I mostly come here to check out new shoe inventory, usually HOKA, Brooks, and OnClouds that they have at discounted prices. For clothing, they have a decent selection: Free People, Madewell, ASTR the label, ALLSAINTS, Naked Wardrobe, Rag & Bone, Good American, Frame jeans, Paige jeans, and Joe's to name a few. There was another customer in the store who was telling my friend and me that she buys from there a lot and the clothes are long-lasting which tells me that the stuff here is of good quality. They had some accessories as well such as jewelry. I had already spent a bit more than I had planned to at another store in the mall so I actually didn't end up buying anything here but it was very fun to look around and I did see a few tops that I liked. I would definitely like to come back here next time I'm in the mall and next time hit this place first!

However they really need to train their staff a little better, they had only 2 sales people on the registers that were dealing with difficult transactions when they clearly could and should have open the 3rd one. When it was finally my turn, I guess I had the Assistant manager helping me. Only because the other salesperson kept interrupting my transaction asking for help & she would stop to help her. I should have been a 3 minute transaction which ended being 10 minutes with all the interruptions. I am still a fan of the store just not of the salespeople

They are super clean, organized, and have fitting rooms. The staff usually has someone tell you the sales for the day and are ready to help you find any pants or tops, sizes and colors you may need. The shopping plaza this Madewell is located in gets very chaotic around the holidays, and parking, a normally already arduous task due to local drivers' sheer inaptitude, becomes even more of a struggle. Upon walking into this store, however, all the effort it took to get here became worth it. The interior is warm, well-kept, and welcoming. I found a pair of shoes that were already on sale for a great price. When I got to the checkout counter, I had the good fortune of interacting with a truly lovely saleswoman. Unfortunately, I can't recall her name. She greeted us with a genuinely warm smile, and was even nice enough to ask me if I was a student, which got me another 15% off the already discounted price! This level of customer service is what has brought me back to this location when I want something new from Madewell. Five stars.

In searching for someone who sold Tommy Hilfiger suits and could help, Milton's came up as one of the results. Taking a chance, I called the Chestnut Hill location and talked to Joe, who was filling in at the location. Let me tell you, for someone who is in full panic mode to talk to someone as knowledgeable, calm and willing to help was a God send. Joe took the time to listen to what I needed. He helped me with finding something that would work for the groomsmen and went above and beyond to make getting them shipped to me easy. I also spoke with Tim, who was friendly, knowledgeable and a tremendous help. Today, retailers of any size seem to be so focused on the amount of the sale to increase profit, they forget about what the customer actual needs. Milton's is not like that in my experience. They helped a guy from over 1100 miles away that is only going to spend $300 dollars like he was the most important customer. Thank you Joe and Tim, I appreciate more than you.

I am surprised by the low ratings for this J. Crew although many of the reviews are from years ago…read moreand they seem to have to do with poor customer service which was not my recent experience. Whenever I have stopped in, (which admittedly is not often), there is almost always someone who greets me fairly quickly and lets me know they are available to assist. On this latest visit I did have a question or two about a blazer I was looking at. The saleswoman was at the ready and was quite helpful. She let me know that even though the blazer was on sale already there was an additional 40% off. It was pricey to begin with but with both a sale price and the additional percentage off it became hard to resist...so I bought it. (I have been updating my seasonal blazer wardrobe over the past several months as I find blazers are often a great way to elevate an outfit and pull everything together.) I was also able to find a pretty gold belt. Alas, the belt was not on sale, and priced higher than I think it should have been but I think I will get a lot of use out of it so I purchased it. When I checked out the cashier was very helpful. She made sure to remind me that the blazer was now a "final sale" and I was in and out in no time flat. Pleasant and easy shopping.

For my shopping "tastes", this store is just too vast and overwhelming. It is a sea of merchandise. Well organized yes but just way too much stuff to take in. Despite all the "stuff" I didn't see bargains of any note...in fact...and this could just be me ...but I was astonished to see Nike women's sweatpants for $110.00. That seems like a lot of dough to lay out for sweatpants. I'd skip the name brand and the Nike logo and look for another deal. Better yet, don't wear sweatpants unless you're in the gym or running outside on a cold day as I am not sure who they are flattering on and I am so over seeing people running around everywhere in ill-fitting sloppy looking gym-wear. But for the gym-goers, and exercisers of all kinds, you will find all manner of clothing and equipment here...a fairly comprehensive seeming selection whatever your sport of choice might be. They also sell, t-shirts, specialized sports' shoes, lots of coolers and water bottles including the in my opinion ridiculous looking and now viral Stanley water bottles that everyone seems to be lugging around...tons of those! (I just read that in California there is a class action suit pending on these Stanley water bottles as the company has acknowledged the sealing material used for its vacuum insulation contains lead). I didn't see many staff throughout the store. The staff I did see seemed to be congregating up front so if I had had a question there would have been no one to ask without traipsing back up to the front where the registers are. And in a store as large as this, that's a pain. There are so many other places to get most of the things sold here but with better service and for me, with a more manageable store footprint and experience. If I'm not going to get a bargain, I'd rather spend my money at a smaller store with attentive service. Tom didn't find the neck gator he was looking for so we left without purchasing anything but for me, I can't imagine why I'd return.
