It does make a difference when someone openly asks you what they can help you with. The Manager (I do not recall her name) was very amazing in assisting the needs of me and my friend, their coworker (I believe Kaiana) but she was ultimately helpful in all aspects! The other coworker was a male with the name starting with a P he was super helpful as well. This was 04/22/22 at 6:30PM and we were there until 7:18PM and they all were very nice and understanding even after they closed at 7:00PM. I didn't understand why not since they are essentially the same item with the same sku number. Terrible, terrible customer service. He said I would have to wait a few more days for the promo amount to fo back to my account, then come back to get the item. Like what? Why not just switch it out, it's the same item anyway with the same sku number. This was the worst customer experience I have ever had. Their clothes, shoes, and accessories are definitely made with quality materials. They have the biggest selection of women's plus-size clothing here in Anchorage, but still not a wide enough selection for me. I always found it weird that Torrids bra sizes aren't very plus at all. DDD is the largest cup size they carry. Although they do carry band sizes up to 50. Torrid is nice, when on rare occasion, I run out of time to place an online order and need to run to the mall to find something really fast.

I've worked in retail so I get that asking is part of your job, but as soon as a customer says "no", stop. Just stop. Fast forward a few years and I go to look for a bra again. Nordstrom is my store of choice for bra shopping since they have the widest selection and best quality, but of course the price tag reflects that. Apparently, despite being a plus-size store, the largest cup size they carry is DDD. I asked one if the employees if maybe they had my size since I couldn't find it. And you know what she does instead of helping me find the bra like she should have done? She looks at me in disbelief and says that's no way that's my bra size. REALLY? Why would I lie about my size when I'm shopping for clothing? Just to prove her wrong I had an employee do an amateur size measuring on me, which confirmed I was in fact the size I said I was. I felt vindicated after that and decided to leave without buying anything. So now the only reason I go to this Torrid is if I place an online order since you get free shipping if you have your order shipped to a store for pickup. Here's a tip Torrid: don't accuse your customers of lying about their size and just don't harass them in general. You should be lucky you've gotten any money from me at all after that BS.

Their workers welcomed us, gave us space, and were there for us once we needed them. Vans sells quality clothing, shoe wear, and accessories. Also skateboards. The entire back of the store is where there are shoes for the whole family. They even have a convenient "find your size" rubber mat for the kiddos. Lots of shoes to choose from and in the sizes we needed. Of course we'll be back.

Today I scored a pop funk snoopy chef for $10 and some Loungefly Minnie ears. Sign up for their rewards, you get rewards money for your birthday and randomly I guess? Today I had $5 rewards but didn't know! I think you get $5 after spending so much in a year. They also do boxlunch money which is when you spend a certain amount, you get boxlunch money which is $15 off when you spend $30 during a certain period of time. It's only a certain time you can earn it and then the date to redeem it usually lasts a good two weeks and is usually a few months in the future from when you bought it so you don't have to come the next week to spend it. If you buy three items, they will take money off of each item to make $15 rather than just one item even if it is over $30. Always check their clearance section, sometimes it's buy two get two free, today it was 70% off the clearance price tag. I scored some Loungefly Mickey and Minnie ears. They are normally like $50 I got them for $6! The snoopy funko pop was on special (they had a printed piece of paper stating that 5 certain ones were only $10.) but on the website is was on sale for 6.99. But their website doesn't ship to Alaska for free, you have to pay $25 flat rate no matter if you reach their $75 minimum which kind of sucks. Some items you can pick up for free at dimond center but very select few. Better of going to the store. Recently there's a weird constant rattling sound in the ceiling of the store, I hope they get that fixed sooner rather than later but it's been quite a while now. The sales people are pretty helpful. They will ask if you need any help and they watch the counter decently if you want to check out if they are busy doing something else and it's a slow time in the store. But overall you can find tons of Disney items, Harry Potter, Pokémon, all kinds of anime, Star Wars, hello kitty, and so much more. Clothes(they often have buy one get one 30% off) Loungefly backpacks, wallets, kitchen items, cook books, car accessories, baby clothes, pins, jewelry and so so much more!!
