I have been taking my two dogs to Tempe Dogs 24/7 for a few years now. The whole team is excellent, very attentive, and they truly love dogs so much. Our dogs get enrichment with toy time and treadmills. They also love to attend any and all pool parties. The groomer did not listen to our requests for grooming and shaved our dog's neck/back. We asked for his beard to be trimmed and the hair around his paws and tummy to be cleaned up. He had a beautiful double coat that was shaved down to stubble. He was getting groomed for our wedding and now unfortunately looks nothing like himself for our photos. Very disappointed. Best boarding and daycare in az, my dog hail loves it and the team really cares about all the dogs.

So I decided to give this place a try because the groomer I have been going to for years is in Scottsdale and I don't drive. I asked several queries and told them that I was skeptical about a new groomer but willing to give them a shot. I walked in to pick them up with the cash needed for the grooming plus tip. The guy at the counter randomly charged me $10 more that I didn't have! The groomer came out with my dogs and I told her about it and said she would credit my account the $10 difference. Now for the worst part. That $10 credit is not going to be useful because I will never be back. When the groomer came out, I immediately noticed a nick on my Yorkie's back. She said it was there from before probably from playing. I comb my dog every day and it was not there this morning when I combed him. I got him home and also noticed more razor burn under his left arm. I have never had this experience and I have been getting my dogs groomed for years. Do not take your dogs here! read more

My husband and I really really loved this place for our pups until recently were we were left super disappointed. I have a hyperactive pitbull lab mix that just loves to play. He gets so excited when we pull in knowing we are at daycare.. well, one day I pick him up after receiving a call that he was " Scratched near the eye " while he was playing. I pick him up that day to see his WHOLE eye completely swollen and blood shot. I took him immediately to the emergency vet since it was after hours and was notified this was not a small "scratch" from a playful inter counter like staff stated. My dog also had deep puncture wounds on the size of his face near his mouth. The staff NEVER notified me of an altercation just stated he received this was a "playful session". Well fast forward a week later when my husband goes to drop our dogs off and we were notified our dogs can't enter due to another dog being in the daycare that my male does not get along with.. when was this ever communicated to us? When did our dog have an issue with another dog and we weren't aware? When I called staff to question this and see why we weren't notified our dog had issues with another dog in this facility after paying hundreds at an emergency vet from a "scratched eye" .. staff gave me no response, kept changing the answers and had an attitude. Awful communication. Staff needs to work on being direct with dog owners and upfront of any issues the same day it occurs not a week later. My husband and I invested a lot of time and money into staff for lunches and time for our dogs to play and they couldn't even give us a solid answer. If you are looking for boarding or daycare in the valley DO NOT trust your babies with this facility. Better off finding a sitter on Facebook market place that has better training. read more

If there's any review that you read, please let it be this one. It is not worth the risk to bring your pets here. I am a former vet tech and now an MBAc and senior strategic leader at a nationwide pet care company. When something goes wrong, we make it right, because pets are people's family. Dogs 24/7, on the other hand, has NO IDEA what they're doing. They have no process for investigating pet illnesses (they didn't even know what an ROI was to request my vet records, and had no idea what their business insurance is for), they frequently send pets home sick (according to several former employees), and will ghost you if you have a problem with how they treated your pet. When I picked up my dog after a 2 night, last-minute stay over the New Year's holiday (or else I would have just used the company at which I work), the girl at the desk commented on how tired my dog had been acting that day. I didn't think anything of it because it's an cage-free facility and she was probably getting some exercise. Little did I know, that lethargy was from a severe gastrointestinal allergic reaction that began while my dog was in Dogs 24/7's care. She continued to decline throughout the night, vomiting and becoming pale. I took her to an emergency vet, who confirmed that my dog had gotten into something and had an allergic reaction and she finally came home after a 24-hour stay and a $1,300 vet bill. Dogs 24/7 will not take any responsibility for this, and as I mentioned above, they clearly have NO processes in place for when a dog is injured or becomes ill under their care. All I got was the runaround from several extremely unprofessional "managers" whose goal is clearly to make you feel stupid. I even got an email at one point that said that they would only speak to my lawyer-- I didn't even mention legal action at that point, and I STILL haven't (admission of guilt?). All I expect is for my dog to be healthy when I pick her up from a boarding facility and for the facility to make it right when they could have killed my dog. STAY AWAY. read more

