When we entered the store, we were greeted, which I appreciated. I then went to the hat bar, where only one employee, who I forgot his name but he had a blonde burst fade/mullet with a pencil thin mustache was assisting a family of four. There was no one else available to help customers waiting, so I spent quite a while digging through blank straw hats on my own trying to find one that met the requirements for my job. Once the employee finished helping the family, he came over and asked if I needed assistance. He was polite and patient while I explained exactly what I was looking for. However, instead of helping shape a blank hat, he repeatedly tried to sell me a low-cost store-brand hat that wasn't even close to what I needed professionally. When that didn't work, he asked another employee, Samuel, to help. Samuel asked what I was looking for, flipped through one stack of hats, and then walked away without offering any further assistance. At that point, I thanked them for their time and decided to shop elsewhere. Later that evening, around 7:00 p.m., my girlfriend and I returned so she could shop for T-shirts and help me pick out a few items she liked. We ended up spending over $100. While checking out around 8:00 p.m., my girlfriend overheard Samuel and the other employee with the blonde burst fade/mullet and the pencil thin mustache say, "Why are they back?" That comment was completely unprofessional and unnecessary. It wasn't just disrespectful to me--it made my girlfriend feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. No paying customer should have to overhear employees making comments about them. I understand Cavender's is a large retail chain and not a dedicated hat shop like Paris Hatters or Capital Hatters, but I still expected a higher level of professionalism and customer service. This experience was disappointing from start to finish. Between the lack of knowledgeable assistance, the pressure to buy something I didn't want, and the rude comment made behind our backs, I have no intention of returning to this location. If I could give this location zero stars, I absolutely would. I expected far better customer service and professionalism from a company with Cavender's reputation. Unfortunately, this experience fell far short of that standard, and I cannot recommend this store to anyone. If this causes yall any problems, I would be more than welcome to settle this with the two gentlemen that made the comment.

I wanted to switch bras. I had bought one online, with a slew of coupons, sales, and discounts, it ended up with me paying next to nothing for the items I bought. Not surprising the combination I used since over the course of a year I bought over three thousand dollars worth of merchandise and had racked up quite a few rewards. So I went to exchange a bra for a different size. They pulled up my receipt and told me that since I didn't have a packing slip,I had thrown the wrong one away, they would only give me the credit amount of what I paid for the bra. Never mind that it was a new bra, in a size the stores don't carry -44B- and it still had all the tags on it. I just wanted a difference size. But they fought with me over it and made me really reconsider shopping as much as I do with this brand. In fact by comparison To last year I've maybe spent 500$ vs the few thousand and I have no desire to strike it up again with Torrid solely based on what I experienced with that store. I understand policies. I understand if it was clearance. But it wasn't. Not in their computer. Not when I bought it. I just wanted it exchanged for a different size! Ironically when they finally did process it after threatening to go through customer service one of the girls working out it aside to buy later specifically because that size and style were online exclusives. The old store manager was sweet as well, just didn't have the best staff! I was so excited when this location opened, but was quickly disappointed in how poor the customer service was. I dealt with it for a few months, but after November I was done with this location. I turned to online or Grapevine. I could not get over how rude the staff was at this location. My favorite employee there... Can't believe I forgot her name. (Short colorful hair with piercings) she's awesome. There was another one, but she's no longer there. They were the only reason I returned as long as I did. I vowed to never return to this location but my friend was visiting and had never been to Torrid. I recently had a major surgery and wasn't up to riding all the way up Grapevine, but just had to take her to Torrid. I decided to put my issues aside and take her here. Boy was I surprised! From the minute we walked in until The minute we left, we had the BEST Experience. Rachel was there every step of the way and made sure we had everything we needed. My friend was very pleased and I'm glad her first experience wasn't tainted with the rude customer service I received in the past. Can't wait till my next visit:)

You can refer to something on CATO's website and they have a pretty good idea what you are referring. If they don't, they ARE honest and will quickly try to research and locate for you. 3 - Store is clean and organized. 4 - Dressing rooms are clean and previous clothes are quickly put back on racks and NOT left for upcoming customers to move to one side when they occupy a dressing room. 5 - This location is SUPER prompt with markdowns. Always seem to be the latest price even if handwritten. 6 - ALL retails stores don't WELCOME any returns. But there can be several reason why a return happens and if CATO upper management really is worth their weight at corporate, they SHOULD know this. However, Hickory Creek does not frown on the returns or make any comment "why don't you take this back to the store where you purchased." YES! I HAVE had this comment states to me at other local CATO stores. I've provided six reasons why shopping at Hickory Creek CATO is enjoyable.
