They made me wait 25 mins before someone worked on my nails. The first woman took off my previous dip and sanded the nail beds. Then, she gave me to a different woman for the next steps. I had already told her I did not want that woman as she had done my nails previously and they were lumpy and had a black speck on one nail that I saw and told her that wasn't supposed to be there and she said you wouldn't be able to see it when we were done but when we were done you could see it plain as day and when I asked her to redo that nail, she said she couldn't see anything and the nail was fine. So, I told the woman I would rather have someone else do the finishing of the nails this time. She then sanded my nails some more for the prep and I had to wait an additional 30 mins for another woman to be available. No problem, a good set of nails is worth the wait. Overall, it took them 2 hours to do nails that shouldn't have taken more than 70 mins. Normally, my nails last 3 weeks and the only thing forcing me to get them redone at that time is the grow out. 6 days after getting my nails dipped, the tips and sides started to peel away from the dip and the top coat started to peel off. I was out of town and couldn't go back to the salon until day 10, and by that time 3 of my nails had the tips ripped off completely from snagging on stuff. Keep in mind these are my real nails. I've been having my nails dip mani for over 4 years straight and this has never happened. This was caused by lack of experience and expertise when prepping and finishing my nails. When I finally went into the salon to show the manager my nails, she said that happens with real nails. Ummm, no it doesn't. It's never happened to me. I asked for her to remove the remaining product from my nails and provide me a refund of my $70 I paid. She said refunds were against their policy but she would have someone fix them. I had already had everyone at her store do my nails at some point and none of them were worth $70 and 2 hours of my time. So no thanks on your sub par service. Ultimately, she chose to not give me a refund and told me she would prefer I leave a negative review of her business. I was very disappointed in her choice of outcome.

You keep thinking you need one, or that you should have made some time, but life gets busy. The other down side is- once you do find the time... getting into an appointment is a obstacle itself. I had a day off one afternoon and being nearby Gresham, I saw Amy on Yelp and decided- why not? Gave her a call and she answered and was able to get me in asap. She was flexible, courteous and kind. Once in, we went over what I would like to get accomplished and the price points. First off, prices are very much affordable. Secondly, she obviously has the experience and care. Noticed when she shampooed my hair the temperature was warm and perfect, and during the final rinse she switched to cool water. She was able to accomplish the length and texture of my hair without overdoing it and gave me the perfect look for my round face. At the end, my hair was silky smooth, soft to touch and cut beautifully all in a short time span. Since we had the time, I also decided to get my eyebrows waxed and let me tell you. My eyebrows looks more fuller! I started off with thin small brows that was grown and unruly and without precision waxing and detailed tweezing she made it seem perfect! Bonus feature is she accepts the 10% discount when you arrive and check in on Yelp. Highly highly recommend for everyone to stop by and try Amy's! I would have loved to get photos, but she said she is in the middle of renovating and upgrading her sign and inside. *Covid procedures on hand. On top of waiting so long, I did not get what I asked for. The tech cut the corner of my toe nail off, after I asked for square shape. When questioning her about it, she said I came in with broken toe nail (which was not the case). Pricing is decent, but beware.. you get what you pay for.

It's a bright, clean salon that feels really friendly. The people working there seem actually OK with being at work, and there's lots of laughter and chit chat. It's very lively, compared to other places i've been to where the salon employees seem to work hard ignoring you. I had a pedicure and bio gel extension nails manicure. They are *serious* about cleanliness and sanitation. My feel felt great and toenails look terrific. The bio gel nails are a true game changer! They are indestructible, smooth, and easy to file down if needed. I even went back after a week to get a new gel polish. I am really happy to find a chill salon.

Today I went in for a full set builder gel and it was the absolute worst technique I could imagine, she applied giant globs of gel at the base spilling all over the edges my nails were fat and lumpy and uneven and then barely any at the tips and I kept telling her this is not proper technique she should be applying an even layer all the way down and she said she would file it later. I kept insisting she stop doing that but she didn't listen. She CURED THEM with giant globs then filed them and I was like you don't see the globs? There not even! They're lumpy. This is the epitome of what every video online wil l tell you NOT to do! I had to teach her proper technique that she should be applying an even layer. My nails looked horribly and she basically had to file off ALL of the builder gel and then go over it with regular gel. To finally make them look normal. The sides are still fat and lumpy. I had to file them myself when I left. I was planning on coming here to get my nails done for my wedding in a few weeks but unfortunately the skill level at this salon with builder gel is very alarming. I wanted to stop her but the gel was on at that point. I'm flying to LA tomorrow and will have them fix it. I'm not trying to be mean but the management needs to teach proper technique. It was low effort and they should take better care of having higher quality skill. Please watch a video online or tik tok of how to apply builder gel if you go here and then compare the technique they are using you will see it is not industry standard. The place is beautiful and I really wish I had a better experience because my first one was wonderful. But the results have been too inconsistent each time
