Forgive the "liver spots". I said I was 67!
    Jody L.

I just needed my old gel removed, so I went to this salon close to my house. I was lucky enough to get Rose, who gave me the best manicure I may have ever had, and at 67 that is a serious number of visits to salons all over the country. The salon was calm, clean and friendly. And their rates are better than just competitive. So what made it such a great manicure? Rose. She removed my old gel gently. So I decided to try her out for a polish. She knew from looking at my nails the shape I wanted without a long explanation on my part. When I said no to the cuticle scissors, she gently pushed the cuticles back and ask if she could cut a couple of hang nails. And then she did an impeccable job applying the polish. And as a bonus, she was quite quick! Going back for a pedicure. And another favorite: no annoying tv playing something no one want to watch, or no bad loud music.

Acrylic fill. Much shorter than I requested.

I got what I expected based on the reviews here. The nails (I got an acrylic fill) were pretty solid save for the fact that she took more length off than I asked for. But, the nail tech filed and buffed so vigorously that she made my cuticles/the area around my nails bleed on several fingers. The skin was quite literally grated off on some parts. And then she yelled at me when my hand tensed up. She also yelled at me and was rude several times when I didn't understand what she was asking and made me put away all the polish after my nails were done. Again, not surprised. I went here because it was close to my apartment, not because I expected an excellent job. I'd never recommend coming here if you're able to go literally anywhere else.

Thick SNS, didn't like the way my cuticles looked.

Alright, when it comes to nails and hair, I'm picky. I wasn't a fan of this place. I came here to try out SNS nails. I use to get them a lot but stopped for awhile. Made an appointment with Kevin, due to multiple reviews mentioning his name. When I get my nails done, I like to relax. The nail salon was extremely packed on a Saturday of course, but the place didn't seem to really have any organization. People were walking everywhere, someone came to start taking my nails off, then boom stopped midway to help someone else. It was just A LOT going on. Also, it really doesn't seem like a "Spa" to me, more of just a quick nail salon. Finally Kevin, which is a sweetheart, started doing my nails. I mentioned to him that I like my SNS nails to look very natural, not thick. I left the salon with them looking thick. I also left with little cuts in my cuticles. Not even being dramatic, but when I washed my hands they would sting a little. It just wasn't the best experience, and again, I'm picky when it comes to nails!

Came in to the salon last night with my sis for the dip powder nails and was welcomed by Julie. She was super nice and did my full set and Lisa did my sisters dip manicure. Very nice environment and very friendly techs. Bringing our mom back tonight for a relaxing birthday pedi!!! PS the torn up cuticle was there before I came into the salon (I bite my nails and cuticles )

Went today around 12 to repair my busted nails. There was only one other customer so I was seen right away by Linda. She's an older lady with a very sweet maternal demeanor. One of my nails was split on the side and once I showed it to her, she promised to fix it, no charge. After soaking off the gel, she painted my nail with a clear substance and dipped it in SMS powder twice. No more split nail! Linda gave me a lovely French manicure. She was attentive throughout the entire process and asked me repeatedly how thick I wanted the French tip. I could tell she really cared about her work. I really like my nails. She took them from busted to beautiful! This was my 3rd visit to this salon. I will be back!

Had the absolute worst experience here today. The nail tech that did my nails has tattooed eyebrows, so if you have to come here avoid her. She was extremely rude. I asked for a french manicure and she just painted my nails white. I should have spoken up but I was in a time crunch and just let it go but that was just the start. At the end she just squirted some lotion on my palms and told me rub them hahaha never experienced this at a nail salon before but ok. Also just look at the job she did. Unacceptable. 1 star is too high of a rating.

