I stopped by this morning after my visit to the VA hospital and I must say this breakfast was the best medicine! My server, Lisa was attentive and pleasant, we had good conversation and she got me coffee and we discussed the breakfast options and I settled on 2 eggs over medium, with corned beef hash, a cup of grits, and a biscuit with gravy, sausage added in gravy she suggested!! Good idea! The food came quickly and was spot on delicious! Awesome crust on the corned beef! Eggs were yummy. The biscuit and gravy was amazingly good. The biscuit was fluffy with a nice char on top, the gravy, chunky with the sausage was D-Lish! I mixed my cup-o-grits with a bit of butter and a dash of sugar and combined with remaining hash and egg yolk for a tasty finish. This place, small and charming with a local charm is my new favorite breakfast joint! I will definitely be back!!! read more

Used to eat here quite a bit as I worked nearby, but hadn't ate here in many years due to WFH. I happened to be in Charlotte and was happy to remember they have my favorite meal on Thursdays... turkey and dressing. I've never had their version at any other restaurant. I ordered online and by the time I drove from S Tryon it was ready. Guy at the counter was very friendly and personable. Drove back to Belmont and dug in. It was even better than I remembered. Thick, (mostly) white meat turkey mixed with dressing and gravy. Delicious. I ordered grilled pork chops for hubby and spaghetti for my 21 year old. They both liked theirs as well. I stumbled upon this little gem this morning and decided to check it out in spite of its less-than-stellar Yelp rating. Boy, am I glad I did! Pressley Park Restaurant boasts, by way of a huge banner hanging off the roof (which worked by the way because it lured me in!), a $3.85 big breakfast. This special includes two eggs, hashbrowns or grits, biscuit or toast, and bologna or sausage. If you want to increase your breakfast meat options, for $5.25 you can have the same, but choose from bacon, livermush, bologna, sausage, or ham. The coffee is delightful! It's very light, so you can drink several cups without being zooted. They serve it in small cups so the waitress refills often and it stays warm. Pressley Park Restaurant is definitely worth adding to the breakfast diner rotation. I have not sampled their other offerings, but they serve breakfast all day, so why would you? They even have a drive-thru, for days when told are in a hurry! read more

Been eating here for 20 Years. Had my husband go by and pick up take out for his lunch and our dinner. Do this many times at different restaurants in Charlotte. I have always loved the Grilled Chicken Salads at PPR and my husband loves the Country Fried Steak/Gravy and 2 Vegs. Since it was lunch he bought a Cheeseburger Plate with a Sweet Tea, also. He had no clue what the total should have been and was given a receipt with only the amount. No itemized receipt at all. Charged $48.15 for the 3 items. When he left, he called me to let me know the total. I knew there was a mistake but the restaurant had closed it's doors at 1:00 so I had to wait until Monday to let the owner know I was overcharged. After getting home to eat the salad I was not pleased with the quality at all...wilted lettuce with some orange color on it which was very unappealing. I also noticed the salad only contained lettuce, a few diced tomatoes, and about 2 oz of chicken cubes. Needless to say, I did not want to attempt to eat something that looked this bad. Very disappointed I had spent close to fifty bucks to receive this kind of food. I called today and was greeted by Nick. I started to explain the incorrect total and the bad salad but he was rude and said he could take care of the bad salad but not both issues. He was talking so fast that I could barely understand him and when I needed to comment and explain my issues, he talked over me and hung the phone up telling me I was taking advantage of him. All I wanted was a correct fresh salad and a dinner for the overage I paid. After 15 years eating at this place, you would think Nick would be more professional and kind to the customers. He literally told me "he did not need me as a customer anymore and I was trying to get something out of him". That absolutely blew me over and the conclusion I have is that he likes to add additional amounts to your total and see if he can rake in as much money as possible plus give you an uneatable salad..... so I guess his business is booming and can hand choose his customers to his liking. Pressley Park Restaurant took over $20 out of my pocket and I believe Nick knew exactly what he was doing. He immediately went into defense mode so I am assuming he knows he is overcharging customers and has no respect for the quality of food he puts out. I will make sure everyone I know puts the word out to stay away from this establishment or you could get taken advantage of by paying too much money for the food you order or get poor quality food. I wish George still ran this restaurant. A big mistake putting Nick in charge. Hyperactive Greedy Shady Owner is what he is. Will tell all my friends, family, and associates to find another family restaurant during the work week. This place is not worth it!!! read more

As close to my business, a favorite place where everyone knows your name as well as your favorites. For breakfast, the chicken, cheese, and broccoli omelette is always a great choice. My kids love the pancakes. Lunch has everything you expect at a a dinner, but I really love the greek salad with grilled chicken on top. It's right across the street from my work. I get the ham egg and cheese sandwich in the morning. That runs a little expensive at around $5. The lunch is more reasonable if you get any of their lunch combos you are paying close to $10, and you get quite a bit of food. Taste wise everything is mediocre. My coworkers and I (usually 5-8 of us) have been ordering breakfast from Pressley for quite some time and the food has been ok. Pressley is a few blocks from our job and we order at least 2-3 times per week. Over time, on several of our orders, mistakes were made (missing items, overcharges, food cooked wrong, etc.). On most occasions, there was an attempt by the restaurant to rectify the errors. Because of so many past errors, we are always very specific and detailed when we place our order. On our pickup this morning (8/22/18), the owner expressed irritation about our "complaining" over THEIR errors and then argued his position in front of several other customers at the counter without apology. Its sad to say but, because of their extremely poor customer service, WE WON'T BE GOING BACK!!! The staff at Pressley should be ashamed!!!! :-( read more

So I was starving one morning and forgot to make my breakfast for work and it just so happened some other co-workers were ordering I ordered the breakfast sandwich (eggs, bacon, cheese) and a side of hash browns. Hahaha too funny... white bread was used... american cheese... classic southern I guess, but it wasn't bad... it was just as it was... basic and served its point and inexpensive. The hash browns were good, but if I order from them again, I'd ask if they could crisp them up a bit more. All in all, it was just fine. It won't be a staple, but a place to call on should I forget my breakfast once again. Oh and they are plus as they deliver to our offices and are always quite busy. I've been going to Pressley Park since forever and it's always been a dependable "meat+three" place to go. Last week I was in the area and stopped in for lunch. I happened to be in a hamburger mode so I ordered the double cheeseburger. I will have to say that cheeseburger was one of the worst cheeseburgers I've had. Two pieces of identical slabs of hamburger that looked like they had just gone from the freezer to the bun, bypassing the flattop altogether. Cheese squares then flopped on and hardly melted. They are currently pushing a breakfast platter special for $5-$6 bucks. It's close to work and was ready for take out in about 7 minutes. You can see how they package it. Nicely buttered toast on top, jelly, ketchup and plastic ware. Under the wax sheet are eggs, sausage and hash browns (I think they have other breakfast meats and grits for substitutes). Everything was great though it feels like the hash browns are a little off... Like they should be crispier (not sure if that's my preference or if they are trying to get these out too fast). Anyway, I doubt this is a destination restaurant with an iHop up on Woodlawn but if you work in this park and want a decent breakfast, go for it.
