    Dogs on a pack walks

My dog loves the pack walks. Employees are great, follow the directions/ notes, and I'm always left with fun pictures and a tired dog!

    Zara A.

My previous review was 5 stars but it only reflected my rating for the actual dog walkers - who all have been very friendly and awesome, as well as my dog's socialization after going on pack walks. My dog really enjoys his pack walks. Most of the dog walkers all seem very friendly and great. That's about it though. This updated review includes my experience regarding the customer service - which leaves a bit to be desired. The texting team is really lacking and unfriendly. They're not very helpful and seem annoyed at any question or request. This is the main reason why I stopped this service.

I have an extremely reactive Malinois! I was referred to Dog republic from a neighbor and oh boy did I find exactly what we needed. Kevin was the first expert to make my boy calm down and act like he has manners. I take both my Shepard's in for boarding when I need to and we also use the grooming services. We are so thankful we found these guys!

    Malcolm on a pack walk

My pup, Malcolm, has been going to Dog Republic for almost a year now and it has been (and continues to be) such a good experience. Malcolm has major stranger danger and makes the worst first impression but DR was so patient with him and gained his trust (THANK YOU KELLY). Malcolm's LOVES to play at the day camp and hike with his friends once a week ... and I love that he comes home dead tired. I've taken Malcolm to other doggie daycare and he always comes back stinky and still rambunctious. Not the case at DR. Highly recommend.

We love Dog Republic! My little West Highland White Terrier has been going to Dog Republic since she was a puppy! The owner Kevin is amazing with her. They taught her how to walk on a leash and many other great behavior things. We use them for pack walks 3x per week, day care, overnights, and grooming! They truly offer it all. One thing that I absolutely love is their Dog House and how it is free roam. The house is kept up well and very clean. We are busy working and Dog Republic makes it so convenient as they will come pick up your dog, take them on a walk/to the dog house, and then drop them back off at your house. I mentioned they also do grooming. We were going somewhere else but they continued to give our dog razor burn on her stomach. We realized that Dog Republic actually had grooming, so we decided to give it a try. They actually give our dog the best haircut we have ever had. The app is amazing you can book so easy. Their staff is always so friendly. The owners Kevin and Natasha always go above and beyond. We couldn't imagine trusting anyone else with our Westie!

My baby Ulf has been going here for awhile, he loves it here, he's just a puppy, in the beginning I was really concerned but now I am totally at ease, he goes to day care and training, I work in peace knowing my baby is in good hands! Here are some pictures of my baby during the day having fun!!!

Blaze boy! Having fun with his furry friends

Kevin, we want to remind you how much we sincerely appreciate everything you've done for us. Your team at Dog Republic always takes good care of our baby boy. Thank you! Blaze trains with Kelly or Hunter every week. They've done an excellent job! We acknowledge your hard work and appreciate your effort. We've seen significant growth and improvement thanks to your help and assistance. You are both very patient and consistent with Blaze to keep him engaged during each training session. Nice work! Our golden retriever gets groomed at their facility, on occasion. He enjoys his stay at doggy daycare! Their app is extremely user friendly to book appointments. They are quick to respond to every text message and phone call with questions or concerns. We get updated with photos and videos after every visit. Brandon's got good energy! We love that guy! He's always smiling and happy to see us. You can tell he's excited to be there and enjoys his job. I hope he gets employee of the month! A+

I adopted my dog Kiwi a few years ago who is such a sweet dog but would bark and lunge at other dogs on our walks. After some time I had to come up with a solution. I would see the Dog republic bus all around town so I decided I'd give them a call. It was such a good decision. My dog received training, he goes on pack walks AND he gets groomed by them! I learned a lot in dog training which has helped me on our walks. Shayne the young lady who takes him on pack walks really loves dogs. She's so sweet to kiwi. I love that he goes on pack walks because he gets to get some energy out, have fun with other dogs & get some fresh air. I'm so grateful for dog Republic & all that they do for my pet. Highly recommend!!

Our little Coco is on the right!
    Jen B.

