Took my pupp here because of a recommendation of a friend and the Great reviews on here. Ive never even written a yelp review because I've never felt the need. However I've never been so upset with an experience. First of all our appt was in the morning and my pupp wasn't ready until 5 hours later. When I picked her up she was jittery and acting super weird. Also they had a baby sitting in a play jumper around the dogs on the counter ??because that's safe and sanitary for a child. On top of that her cut was butchered. She's a very fluffy dog and we asked that they keep her face cute and puppy looking with a puppy cut ( this usually entails a mild trim with scissors) they took a razor around her head and face and it was very uneven. They didn't do her nails, or trim her ears, and she had knots on the back of her leg. To make matters worse when we got home she was walking Weird and you could tell something was bothering her. Turns out they cut her inner thigh, and didn't even tell me ?! I get accidents happen but please let me know. When I called to tell them about my negative experience they didn't offer my money back or anything they just offered to "fix it". I called scoobies and told them about what had happened and they told me to bring her in within the hour. I they were AMAZING. They trimmed her nails, cleaned her ears, and fixed the butchered cut the best they could. And didn't even charge me!! They were so sincere and helpful. They could not believe fancy pets let me walk out with my pupp the way she looked. Do NOT let these reviews fool you. They double book you to make money, always have openings, do a half ass job and frankly just don't care about their customers or more importantly the pupps they care for! I called on Wednesday, easy making an appointment for the Friday of the same week. My hubby and I dropped Hunter off at approx 8:30 am heading out to our favorite local Casino for some R&R of our own. Awesome job on our 3 doggies! Honestly the best grooming we have had for our dogs. Everyone was so nice and seemed to enjoy what they do . Only a semi awkward experience with who I believe to be the owner, he was short with us and seemed irritated when we got there. Not like our less than 20 lb dogs are difficult either... They mentioned a multiple dogs discount when I called, but were never clear about it when I asked upon paying. They said it was up to the owners discretion... I didn't bother asking twice... I had not cut my dogs hair in close to a year so they deserved the full price. Especially because it is way too great of a deal for the quality. Update: 8-16-17 Beyond upset about our last experience here. We made an appt a week in advance for Saturday at 10am. We did not hear from anyone all day and because I was at a funeral; my husband called to find out what was going on, why our 3 dogs were still there at 330. The person who answered the phone said they were so busy "he may as well come get them at 530" when they close!!!! Ok so he gets there and our two smaller dogs are ACTUALLY on the table getting haircuts AT 530 and the slightly bigger dog with short hair didn't even get a haircut because they said he wouldn't let them blow dry him! My husband was still charged for all three dogs full groom and paid $20 for a tip! (Confrontation) is not for him. We already were having a very rough day. I couldn't believe it when I got home and saw our dogs with awful patchy haircuts, nails uncut, and no haircut! And the dog they "couldn't blow dry" was the "ONE WHO WAS THE BEST BEHAVED" per the groomer last time he was in! I'm furious. I will never go back and honestly think we shouldn't have paid a dime! My dogs were kept in a kennel all day for a 10am appointment and were probably freaking out by the time they finally got on the grooming table at 5pm!! What the heck happened! ??? I'm so disappointed and upset that my poor dogs were there ALL day on a weekend day that they usually get to spend with the family who already is gone most of the weekdays! The staff are all very professional and skilled. I have no problem scheduling appointments and they have consistently done excellent work. We have several "special needs" older rescue dogs which I understand can be very difficult. However, they are always kind, patient and tolerant of their "quirks". I just have my dog groomed at Fancy Pets Grooming. As a owner of a Samoyed dog, It is hard to find a good groomer(Samoyed dog is one of the hardest to groom in my opinion). If you watch the video on their website, my dog, Tyler, is the big black labradoodle with the long hair. He was recently a victim of "Covid 19 Hair" as he was due for a bath and haircut right when we went into lockdown. I tried my best to keep him brushed but finally had to give into a mobile groomer who claimed to have labradoodle experience. What a disaster! My family has been bringing their dog to these groomers for three years now. He is an old English sheep dog with a lot of energy. I was told about his anxiety and difficulty with our dog having to either urinate or poop while trying to be groomed, but the owner still took our money, and our dog. Today, we were met with a hostile phone call after what we thought was a normal visit, and were told to never come back. This of course upset my young adult kids, and they went in to give them a piece of their mind. They were even more upset when they saw our dog unfinished, shaking, and bloody all over his front paws. The owner's son who verbally accosted us on the phone even ADMITTED to cutting him, and no apology either. They became very upset when we asked for a refund. The owner and his son are beyond unprofessional, and clearly desperate for money since they continued to see our "horrible" dog, as they said in their words. The mistreatment of our pet was far worse than any F bomb that had been dropped by my family. It's easy to get emotional when it comes to your pets. They are family. If you are concerned with the safety of your dog or cat, and want KIND staff, do NOT go to Fancy Pets. Unprofessional is an understatement. read more