I went in for a basic mani & French pedi. Now for those that get French - we know it's a specialized service (meaning they upcharge for it). A specialized service needs a specialist. While the nail tech was polite and tried her best, you could tell that wasn't her speciality and with the language barrier it was hard communicating exactly what was needed. Plus I think techs today put more effort into those that get gel/acrylic etc over basic/natural which is disappointing. She asked me if I wanted my toes cut down (I said yes) but she ended up filing them so they were still long. The towels are pretty dingy and they dry your feet with the same towel they work on, cuticle clean up was great but the leg massage was way too much pressure. I asked for bubble bath nail color but they gave me a purple equivalent & I had to ask for a 2nd coat. The white lines aren't crispy, & while I appreciate her trying to emulate the look I had when I came in, I think it would've been better if she just did her own thing. The manicure was standard, she skipped a few nails and had to go back. I asked for square square all around (hands & feet) but ended up with round square. Again, she was sweet & polite but for $78 - it wasn't worth the experience, especially not the French because my toe nails are still long so you can barely see the white tips and the color gives more of a purple than pink

I originally came in for a pedicure and a full set, but I ended up not getting the full set I'll explain why. When I sat down, I was never asked if I wanted a drink, while other white customers around me were. I was also not given a menu to choose the type of pedicure I wanted. That immediately rubbed me the wrong way treat everyone the same. I asked for square nails and told her multiple times not to round them, yet she continued to do so anyway. I requested French toes with a soft pink base and black tips, but she acted like she couldn't find the colors. At that point, I told her to just do solid black to keep it moving. When we went to her nail station, I showed her the reference for the full set pink acrylic with a black French tip. She tried to tell me it wasn't possible and claimed she only had gel polish. I had to pull up a TikTok and show her, and suddenly she understood exactly what I meant. By then, I already knew my nails were about to be messed up, so I told her to just do a manicure instead. I paid over $100, and my polish is already peeling off. On top of that, the tools do not appear to be properly disinfected, which is unacceptable. I am a board-certified esthetician, and this experience was extremely unprofessional. Connie was careless, and this salon overall was a huge disappointment. I will not be returning. So pissed my gel polish is already coming off..

She did a great job on the bleaching and it's not damaged at all. The main gripe I have is that the dye she put on top washed out after one wash with purple shampoo, something that had never happened to me before when I had gotten my hair balayaged elsewhere in the past (nor when I'd gotten it toned every two months). She'd recommended using overtone conditioner--unfortunately, the silver overtone conditioner did nothing except give my hair a green twinge (looks a lot like hay currently.) When I panicked and told Doan about this she was kind and offered me useful advice--clarifying shampoo, which I hadn't thought about--and relayed the brand of dye she used so I wouldn't have an alternative salon use it on me in the future. Sadly, only two weeks after getting my hair done I'm going to have to go somewhere else to get it fixed, hence the three stars. :(

On 8/1 I received an eyebrow wax and was happy afterwards only to discover on 8/3 that I had a rash around the eyes and the eyelids. BOTH OF MY EYES!!! I was also burnt that left a scar that I can actually deal with but the rash not too much. I immediately notified the owner, she apologized, she shared with me that this happened to another customer earlier in the day, and to put Neosporin on it. She also shared with me that she saw the bumps starting to appear but failed to tell me until I brought it to her attention 2 days later. Luckily I had both Neosporin and Benadryl handy and started to apply the cream. Now on 8/5 and 8/6 I have woken up to swollen eyes!!! I called her again and asked if she using something new, what did she do different, etc. Of course there is a culture and language barrier that is difficult beyond words; however I am explaining to Christine what she did that day at time of service. She began to draw my eyebrow with a pencil, and then proceeded to wax and tweeze the brow. When she was done, I looked at the good job she did, paid and left. Only to discover this horrific rash and swelling on my face. I called on 8/6 to notify her once again of my concerns and she further explains that it has happened to her as well when she waxes her brows. Clearly this wax is bad, contaminated, or the like and this is a huge problem. The reason that I am going above and beyond is to avoid this happening to anyone else. My face is irritated and I cannot scratch it at all! I am highly upset, frustrated, annoyed, and now inconvenience for seeking attention to correct her negligence. What is sad is that I have been going to this place for 8+ years when she began in the building above her. I actually stopped getting my nails done here because after 3 days my nails are chipped and broken. I pass by too many nail salons that are much cheaper and efficient to have this done to me. So I continued to get my brows done here since I was always satisfied with that service. Christine will never have to worry about me coming back here ever again. The power of the internet and crowd sourcing will play a part when people begin to read many outlets of this unfortunate moment. After visiting urgent care I learned that this reaction is a STAPH INFECTION!! Now I'm on antibiotics until it clears. I wish her and her business the best but she will never receive a penny of my money again!
