Reposting it below because there is no reason this story shouldn't be forever associated with this business. Dog owners thinking about using this service should hear these stories. And clearly, there are many like it judging by the reviews. This isn't inconsequential griping about a pizza order getting messed up, this is about people's animals that mean an immense amount to them. I implore yelp to allow this to stand. Anyway, editors please take note, I am removing all of the "second hand" information and speaking to my "first hand experience" Bottom line, Babette did not notice that our dog had been suffering from a broken back for over a day. Do you really want to allow her to watch your dog? *** Edited Review: So here's the bare bones story - we picked up our dog Chili from Babette and something wasn't right. She could not walk. Babette claimed that Chili was brought to her like this and noticed Chili was walking funny for two days but never called us to let us know something was wrong. We brought Chili to the Vet immediately found out that she in fact had a herniated disk and needed very expensive surgery. Babette took zero accountability. It is shocking to me that she could not perceive a dog in suffering for over 2 days if she was actually closely watching her. We are thankful Chili regained her ability to walk but it could have turned out differently given the amount of time she was under Babette's care suffering from this injury

She gives me updates by text of how my pugs did on their walk and alerts me if she has any concerns about their health. She was also aware on our first meeting that pugs can overheat easily (due to their short noses) and made it a point to say that she would be careful with them on hot days. She came over before I ever used her services for a meet and greet to understand my needs and to meet my pugs. I believe she is expanding her services also to Huntington Beach soon. My husband got in contact with LeNay about pricing and LeNay encouraged us to bring the pups for an evaluation with Andrea. We went and met with Andrea and immediately I fell in love. The first thing I noticed was how clean it was. There was no smell and the facility was spotless. It was a huge difference from the last place we went to. Andrea spent over an hour with us evaluating the dogs and talking about how they run their daycare. Andrea explained that they like to take the dogs on 2-3 walks when they are at the daycare full day. Andrea asked us to go on a walk with the dogs so she can evaluate how they are on leash. I really appreciated the thorough evaluation because it made me feel that Andrea cared about our dogs and that every other dog that will be coming into the facility will be appropriate. Andrea told us since they are new they are offering 1st daycare for free so we tried them out and decided to buy a 30 day pass. So for we've taken the dogs 3 times and really appreciate Andrea & Brittany. Andrea texts my husband throughout the day and gives us updates about the dogs. I would HIGHLY recommend Ruff Life for pawrents who need a trustworthy place to drop of their dogs. They also offer grooming and baths at a great price. I can't wait for their hours to extend so we can start dropping them off on the weekends :)

We both work anywhere between 4-5 days a week and I felt so bad leaving my little girl alone all day while we were gone so I decided to check this place out. I met with the owner LeNay for the first "interview" and she was awesome, and you could really tell she opened Ruff Life Resort for the right reasons. Penelope has been here 2 times already and she loves it. They sent me photos and even a video throughout the day of her playing with another little dog and it made me so happy. She comes home and sleeps the rest of the evening because she's so tuckered out. It's great socialization for her to play with her kind and great for us that evening at least...it's like a free night for the hubby and me because she just sleeps. haha. Puppies have so much energy! Love this place! Wish I could send her here like 3 times a week.She always comes back happy, and the place is spotless. They take them on multiple walks a day, and are always supervised.

I can attest from personal observation; Sam takes great care of her panting pooches and always has them in control. She recently purchased a small, cargo-style van to be more accommodating and, on many occasions, I've seen her break out the oversized water bowl to keep her pack well hydrated in remote parking lots. Out of care and concern when it gets warm, she'll oftentimes skip walking her pack on the asphalt and pavement at the beach and opts for grass outings at a local park instead. All said, it's no surprise to see she's been successful for 10 years.

Jack is a little anxious so Emily takes extra care of him to keep him calm and happy! They are both super spoiled with her and love when they go to her home. I am *that* person that views their dog as their child and his care is of the upmost importance to me. We had never left our golden retriever with anyone other than family, but since we moved out of state, that was no longer an option. We had a situation where we had to leave and could not bring our boy with us and it caused us a tremendous amount of stress wondering what we would do. As soon as we met with Emily, I knew she would love and care for him just as we would. She listened to our concerns and understood our worries about leaving him with someone other than family for the first time. She was even on board with us doing a 'trial run' sleepover prior to us leaving to make sure he felt comfortable. Our boy now runs to her front door, walks in her house with his toys, and turns around to look at us like...bye mom and dad, have a good time! He absolutely loves staying with Emily and socializing with other dogs. Emily texted us pictures and updates every single day - she will never truly know how much that was appreciated! He was living his absolute best life playing in her yard, throwing his frisbee, going to the dog parks and even the dog beach! We didn't think he'd want to come home! We live, with traffic, an hour or so from Emily but if she was 5 hours away, I would make the drive...no question about it. She is worth every mile and dollar spent and I highly highly highly recommend her.
