Not one person greeted me when I walked in (which to an extent is a huge pet peeve of mine). What made it worse was eventually an employee (I believe the owner) looked me right in the eyes and didn't say anything and just ignored me. They had some good comics hanging on the wall and stuff seemed fairly priced. But honestly customer service and feeling welcomed goes much farther to me as a customer. If I don't feel welcomed or wanted then why would I bother wanting to give you my money? I'm not sure how people stay in business when they're not social with their customers.

We live in…read moreNYC and have happily saved our quarters and made the drive many times to play in the classic arcade (and visit Oblong books and Pizzeria Posto) so were were SHOCKED to find out they have replaced the arcade with a tabletop game cafe. The games cafe was empty except for the nice guy trying to interest people in playing games. All the fantastic pinball machines are GONE. The only game left was a video "Simpson's" game. My son played with the other kids whose family made an hour + trip with a bag of quarters. It was such a disappointment. Pretty please use your Megabrains to bring back pinball!

I can tell you that this store is huge, neatly set up, and boasts an ungodly amount of comics, collectibles, figurines, toys, games, cards, books, posters (check out the very foxy Supergirl) across the pop culture spectrum of movies, television, comic books, super heroes & villains. They even have a small sports card section, so every branch of the Nerd Tree is represented here! They don't have a website, but have a Facebook page on their business card, which I included as a photo.

I have been here 2 times and will be back, again. I bought two full comic book sets, one was a 52…read morebook set for $100, and most of these are in almost pristine condition. I then bought another 18 comic book full set for $15 and with 2 missing books (that was clearly marked as missing) and I found the other 2 online, so now I have the full set, and it only cost me $24 in all - you can't beat these prices. I'm not looking for comic books that are in perfect condition, although, most that I have received are in great condition and inside protective sleeves. I'm 54 years young and enjoying being able to buy full sets of of the classics. Great store, and I can't wait to buy my next full series.

Best Comic Shop in The Area! I've been going to Rogue Comics…read moresince its initial opening in 2010, and I must say, the place is like fine wine- It gets better with age! The owner Mike is one of the most pleasant people to talk to and his seemingly endless knowledge of comic books and generally nerdy things is rather refreshing. You can tell he loves what he does and puts care into making sure every customer he serves ends up enjoying their visit. Want a certain comic book or piece of paraphernalia that is unavailable at the moment? Mike will offer to order it for you. He is helpful to people of all ages and doesn't get enough credit for the work that he does. I truly hope that Rogue Comics stays open and thrives in its business for years to come.

I make frequent visits to Cave Comics as I do the other comic shops in the area and Cave is great…read more Staff and owner are helpful and friendly, they don't have a ton of back issues, but they have SO MANY graphic novels it's amazing. From current stuff to old to indie. The selection is deep. They have a few long boxes of $1 comics and a few magazine size boxes (I cleared out their old Epic Magazines in one trip), a few walls of games and a solid selection of statues/figures. They also get in some great books, like Illustrators and Illustration (two separate publications), which you usually have to find online/buy direct. All in all, a great place to stop by and dig around!

Terrible experience. I live about an hour away and wanted to sell some loose vintage Japanese…read morePokemon booster packs, so I called ahead to make sure my drive would be worth it. I explained to the person on the phone that I had some loose sealed Pokemon booster packs that I wanted to sell and asked if they were interested and if they buy them. They told me they would have to examine that packs in person (not an issue) in case of resealing/tampering but if the inspection went ok they would buy them. After this, I made the drive up since it seemed worth my time. Once I arrive with the packs, he tells me since they loose packs, and not in sealed boxes, that they weren't too interested (different response than the phone call) but that he would look up prices and give me an offer. Another employee showed up and immediately started saying that they automatically were to assume these 3 packs were weighed and possibly x-rayed. Keep in mind, Japanese packs cannot be weighed for "hits" as Japanese anti gambling laws make it so that every pack has to contain a hit, unlike vintage English packs where weight can give away holos/hits. So this place handles TCG's but apparently are not knowledgeable on the topic. Also, paying hundreds/thousands to x-ray 3 booster packs seems a bit ridiculous if I'm trying to sell them. As the initial guy I spoke to was looking up prices, I pulled out a slabbed PSA 4 charizard to ask if they would be interested in it as I was starting to feel my trip would be for nothing. The guy took the graded card and started shaking it constantly to show that the card was a bit loose inside the slab, it's a card from 1997 inside a slab that is over 15+ years of age so with time the card has come loose inside so it moves around a tiny bit, even though a simple wobble or slight back and fourth movement would have been enough. After this he walks to the back after telling me they would still give me an offer on the packs. Then the first guy asks me what I was looking to get for them and I mentioned that I know they have to make profit as well, so anything in the 70-80% market price range would be doable for me. He told me the most they could offer was 20% market value and that they didn't say this over the phone because they don't discuss numbers (understandable) but even a range/estimate on % would've been very reasonable as I've dealt with many shops before and never had an issue like this. He was also sure to mention that they don't discuss this over the phone so that they "dont waste their time." 20% market value for vintage packs was an absolute disrespectful offer to make me, and also a huge disrespect for a possible future customers time which they clearly don't value the same as their own time. This place felt more like a scummy pawn shop than a TCG/collectible store. I've sold, purchased and played TCGs in many shops before and this was by far the worst experience I've ever had in one. Would not recommend this place.

My wife and I just visited this store because it is free comic book day and we work with a…read morenon-profit that sends comics into prisons to enhance literacy. The store was empty and as we walked toward the back, there was a gentleman sitting in a small office. He grunted at us when we greeted him. When we told him we were there to see about some free comic books he said those were just for kids. When we told him why we were there - seeking donations for Comic Books for Justice, he grunted again. Whether he would like to donate or not, or agrees with our mission or not, it was the rudest customer service I have experienced in a long time. Had he shown even the smallest inkling of kindness, my wife and I would have shopped the store and likely made some decent purchases. In any event, be warned. This is not a nice guy and not a very nice place.