We had adopted Coco, our little pit/lab/dachshund mix, from the shelter back in January. She is great with people, but with other dogs was another story. She was extremely fearful and would bark non-stop if any dog would get near her. Our trainer, Vladae from So Cal Dog Training, recommended that we take her to Dog Republic to help with her socialization. When I brought her in for the initial temperament evaluation, I'll admit that I was a little nervous that she wouldn't get in because of her fear and anxiety around other dogs since it is a cage free environment. I met with Kevin and he said that Coco was indeed a special case, but he assured me that they would take her in and would be able to help her. I signed up on the spot and enrolled Coco for day camp and obedience sessions with Kelly twice a week. Now, here we are, three weeks and 7 obedience sessions in, and I swear this isn't the same dog. Coco is walking with and and even playing with other dogs! She has calmed down a ton and the barking has stopped. She is definitely a more confident pup now. The progress has been amazing to watch. They send pictures and videos of her at camp, and I can't help but to share and show everyone... So proud! Thank you Dog Republic for giving Coco a chance and helping her out of her shell. We're so grateful for everything that you guys do!

    Billie loves day camp!
    Yin S.

This isn't your typical doggy daycare, this is a pack walk day camp with employees that want your dog to succeed. We started taking Billie here a couple weeks ago after we adopted her and realized that she wasn't the most dog social. We tried a couple daycares, some were too lax and continuously let her misbehave, while some were too strict and didn't want to help us socialize her. I found Dog Republic because of their pack walk specialty, but since we're not in service area she can't be picked up. That was ok with us, we just drop her off and she gets to play in the yard and also go on a pack walk. For those of you with dogs that are not well dog socialized, pack walks are amazing to help dogs develop appropriate dog social skills. You are having your dog learn leash manners while learning to be around other dogs in a controlled way. Billie had her off days and sometimes did not react the nicest to other dogs. The people here are so patient with her and they really put a lot of effort into helping her become a better dog. I can already see improvement in her dog social skills and I really have to thank Dog Republic for it. She is always excited to go, and when she comes back from DR she is always in a super good mood so I know she had a great time. Thank you team for taking care of Billie! One thing I do wish is to get more pictures and videos of her at camp and on walks. I read other reviews saying they get lots of photos and videos, but I haven't received any from them with her last two visits.

A couple of these weren't terribly serious, but we felt we weren't "in charge" anymore, that our dog wasn't getting the message from whatever we were doing, and that if we didn't do something different, it could really get out of control. Brad really helped us with this, where traditional "training" wasn't working. We have two or three things we're working on with our girl, but here is the most dramatic change we had with one issue. She is very food motivated, and would beg from us at the table whenever we sat down to eat, and would be underfoot in the kitchen during prep. She got overly excited and would not settle and lie down. Brad explained we weren't communicating well with her on a dog level, so to get that communication kicked in to gear, he actually started our session not with this problem, but with making sure she would not dash out the front door when it was opened. This was to establish that we were in charge and what was expected of her. What he showed us how to do worked like you wouldn't believe. It was like a light bulb went off for our girl. What we did affected everything after that. It wasn't about dashing out the door, it wasn't about begging for food, it was about knowing what was acceptable in our pack and to look to us for direction. That night, at dinner, she went to her "spot" with a simple direction and was relaxed during our entire meal. She can now be directed to her spot and will stay quietly any time we need her to. Best of all, she seems truly relieved that she doesn't have to be in charge and that WE are. She is much more relaxed around so many other things. It gave us so much more confidence! I didn't think that what Brad taught us would work. It's quite counterintuitive. But trust me, it worked like magic. This is not dog training - it's communication with your dog. Brad answers all your questions, doesn't waste your time, shows you clearly and directly what will work. We're so thankful we found him!

I met with several trainers before Brad & had little to no success in the areas we needed most, I was exhausted. Now for the first time ever, I can leave him home alone without the overwhelming anxiety and guilt that used to come with it. Our walks are actually enjoyable again, and I feel confident bringing him around friends and into new environments. What I appreciate most is that the training gave me the tools and confidence to understand and communicate with my dog better. I have my freedom back, and Cash is happier and more relaxed because of it. If you're struggling with separation anxiety, behavioral issues, or just want a better relationship with your dog, I can't recommend Brad enough. The impact has been life-changing.

