No, they got rid of the gyro but just as good is the marinated chicken on their soft, pita bread.

Employees were very upbeat, friendly and genuinely happy to be there. Not used to that, but I'll take it! I know I made it look very pretty in my photos, but don't be fooled. Here is the complete review. We found the green tomatoes bland and appeared to have been frozen before being prepared. The "Gravy Train" with the mini biscuit was inedible. The gravy itself was OK. Nothing special, not one of the three were "great." But the mini biscuits were terrible, hard, dense chunks of dough. I ate one of them and discarded the rest. The "Chicken Ditch the Waffle" was equally terrible. Whatever they did to turn the biscuit into "fake" French toast is a 100% fail. They were as dense and unappealing as the mini biscuits. The chicken itself was fine. If I was only rating the chicken I'd probably give it a 3.5. The best dish was actually the "GOAT." It was served with a Standard biscuit which we thought was still too dense and dry. I recommend finding an independent restaurant that serves real, "from scratch" food. I should point out that the service crew in the dining room who delivered the food as well as provided cleanup and assistance, were exceptional. They were friendly, courteous, and focused on customer service. I'm sure they deserve more than they are being paid. It was obvious many of them were spanish-speaking immigrants. Not everyone in the restaurant treated them with the respect and gratitude they deserve. Here's the detail of our order from their menu. They even have a "Dietary Preference" menu (look for it online), with keto, gluten-free, and vegetarian options. Some servers aren't aware of this menu, but they will see it in their Toast device if they look for it. We have landed on a couple of favorite dishes that are repeats for us. I like the Spanish Omelet keto-style. Instead of a biscuit and grits, you get a half of an avocado (sliced) and a roasted tomato. The omelet is always full of flavor, and I love it. My husband's favorite is their White Chocolate Bread Pudding Pancakes, with bacon ($2 extra). Don't let the name deter you--these pancakes aren't too thick. They are slightly chewy, and the white chocolate whiskey sauce is amazing. He rarely uses the syrup! Ruby's coffee is always good and strong, and their service is great, no matter who you get. I'm already thinking of when we will return next!

The service is always fast and friendly, and of course, the food is good! I started with the fried green tomatoes, and they were easily the highlight of the meal. They were fried so well and topped with bacon, tomato, lettuce, and a tasty remoulade. I'm still thinking about them honestly! For my entrée, I ordered the 3 Little Pigs Omelet. Unfortunately, it was a bit underwhelming. It was smaller than I expected and didn't really resemble an omelet. It was a little messy and slightly runny for my taste. On the side, I added a single pancake and a bowl of grits, both of which were delicious though. I had a good experience and will definitely be back. I just wish the omelet had been prepared a little better.

We loved the make your own waffle and biscuit options. My husband made his cornbread waffle with fried chicken, eggs, pimiento and bacon jam, and I made my biscuit with fried chicken, eggs, arugula, gravy, and pecan crumble. Both were delicious, I can't wait to go back and try another combo. However, they are massive so definitely shareable if you just do one or take half home for dinner. The portions are truly generous!

It's small, you order cafeteria style before being seated, you seat yourself, and it can get a little noisy. We visited on a Sunday around 2:10 p.m., and there were still plenty of tables available. Then I tasted the food. The menu is built around customization. You can build your own waffle by choosing your waffle, meat, toppings, and sauce. Or build your own biscuit or grit bowl the same way. There are enough combinations that you could come back several times and order something different each visit. I ordered the Chicken and Red Velvet Waffle. It comes with crispy fried chicken, a red velvet waffle, cream cheese drizzle, syrup, and cinnamon butter. The chicken was crispy and juicy, although a few bites were a little salty. Not every bite, and the syrup balanced it out nicely. The cinnamon butter was a nice touch. However the waffles literally disintegrated under the chi My daughter ordered the Crab Cake Benedict Biscuit, and we shared it. It comes with a crab cake, sunny side up eggs, arugula, spinach, and hollandaise on a flaky biscuit. We also shared an order of Crispy Brussels Sprouts. Both were delicious, and the portions were generous enough that we still had leftovers to take home. One thing I liked was the variety of toppings and sauces. I had never heard of bacon jam before seeing it on the menu. If you like to customize your food, you'll have fun here. I came in expecting average and left planning my next visit. Must order: Crab Cake Benedict Biscuit, and the Crispy Brussels Sprouts. Tip: Don't skip the build-your-own options. There are enough combinations to create something every body likes.
