We called ahead to see if she could accommodate our group of 6, and she prepared the place for us. She was so gracious, kind and caring towards our group but most importantly, our friend. I ordered a hairpiece myself for $250 and it was a basic stock knotted unit most people use. Probably similar to what she uses and she gets a discount. $250 is about the running price online. No supplier is very obviously superior to another, same materials and craftsmanship. It's just human hair on poly. Chrissy said she uses 4 suppliers. You can get custom virgin European hair double knotted with bleached knots for maybe $400-$600 but it'll take a few months to arrive and those pieces are rarely used. Custom is common for like $50-$100 more, but cheaper colored Indian hair is typically used. Anyway Chrissy charges $999 for it. Chrissy lists a hair cut in service for $450 on her site. Many stylists charge $70-$90 for that but I'd be willing to pay a few hundreds bucks extra for a quality job. But when I got there she said she will only cut in a piece ordered from her, and you can imagine the markup. She pretty much said she doesn't want to have a client she makes any less money on because she has enough that she does, so our consultation was about 5 minutes. And that's fine, she has a right to charge a premium for her services. Just be prepared to buy about 2-4 pieces per year at $1500 each, as well as the regular clean and cut services. And she's not the only one charging this too, by the way. She did sort of mention something like a monthly membership deal exactly like Hair Club for Men, but we didn't really discuss it and I might have misheard her on that.

I appreciated the private rooms. I was nervous going in but the stylist was friendly. I had been bald for so long I forgot what it was like to chit chat with a hair stylist. It did drastically change my appearance though which I was not quite ready for. Apparently all hairpieces are a little poofy at first and take a week or two to settle in too. The stylist knew the exact length and density that would work best and said I could come back later if I wanted changes. And she also answered any questions I had well. I communicated or had consultations with the major "hair clubs" in town and for me, I have to say 10x this was the best option.

I grew my hair out and waited for the right time to part with my hair so I could donate it. I went online and scheduled my appointment on their website. They were able to squeeze my daughter in for a haircut, too. My daughter wanted a trendy shag mullet cut and our stylist did a great job creating what she wanted. My haircut turned out great. The stylists were so friendly and the atmosphere was so relaxed and comfortable. Thank you Carolyn Anderson Salon for a fabulous experience!