What sets Vladae apart is that he doesn't just train dogs, he teaches owners how to build a lifelong relationship with them. Every lesson leaves us with practical tools, clear direction, and the confidence to continue the training every single day. Because of that, the progress doesn't stop when the session ends. Vladae has an incredible ability to understand dogs. Watching him read a dog's behavior, body language, and mindset is genuinely fascinating. He knows exactly how to communicate with each dog in a way they understand, and it's clear this comes from years of experience and a deep understanding of canine psychology. He's also one of the most invested professionals we've ever worked with. Throughout the week, he encourages us to send videos, provides thoughtful feedback almost immediately, and is always available to answer questions or jump on a call if we need guidance. You never feel like you're figuring things out on your own. He truly cares about both the dogs and the people raising them, and he always follows through. Every recommendation Vladae has made, whether it's training tools, techniques, or daily routines, has become an essential part of Coach's development. We trusted the process from day one, and the results truly speak for themselves. (See the videos! Coach is only 6.5 months old in them.) Our puppy is happy, confident, well-mannered, and genuinely loves learning. We receive compliments on his behavior everywhere we go, and we owe so much of that to the foundation Vladae helped us build. We also had the opportunity to work with Erica, who trains alongside Vladae, and she was absolutely wonderful. One session with Erica is included in the program, and it was incredibly helpful. He genuinely wants every dog and every owner to succeed, and that level of commitment is incredibly rare to find. If you're looking for a trainer who truly understands dogs and is committed to setting both you and your dog up for long-term success, I can't recommend Vladae highly enough. Coach has become an incredible puppy, and we're excited to continue into adult school because of the foundation he's helped us build. We're so grateful we found him!

She would bark at everyone and everything, and was just SO anxious and nervous (understandably) in public. Other trainers we looked into wanted to use shock collars and other more aggressive forms of discipline on her, but I knew Patty didn't need more trauma to help her calm down. Bryndon, on the other hand, was patient, kind, and used treats and other strategies to help Patty gradually feel comfortable on walks. When he got her to go into a dog park - WITH NO LEASH - I was literally speechless (in a good way!). I never thought that would be an option for Patty, but here she was going up to other dogs and walking around without growling, barking, or lunging at them. After 4-5 weeks of training, I'm now able to take Patty to a dog park on my own, off leash, and she actually PLAYS with other dogs all on her own! I literally teared up the first time I saw her running and playing with other dogs; this was something I never thought would happen because so many other people and trainers told me that Patty would probably always be aggressive and scared. Now, she loves dog parks and I'm planning on enrolling her in agility classes in the future - just like Bryndon said would be a possibility one day. I cannot praise him enough. Trust him with your dog because he will take help them through patience, kind words, and care, and not through fear, pain, or aggression, which our dogs don't deserve.

I knew that her issues were bad enough that it would take a very long time for her to get better, but to my surprise she showed massive improvements literally within the first few sessions. Most importantly, he showed and taught me what I needed to do to help guide her along, which was my biggest worry. We've both learned a lot (and got to learn a lot of tricks along the way lol). I cannot express enough how grateful I am to have chosen him as Maya's trainer. He listens to your needs and concerns and actually addresses them, is extremely well informed, and gives you and your dog the confidence they need to be better. He has a good mentality towards training dogs and utilizes positive reinforcement to help correct the source of issues rather than training that only serves to suppress and hide the bad behaviors/triggers. I don't say this lightly, but I cannot recommend Bryndon enough! If you are someone like me who was both highly skeptical and unsure, try meeting him for an intro, he is very approachable and friendly, and is genuinely honest enough to tell you if he's the right fit or not. Thank you Bryndon!!!

If you are willing to listen, do the work, be consistent and actually do everything he says to you will not be disappointed. It was worth every $ spent. @ xavier hernandez dog behaviorist on Yelp if you want to see more reviews specific to him. I am no longer dreading taking them on walks. Turns out Cooper just had some anxiety and can get over excited. I thought I had an aggressive dog until we met with a Xavier. Very thankful and grateful.

She was attacked by a much smaller dog ever since she goes crazy whenever we see another dog. I found a, "Highly Recommended" Dog trainer online according his website. After 3 sessions with him, his advice was to punch my dog in the face and head until she worried more about me than other dogs. As you can imagine that did not work and we stopped going. I started calling around to other trainers I found online but nobody wanted to work with such a big aggressive dog. One trainer referred me to Tony. After talking with Tony and watching his webinar he referred us to Xavier who from the first 15 minutes had my dog sitting down calmly and accepting directions. I can't speak highly enough for how professional results oriented both Tony and Xavier have been. We were considering returning her back to the breeder before meeting Tony and Xavier. Thank you both so very much!
