Absolutely one of my favorite breakfast spots and their mimosas omg are the best! Not to mention the honor military with one of the best discounts! Me and my husband come here at least once a week for a meal and I love their champagne without the juice but the juice is also so good! I usually order the blah blah omelet with avocado, Turkey bacon and cheese! They close due to Covid but I'm happy to see them opening back up even if it's just for carry out! I've missed you all so

This is a chain breakfast place located around the university area. There's plenty of shared parking in the shared parking lot. The view is very scenic if you get a chance to sit along the man-made lake, the music is definitely hip-hop and R&B inspired. The food was good. I asked for over medium eggs and got over hard. Nothing was recommended. Service was nice. The place was clean.

I'm really disappointed with my experience today at Famous Toastery in the University area. This is usually one of my favorite breakfast spots, especially the Belmont location, so this visit was frustrating from start to finish. When my nephew and I walked in, we waited about 10-15 minutes before anyone even greeted us, despite the restaurant not being busy. Once we were seated, I immediately felt rushed for no reason. I was never offered a kids menu for my nephew, and when I asked questions about the menu, the server acted like answering them was an inconvenience. After ordering, I asked for coffee, but overall there was very little hospitality or customer service. Even the manager, who brought out our drinks, never acknowledged us or said a word. No one came back to check on us or refill my coffee. Things got worse when our food was delivered to the wrong table first. The manager delivered it incorrectly, then the server came back, grabbed the plates from the other table, and brought them to us. By the time it reached our table, the food was cold, and honestly, I was uncomfortable eating food that had already been placed at another table. I later asked for extra syrup, and again the manager just dropped it on the table and walked away without saying anything. The entire experience lacked basic customer service, communication, and professionalism. I hate leaving bad reviews because I normally enjoy Famous Toastery, but this visit was unacceptable.

We came here for brunch on a chilly Sunday morning. Our party of six was seated quickly. Our orders were taken and the drinks came out. Some in our party had Bloody Mary's. The issues started when another of our party tasted the Bloody Mary and decided that he wanted one as well. We ordered the additional one before the food came out. We did not receive it until we were almost done eating. BUT!!! The food was delicious! I had the Famous Hash and my husband had the three egg breakfast. I think everyone enjoyed their food. If it had ended here, I would have left four stars. However, one of our party called us the next day to ask how much our bill was. Their card had been charged our amount AND their amount. I double checked and there was no charge on our credit card. The waitress ran the cards at the table, in front of us, so I'm really not sure how this happened. As opposed to fighting with the credit card company or staying on hold for hours, I just venmo'd my aunt the money. So overall, a very mediocre experience. Not sure I'll return even though it was fun to watch the ducks in pond through the window.

We were seated quickly and menus provided. One server greeted us and we just ordered water. It took awhile for another server to return for our food order. I ordered the protein quinoa bowl with crispy bacon as my meat choice. Everything arrived as ordered and I was pleasantly surprised at the speed. I'd return for another meal. It's a very laid back restaurant.

First time at this location. I had the avocado Benedict and it was delicious. Wonderful flavor. Our Bookclub met here. Service was great. I'll be back!

We arrived with the baby stroller and it was very wheelchair accessible!! I ordered strawberry stuffed pancakes, and it was regular sliced toasted bread with strawberry cream cheese. I was very disappointed. I did like my turkey bacon and eggs. I believe folks come here because it's a good vibe to "meet". The food is average. Staff friendly. Return rate is a maybe.

We sat out on the patio on a weekday morning. Very quick service. The server was nice with prompt refills. Nice views from the patio of the lake! The space was perfect for a quick business meeting. The server checked on us frequently Food was a little cold but was very tasty! We would return again, love the boardwalk location.

We had the famous toastery bowl and it was tasty and filling! We tried one with hollandaise sauce and one with the sausage gravy, both were equally delicious! You can't go wrong! The vibe is great, the location is really nice. We fed the ducks while waiting for our table and that was relaxing. We had good service. The only issue is there are 2 unisex bathrooms and if you use one the entire time different people will try to open the door! Talk about anxiety!!!! Men and women. Please put an "occupied" lock so people will know not to try the door handle! Still a five stars.... But sheesh!

I come here regularly and have taken a lot of friends. The food is really good I always get the potatoes with whatever I order they're just too good. Service is usually good for how busy it is not always the fastest but they are always nice. The inside is pretty spacious and the windows look out to the pond in the back. Would recommend if you like breakfast food.

The waitress was nice, friendly and attentive. The place looked nice with the water views helps too & it waa clean although the shapes of the seats was interesting. On a busy day it wasn't too loud which was great. I felt my waffle wasn't bad I wish it was more crispy but good. My omelet lacked flavor even with sausage and peppers but add salt and pepper to it, to give it something same for the grits. Overall I would come back and try something else.

I'm LATE on this review but, I just visited Famous Toastery for the first time today. I enjoyed my meal + mimosas on an impromptu Sunday brunch after church. Food here is nothing fancy - just straight comfort breakfast items and the classics: Eggs, toast, breakfast potatoes, sausage, bacon, grits etc. No frills or fluff - it'll be hot breakfast items hot off the pan and pretty much everything I tasted was good. They have breakfast cocktails like mimosas and bloody Mary's - both of which were good. I had the breakfast bowl and it was hot and tasty. I believe all the locations usually have a hefty line on Sundays so plan accordingly. I will likely return!

Limited space for 15 people gave us enough space for 10.

The service did a great job and management did a bad job of give us enough space for 15 people. Food was slow coming out and unorganized. But good friendly service made a difference.

    Absolutely delicious!!!

I know I made it look very pretty in my photos, but don't be fooled. Here is the complete review. We found the green tomatoes bland and appeared to have been frozen before being prepared. The "Gravy Train" with the mini biscuit was inedible. The gravy itself was OK. Nothing special, not one of the three were "great." But the mini biscuits were terrible, hard, dense chunks of dough. I ate one of them and discarded the rest. The "Chicken Ditch the Waffle" was equally terrible. Whatever they did to turn the biscuit into "fake" French toast is a 100% fail. They were as dense and unappealing as the mini biscuits. The chicken itself was fine. If I was only rating the chicken I'd probably give it a 3.5. The best dish was actually the "GOAT." It was served with a Standard biscuit which we thought was still too dense and dry. I recommend finding an independent restaurant that serves real, "from scratch" food. I should point out that the service crew in the dining room who delivered the food as well as provided cleanup and assistance, were exceptional. They were friendly, courteous, and focused on customer service. I'm sure they deserve more than they are being paid. It was obvious many of them were spanish-speaking immigrants. Not everyone in the restaurant treated them with the respect and gratitude they deserve. Here's the detail of our order from their menu. Unfortunately, it was a bit underwhelming. It was smaller than I expected and didn't really resemble an omelet. It was a little messy and slightly runny for my taste.
