First we had a 45 minute wait to be seated, but I didn't deduct points for that. It was Sunday around 1 when we got there so it's to be understood. We were seated but then had to wait on someone to come and take our drink order. I don't mean like 2-3 minutes, I mean over 15 until we were even acknowledge that we were sitting there. Mean while we saw our waitress walk by us multiple times in fact she even took the table next to us drink order, brought them their drinks, the came back and took their order - all before acknowledging we were even sitting there. We had waited long enough that I had just started to ask to speak with someone if they could find out whose table it was. When the waitress did finally acknowledge us we were ready with our drink and food orders. I ordered their bowl, and other person did the same, I also ordered a Bloody Mary, and my counterpart got grits and side of bacon. Our waitress acted more like we were an inconvenience to her other plans for the day or maybe she feels this Job is beneath her. She brought out my water and the other persons tea. And that my friends was the last we saw of our waitress. I don't mean that we didn't see her skirting around us or anything. Just that she stopped coming to the table. Which I don't know why. The food was delicious, and I also loved the restaurant's location at Boardwalk Billy's. It's a great spot to enjoy breakfast or brunch. For drinks, I highly recommend the Rumosa and the Hawaiian Sunrise. Both were refreshing and complemented the meal perfectly. I ordered the Blah Blah Blah Omelet with sausage patties, mushrooms, and spinach, along with breakfast potatoes and a waffle topped with berries and whipped cream. I also tried the French toast with smoked sausage and scrambled eggs. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. When my nephew and I walked in, we waited about 10-15 minutes before anyone even greeted us, despite the restaurant not being busy. Once we were seated, I immediately felt rushed for no reason. I was never offered a kids menu for my nephew, and when I asked questions about the menu, the server acted like answering them was an inconvenience. After ordering, I asked for coffee, but overall there was very little hospitality or customer service. Even the manager, who brought out our drinks, never acknowledged us or said a word. No one came back to check on us or refill my coffee. Things got worse when our food was delivered to the wrong table first. The manager delivered it incorrectly, then the server came back, grabbed the plates from the other table, and brought them to us. By the time it reached our table, the food was cold, and honestly, I was uncomfortable eating food that had already been placed at another table. I later asked for extra syrup, and again the manager just dropped it on the table and walked away without saying anything. The entire experience lacked basic customer service, communication, and professionalism. I'm LATE on this review but, I just visited Famous Toastery for the first time today. I enjoyed my meal + mimosas on an impromptu Sunday brunch after church. Food here is nothing fancy - just straight comfort breakfast items and the classics: Eggs, toast, breakfast potatoes, sausage, bacon, grits etc. No frills or fluff - it'll be hot breakfast items hot off the pan and pretty much everything I tasted was good. They have breakfast cocktails like mimosas and bloody Mary's - both of which were good. I had the breakfast bowl and it was hot and tasty. I'll start by saying that perhaps our waitress was having a bad day. She was nice but very inattentive. We had a late breakfast and they forgot to bring my husband's potatoes. No big deal. We were seated in the sun room near a window. I really appreciated the intimate seating. Sometimes Host just get the vibe. We ordered hot tea to start. Famous Toastery offers Mighty Leaf tea brand. I love quality tea options. For breakfast my Fiancé ordered a "Build your own Omelette," with roasted veggies, mushrooms and Swiss cheese. For myself 3 egg whites, a cup of rolled oats and bacon. Decided to check out this new location on the boardwalk. We walked in and was greeted immediately. We sat on the patio which has a view of the water which was nice. Our server was Kailee and she took our orders. Food didn't take long to come out which was a plus. I ordered the breakfast combo with a side of turkey bacon.
