as well. It had lettuce on the side I wish it came with at least a sauce to dip and maybe tomatoes it could use some sort of acid since it's just cheese and meat but it's very flavorful meat. Overall I'm excited to try more things since their menu is pretty expansive!! Needs a little tweaking but happy to support local businesses and a twist on any indo fusion. read more

It's Christmas Day, didn't properly grocery shop beforehand, and ended up searching for dinner. Naturally most places were closed but FD was open. The place is not fair from where I live so surprised me that I have not tried it yet. Ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala with is a creamy tomato based dish with chicken and spices. When I picked the food up, the interior to the restaurant was well kept, clean, and had indoor seating. The meal itself was very good. A ton of flavor. It had a little kick to it from the spices but nothing overpowering. It contained chucks of juicy chicken and chopped peppers. I've actually ordered from here again already since the first time on Christmas Day. read more

This relatively new place showed up on my search for Indian food one day when I was looking for something to get delivered to my place and I'm glad that I gave this place a try. For starters, the menu is very different and unlike any traditional Indian restaurant. They menu has the traditional Indian entrees and appetizers along with some fusion items such as Naan Tacos, Burritos and Empanada to name a few. For my first ever order from this place I stuck to the traditional known items and I must say I quite liked what I got. I had ordered Tandoori Masala Chicken Wings, Gobi Manchurian, Chilli Chicken and Chicken Tikka Kati Roll. Chilli Chicken was super spicy and would advice people put special comments to make it milder if you can't handle the spice. Gobi Manchurian was good and the wings were decent. The Kati Roll left me wanting more. The stuffing tasted decent but the roll itself was big so everything came popping out after the first bite. Overall, a decent place for a first try. I would definitely try this place again to taste some more off the menu. read more

This place was good at first until I had a couple of issues with the food and how they treated me after spending hundreds of dollars there. I just ordered off Uber eats from this establishment. They didn't honor the buy one get on free offer and only gave me one pizza instead of two. I called them to find out what happened and they were disrespectful and hung the phone up on me twice just for asking why I didn't get my buy one get one free offer. The merchant went on saying that I had to buy 2 to get one for free which was a complete lie because it says buy one get one free not buy two get one free. The management in my opinion have no professionalism whats so ever and don't take any accountability for what they do. It's disgusting. They should be ashamed. And they'll only lose business treating customers this way. Now I will tell everyone I know my experience because it's complete nonsense. Especially from someone that lives in the neighborhood. If they are so unhappy and can't figure it out they shouldn't be in business. I hope you get my message and it resonates through your establishment. If you're looking for Indian fusion, this is the place to check out! You know an Indian restaurant's caliber from their butter chicken sauce--and theirs is PHENOMENAL. So basically anything you get with butter chicken will have you licking your fingers (and nope that's not gross but called for with Indian food :). We sampled various different items and loved these: Lamb Keema Empanada, Chicken Tikka Kati Roll, Lamb Kati Roll, Chicken Tikka Quesadilla. I was less keen on the Amritsari fish tacos (mostly because i'm a salmon kinda woman) but my friend found those to be one of the best items we tried--so the jury is still out there. Despite being their opening day, service was fast and thorough; we were provided hot and extra butter chicken sauce (yay!) on the side. We also indulged in the various sweets they offer and their gulab jamun with cream and tutti frutti cupcakes were delicious. The cupcake's icing was not super sweet but tasted just like the ice cream. Highly recommend. Overall, you can tell that this family business strives to provide the best product. I was referred here by my co worker who knew I like to try different types of food. This place has a great variety, a little bit of something for everyone. You can get breakfast and dinner. I had the goat curry with garlic Naan which is delicious. I will def have some again. The meat is fall off the bone. The mixed platter was great, especially if your not sure about the different kinds of spices. The employees are super nice and the restaurant is spotless. The owner comes by and meets his customers.