My neighbor referred me to this place because she is a budget conscious person so I always check with her. For $40 each excluding tip, my yorkies get a haircut and nails trimmed. Usually I can get a same day appt on a Saturday, too! The staff is fast, too. My dogs are usually both done in 2-4 hours and that means they stay less panicked about being in with other scared dogs. NEVER AGAIN! I set up an appointment 3 days in advance on a Weds. at 10am. Dropped them off and went on with my work day. At about 2pm (4 HRS AFTER I DROPPED THEM OFF) I decided to head over there to check in figuring they would be done shortly. WRONG!!!!! They hadn't done more then wash them! 4 HOURS AFTER I DROPPED THEM OFF THEY HAD ONLY BEEN WASHED. No cut, no nails clipped, nothing more than a wash. Ok I can understand if it took that long and they where close to being done but they had barely started on the dogs in front of them. Needless to say I took my puppies elsewhere. I had so much hope for this place because of all the great reviews but I was greatly let down. read more

So I have been here three time with three different dogs and have never had a good experience. We show our dogs so they require a particular cut, the groomer was aware of this (it was the same groomer each visit). Our first experience we asked for a show cut and got both dogs back with puppy cuts so we had no shot at winning the show. The second time the groomer decided her fur had more mats than she wants to deal with so she was shaved. We were given the impression it would be a longer shear, close to 1". Not the worst, but certainly not ideal. I have a show in two weeks and will be u able to show her now so we are out showing for a month or two while her hair grows. We brought a male in today for a show cut and the groomer told us he would have to be shaved. He has no mats, his hair is beautiful, just long. We decided not to allow her to cut the dog and picked him up. I won't be back and will actively discourage others from going. If you need a bath and a cut, I'm sure they are fine, if you need a professional go somewhere else. read more

Was 1st appt of morning. I was the first and only one there and greeted by the owner's son whose first words were complaining about being there and how he really doesn't even like this work because of his allergies. Dropped my small dog off and came back 1.5hrs later. Saw my older dog panting quite hard in the kennel. They said they had just finished washing and blow drying him. I saw the cut was not yet done. I was VERY irritated because they had other dogs that were being cut and groomed but I was 1st appt of the morning. When I asked how much longer it would be, the groomers attitude response was, were you promised a time? She then got my dog out of the kennel and proceeded to give the clipper cut. Finished with some scissoring. They did not blow the loose hair off, rinse the hair NOTHING. I may as well have cut my dogs hair myself. When I took my dog in my arms, I was then covered with hair. COVERED!!! The cut was terrible. You could see the long hair that was missed on top of the head and on the legs. She cut the hair on only one side of his face/muzzle. I smiled and paid and walked out. I told my doggie I would NEVER do that to him again. Never have I had such a poor cut and rude customer service from Fancy Pets before. Completely different business since Ron the owner no longer oversees operations. Won't be back. read more
