I could clearly see my natural nail tips through it, and they looked very bad. I again showed the photo of what I had asked for, and the staff doing my nails was upset and didn't understand. Another staff removed the gel that was done, but was clearly upset and in a rush. When filing down my nails with the machine, he cut into my skin on two nails, causing bleeding and cuts. Sally Nails is close to my house, so I decided to give them a chance. I called them for an appointment a few hours ahead of time (because I like to wait to the last minute, obviously) and they squeezed me in. I did end up having to wait about a half hour at the salon, but they kept apologizing and engaging with me, letting me know that one of their employees went home sick and they haven't forgotten about me. I had the lady that sits closest to the door. She took her time with my manicure, doing a few extra steps than I'm used to seeing. She was precise with the filing, shaping, and painting. I was able to make an appt online with a specific nail tech which was so nice and easy :) I chose Lion based off of other reviews - and he was great!!! He's very detailed, clean and precise. He did not rush but was still very quick (just ~1 hour). I personally do my own nails so I'm always looking at shape, size, clean lines/paint - and I was VERY impressed with him.