I thought I'd give this place a shot since it had such great ratings and I loved the idea of my dog getting to play 24/7 while he was boarded. Unfortunately, the condition my dog was returned to me was shocking and upsetting. My boyfriend picked my dog up for me on Sunday afternoon, and later that night I noticed several lacerations on each side of my dogs inner thighs, under his left arm, on his outer thigh and chest. The next morning I went back to Tempe Dogs and spoke with the Senior Manager to express my concerns and also show her photos of the cuts on my dog hoping to get an explanation. Her response - "Well you have to understand that dogs rough play and sometimes use their teeth while playing". In addition to her smart ass response, she also said she wasn't there so she couldn't give me any feedback. Instead of being reassured that management truly was concerned about my issue, she apathetically asked for my information and said she would get back to me after she spoke with her staff.  I'm well aware of rough play and what it entails as my dog is a Boxer...all he does is rough play, but the severity of these cuts show that the staff was obviously not attentive to the dogs throughout the duration of their shift. If they find it okay for dogs to "rough play" to the point where a dog receives cuts on multiple parts of his/her body, then thats a problem. I'm typically not one to write negative reviews, but the lack of sincerity this Senior Manager expressed for my dog and myself as an owner, was extremely disheartening.  Oh and by the way, this all happened on Monday. $160 dollar quote turned into almost a $700 experience. 1) OUR DOG CAME HOME SICK!!! $400 vet bill and is still sick and lethargic 7 days later. Had to pick up a new prescription today. Not to mention the anxiety of your dog struggling to breath and being restless throughout night. 2) Misquoted the price to board, close to $100 difference 3) We were told by management that their sales team does not provide quotes over the phone and alluded we were lying. We have been quoted multiple times over the phone and the quoted price was the reason for selecting this facility. 4) Discussed pricing of another visit and were told we must have dropped our dog off at a much later time to get the price we did. Again, alluding that we were lying. We were at an event before the time they are saying we must have dropped out pup off by so not sure how that works.... Most importantly, our dog was not taken care of to our expectations and came home ill. She smelled like pee and was dirty when we picked her up. Dirty I can handle but the urine smell was concerning. Also, not impressed by the management staff to basically wrote us off and say we are lying. Honestly, feel like we could be refunded for the misquote, at the very least, and we were declined this request. What bugs me even more than the declined request (and my sick dog which is the #1 concern) is that they made a mistake and instead of owning it, they just said we were wrong and that it never happened. I wouldn't trust a company with ethics like this with my dry cleaning let alone my wonderful pup. It is unfortunate that honesty is not a company value at this facility and they would rather point fingers than owning a mistake. My pup will never step foot in this facility again and I urge caution to others looking to board here. read more

When my pup got sick and was nervously shaking in the vet office, seeing her former Dogs 24/7 daycare lady greet her went a LONG way to making her feel better. I have never had any hesitation about dropping Lily off at Tempe Dogs (or any of the other 24/7 locations). She is so excited to get out of the car to see her dog (and human friends) and is exhausted when I pick her up after playing all day. It is clear from the staff they love all the dogs that come in. Lie (2) ADDITIONALLY, I thought you told me your staff said they never quoted me over the phone,yet you're on here telling me that now they quoted me over the phone? NOR was I quoted multiple prices. The sole reason I went with you Al was because of the price quote for what I asked for which was DOG BOARDING since I was going to be out of state (again sounds like your staff members are also liars) Lie (3) You have said I have been reached out by management, yet the only THREE conversations I have had is with you, and no resolution has been made. Boarded my dog here for a couple days while I went on a trip. The introduction meeting was great and it seemed promising as the people were very nice and answered all questions well. When I came to pick up my dog he seemed fine, a little stressed out but otherwise good. That night I noticed that he was hacking and had difficulty breathing. Turns out he got kennel cough from his stay, and unfortunately when we brought him home he gave it to my boyfriends dog as well. Definitely was not expecting for my dog to get sick, especially since everyone is required to show their vaccination records. Was hopeful that this was going to be a place where I could continue to take my dog, but now definitely not. Overall a disappointing experience. read more

First time client of this location and not coming back. Workers were very kind and made my dog feel safe but after it all went downhill. Took my dog to get a bath and brush. The bath wasn't done well as I noticed dirt still on her (I figured this would happen because it only took them less than 10 minutes). I was told that they only dried her body but not her face as she was uncomfortable with the blow drier. No problem on that part. As I got her into my vehicle her paws were soaked. This left dirty wet paw prints in my tan interior of my car. When I got home I had to clean up the interior of my car. I decided to take a closer look at her and that's when I noticed she wasn't brushed or her ears cleaned. Definitely expected my dog would look amazing and spotless for the price I paid which was $48 bucks and was told that they weren't busy at all. This is double the amount of what I pay at PETSMART. My dog has been attending this place since the beginning of this year. Started at the Phoenix location then came here to the tempe because of distance. I was thankful to find a solution for my dog since he hates being alone. I was also a little suspicious in the beginning because the first tour I got at another location let me go out to see where the dogs played outside but tempe location let me see how they separate them in different rooms. I understood that I couldn't go out back when they told me they didn't want to get the dogs all riled up but it was just weird that they had to also announce a visitor was here when the other one didn't need to do that. My dog was always so happy to see me & he seemed to love specific people (he LOVES Sadie). Then about two weeks ago I met up with someone who happened to work for a few dog 24/7 places. When I told them about how I take my dog to the tempe location their face got a little worried. Then they said "I wouldn't take your dog there" I asked them why & they said that no one really stays in the rooms with the dogs, some dog's eat the poop that's there or drink the pee, & that there's rusted metal that looks like an accident waiting to happen. What really made up my mind about taking my dog back or not was when they said "I'm just waiting for the news of a dog dying there" I was in shock, extremely sad, & felt guilty that I continued to take my dog there even after I had a weird gut feeling when I switched to this location. My dog would stay for about 8 hours because he freaks out, cries, and hates being alone. However I would rather take my chances & pay more for a dog sitter than be the owner of the dog that this person hears about dying or getting sick because no one is watching. It all started making sense when they said no one watches them because I remember a time I got a call from them saying they were closing at 9 & if I was heading to pick him up. I told the worker "Yes! I just got off work only 10 minutes away" & he replied saying it's ok he just KNOWS that my dog stays overnight. Never have I ever left my dog past maybe 10. Considering he might be thinking of another dog maybe, but it's still just clicked in my head that they probably just don't watch or keep track of these dogs like they should. I appreciate SOME workers there (like Sadie) but others need to start having a better way of talking to people. There was times I went in to drop off or pick up my dog & the same people just rubbed off the wrong way. I understand I may be coming off a bit dramatic to some, but my dog has been my happiness since I got him. Without him I feel like half my world is gone & I would hate for it to be in hands of a company I should trust. read more

