If you have thick hair stay away from here. She will just butcher it up. Unfortunately, Le doesn't understand how much to thin out and she certainly doesn't know how to shape it either. I read that this place is a hidden gem. And it is! It's easy to get an appointment, but they also welcome walk-ins. Lee cut my hair and she was really efficient. She had some suggestions that I hadn't thought of before and I love how it turned out! You can't beat the price either. $25 is almost unheard of these days! Overall, great staff and great service. She chopped hair TOO SHORT! I took my 12 years old son this place to get a haircut and wish I hadn't. The owner (she claimed) of the salon has my son seated in her chair and asked me how I wanted with his haircut. I said I wanted a scissor cut, close on the back and sides and leave it an inch and a half long on top. She completely ignored what I told her and cut it too short all over he looked like as if he was in a boot camp. read more

Worse hair salon. I've never been so badly treated and talked down to by a hairdresser. This woman, Lee, all she cares about is getting as many customers (preferably men) as possible in the hour so she can make more $. "If I only take men, I can do $100/hr". Just have to give a review. Never done before. Li cut my hair for the first time and I told her to cut it like I was her dad. She smiled and gave me the greatest cut I've had for a long time. I have pure white hair, a mustache and goatee. She trimmed by eyebrows without me asking. She and I chatted very little. Charge $18 , had to give her a tip..even though she seemed surprised. 2nd trip she chatted but you see I talk to everyone and never keep my mouth shut. She was so pleasant and again I got her to smile several times. Another great cut $18 3rd trip today...I called to let her know what time I'd be there although no reservation. My ride was 15 minutes late, called Li told her I was running late...she said 'no problem' This is the kicker! My hair was twice as long as it has ever been. I said you "probably know what to do" and she went right to work. Didn't chat this time and I didn't want to offend her. She took her time...a longer time this time because of all my hair...cut it perfect, eye brows, gave me a shave and trimmed my mustache and goatee. All on her own and my charge was $18. I was blown away with how she treated me. I gave her a good tip this time and told I'd be back again. 3 trips..no wait..excellent haircut and trim..same price. Lee cut her hair and did a great job. Lee was very thorough and ensured that my mom's angled bob was perfect. She straightened my mom's hair as she went and this made for a very precise cut. I don't normally color my hair (too cheap) but I decided to on a whim a few months ago and it turned out awful. Covered it with a box and went to see Li to get it legitimately fixed. She stayed open for me way past closing and did a great job. I'm now back to somewhat my natural color (with a little oomf :) ) and have a great cut to go with it! She's definitely not a chit chatter which I found extremely refreshing. It's not an awkward silence but more of a "I'm working" silence so there's no pressure to have an empty conversation. Great place - I've been coming here for years. Le does a great job working quick but never to compromise quality. The hours are convenient as I get out of work late and while the parking is usually very full due to the neighboring businesses I've always been able to find a space. A few years ago I discovered a hair stylist like no other. The reason is that she is very meticulous. Her name is Le and I have followed her from one of the chains to this location (her own store) . This woman isn't in a hurry and she knows what she's doing and clearly takes pride in her work. Her prices are very reasonable which, (to be honest) was one of the main initial attractions. Her shop is always clean and cheery. It is very convenient for me because I live in Wells Branch. It seems like she never closes... I know I've been there even on Sunday. I got there at 6:40p on Saturday and the door was locked even though Yelp says it closes at 8, the Asian lady came out and let me in. I was really thankful she let me in anyway and cut my hair even when she had her stuff already packed. I cut quite a lot of hair, went for a shorter (Vanessa Hudgens/Selena Gomez) hairdo. She flat ironed my hair and then used an electric razor for men's cuts and surprisingly did very well. I thought she was gonna speed through it and not care, but she was speedy and even asked if I wanted it textured so she did that for me as well. I'll go back here, it was $20. Lee (the owner) is all business. We chatted briefly while she gave me a trim and layers; if you don't feel like chatting though, she's happy to style in silence (which I know many people would appreciate!) She set about to cut my hair and I could tell right away that I was in good hands. I asked her how long she's been in business - seven years - then how long she'd been cutting hair: "Forever," she said with a laugh. I was looking for a quick haircut on a Sunday before going out of town and my regular stylist was on vacation. In 15 minutes, she gave me one of the best haircuts I've had in a long while. The best part? Instead of $60 it cost me $20 for the same results. While waiting (I was a walk-in and the last customer of the day), I saw her do a dye job, perm and a very good "fade" for a male customer as well. I think she tried, but I asked for a couple inches of layers, and instead ended up with 8 inches of 80s-style feathering. A little rude at first but warmed up. Misleading $25 for women price. That's for short hair. Long hair is actually $35. For that price I could have gotten a Groupon and gone to a nice salon. The hair will grow back. I wish her the best of luck. read more
