I needed to move my order up earlier than I had expected. I called and Jane answered and told me that it would not be a problem and that it would be ready by the time I got there. It was hot and ready when I walked in the door. The food is always delicious and food today is no different. Weather take out or eat in, it's always warm and welcoming with friendly people. The food here is fantastic!!! The people are incredibly sweet and the atmosphere is fun! They feature local artist work amongst others. There's more seating in the back outside in a lovely covered courtyard. I had a delicious spring soup with collards and beans and a side salad. The soup was delicious. They have a variety of salads like chicken, grape, broccoli, the list keeps going. The turkey bacon ranch wrap has been highly recommended by manly, and picky patrons alike. They don't have liquor. I drank the water and it's infused with fruit, yummy. They catered for friends and it was very professional and the food was amazing as usual. We had pork medallions that everyone was asking for the recipe for! The bakery items are to die for! Visited Fannie's on my way home after spending a day in town for work. All I had was a dark chocolate chip and sea salt cookie, but it was the perfect pick-me-up for the drive home! Fannie's is a really pretty little cafe. They were doing good business with a bunch of nice-sounding ladies when I rolled up at around 3:30. An older woman with some of the most stunning blue eyes I've ever seen very kindly greeted me and politely asked for me to hold on while she finished getting their food out. No problem there. I browsed the lunch menu and felt sad that I wouldn't be have an opportunity to return and try their soups and sandwiches (I'll be moving away very soon). They do look delicious! The cookie was brought out to me with the note that it was fresh out of the oven. Super exciting! I spoke with the lovely cashier for a moment or two longer before heading out on the road. I wouldn't have bothered to mention the name of the cookie so specifically (dark chocolate chip and sea salt), but this cookie was remarkable in that it really DID encompass all those flavors. The dark chocolate was subtly bitter against the brown sugary goodness, and I did get a few bites that were bursting with a delightful sharp saltiness. A really, really good cookie, marred only slightly by the fact that it was just the tiniest bit underbaked. While I probably won't get an easy chance to revisit Fannie's, I have to recommend that you do, if you get the opportunity! read more

Awesome place to eat with a trendy vibe. This place has a deli like menu that consists of soups, sandwiches, and salads. They also offer smoothies, scones, and muffins. I tried their bacon cheddar scone and it was sooooo good. I also tried their turkey bacon and ranch sandwich and was impressed with it as well. The staff here are very welcoming. I was very happy with my lunch and will be back often to enjoy the menu. read more

I'm in town visiting family and was in desperate need of a coffee shop... found it on yelp and then a friend confirmed they would probably have what I'm looking for... so I went yesterday and today lol. So far, I've only got the coffee and it's delicious! But also the customer service is wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is great. I've gotta go back and try the food before I leave town. Oh also, they even have Apple Pay which I love! Give this place a try... even if it's just for a coffee to go. Several of us made the trip to Fannie's last night and it was well worth the drive from Tuscaloosa! We had been there previously for lunch and enjoyed that so much we wanted to try the Friday night dinner. It was a great decision! I had the 12 ounce ribeye....perfectly cooked..with brussel sprouts and a simple side salad. My dining companions had a chicken entree..cleaned her plate and sang the chefs praises...as did the other guests that had the Ahi tuna. Everything was prepared perfectly. The desserts too many to list were all a big hit as well. On the trip home we all expressed our desire to have such a place as Fannie's in Tuscaloosa. Fayette has a gem with this little piece of heaven! Give it a try lunch or Friday dinner. You won't be disappointed!!! read more

It's owned by truly local people who care about you and the freshest local ingredients. Before or after you eat, stop by The Charming Cottage right next door for all your gift needs!