I have been taking my two pups to Tempe Dogs since they opened and had been a customer at Gilbert Dogs for several years before that. My dogs are so excited to go there and come home exhausted from all the play. I know that my pups will be well taken care of and that I can call to get an update while I am away. They really take those extra steps to give my pups a good stay when I am gone for an extended time. While I was out of town last Christmas they took both my pups out for walks so that they could get in some sniffing and outdoor fun time. I can't wait for the backyard to be finished there since it will be that extra piece that I think has been missing. No business is perfect, but how they respond to questions or concerns is key to deciding if I keep giving someplace my business. The few times I have had concerns or questions they have responded quickly and either addressed my concern or provided me with more information. read more

So we originally brought our dog here to get groomed last year around this same time of year, and it came out awful... nothing we expected. He ended up coming out bald down to the skin everywhere, even on his face and ears. The management reached out to us, offering to fix his haircut (which we used this time), and this time around, it came out A LOT better and even our pup is happy with it we will definitely be returning customers as long as the grooming stay consistent! Just for context, this happened last year. There may have been a different set of staff than there is now. This post is far late and I wish I would've done it sooner but I've been trying to make excuses because there were some things I did like about this place. First and foremost, there aren't many 24/7 daycares for those of us who work 12+ hours a day. Secondly, the staff was always friendly! Lastly, they were willing to work with me by not charging me boarding prices because my work hours exceeded the normal daycare hours. That was very nice of them, but there are some things that I couldn't ignore any longer... So, my dog was bitten twice here on two separate occasions while at daycare. The first time was on his elbow of his front right arm. He was limping and it got worse by the day. I wasn't really sure what it was. By day two, his elbow was the size of a baseball. Took him to the vet and they confirmed it was a bite. That was nearly $1600. I didn't say anything because it's a daycare and sometimes dogs play rough and it wasn't exactly in a spot that was easy to see. The next time he was bitten, the front desk called and told me he had gotten scratched on the back of his neck. I picked him up and fluid was coming out of it. I took him to the vet, once again and the vet confirmed it was a bite and showed me the puncture wound. Another $500...This tells me a couple of things about this establishment...they lie, they don't have enough staff, or they don't have properly trained staff to care for all of the dogs. If you have a high energy dog, I'd be careful bringing your dog here. My dog is also no longer welcome here because he was "too aggressive." What ever happened to the other dogs that he had altercations with? Just FYI there are no incident reports at this place when I asked for a copy of it read more

I left my dog here for a few days, and after picking her up, she looked like she hadn't eaten the whole stay. She was acting very abnormal. She also had a cough and cold that lasted for days. She looked and smelt awful as if she was bathing in pee/poop then just carelessly handed back off to me like it was no big deal. Called asking about my dog and they had no clue who my dog even was. Carelessness Won't be bringing my dog back ever again and recommend the same for everyone else read more

We took our puppy here twice when he was 5 and 6 months old. The first time, they were nice but didn't offer a walk through or anything and rushed him into the back room, which was odd. When I picked him up he was timid and soaking wet, to the point where I was wondering if they had a pool. He got EXTREMELY sick following this visit. Within a few days he had extreme diarrhea and vomiting multiple times a day. Not immediately thinking that Tempe dogs could be the cause, we took him back for another play date. When we got there, he was terrified to go back into the room. The man who was taking him back started to drag him (I've heard they do this to almost every dog). He was happier when I picked him up but once again, he got extremely sick with the same exact symptoms. With confirmation from the vet, we are positive that Tempe dogs caused him to become sick twice and sick puppies are not cheap. We won't be returning to Tempe dogs. We have since moved to camp bow wow, where they are extremely clean, properly introduce new dogs, and have cameras for you to ensure the safety of your pup. read more

My dog loves this daycare and most of the staff are wonderful. However, trying to get a bath for your pup is a nightmare. The monthly package is supposed to include 4 free baths, but the staff neglects to do them so frequently that never happens. Only 4 of the last 10 have been done when requested and three of those I had to call prior to pickup to nag. It shouldn't be such a big deal but it has been a problem for the past 3 years that nobody cares to address. read more
