Mong was very efficient at my pedicure. The 'tickling' wasn't too bad. I can now walk around in my zorries (flip-flops for you pagans; slippahs for you Hawai'ians) https://hawaiioceanproject.com/a-brief-history-of-slippahs-in-hawaii/ . Plus a nice manicure. Got the nails buffed 'cause the clear polish cracks too soon from my lack of work. Mahalo to Juanita for recommending Mong.

I've been in a handful of times. The first two visits were forgettable, neither great nor horrible. The third was not a pleasurable experience as I was rushed and treated as though my nail tech expected a low or no tip off me. (I tend to frequent in comfy clothes so I can relax. FYI: I am a very generous tipper and tip 25%+ on most services. I will avoid said tech going forward.) My fourth visit was MEMORABLE! Billy did a great job on my full acrylic and gel set. I will be back.

Luis is my favorite nail tech to go to. All you have to do is show him a picture of what you want and he puts his best effort to make it exactly like that. It was hard for me to find someone i liked to do my nails ( I'm from New York ) but he is the best nail tech in 29 palms The nail salon is clean , the staff is friendly! Make sure you schedule an appointment before hand because they get really busy sometimes lol Oh just a little note - it's expensive for a gel pedicure 25 for the basic pedicure and 15 for the gel. Luis is my go-to nail technician. Whenever I come in I always ask for the most complicated styles that take a little longer to achieve than just color (refer to my glitter flake nails, that's not a polish, he put them on individually) And he always takes his time to ensure that he achieves my desired look, and he does. The salon is very clean and organized and the staff is friendly as well. I'm always greeted with smiling faces and we have the funniest conversations together. A very friendly spa (: love them~

The nail design was okay, although my naps starting chipping 4 days later. No the paint either, the actual acrylic. They chipped of 7 days later and this is what I'm left with! I want a refund! Not even two weeks of having them. The acrylic hurt so bad and my cuticles are really raw.

Worst nail salon ever $30 for a shitty pedicure and $20 for a manicure with bubbles in them definitely won't be returning.

I was badly in need of a manicure and I just walked in the spa and didn't have to wait very long. I had very uneven short nails that break often the woman who waited on me had several suggestions for long heart nails, and when she was done with them, they were beautiful! I've been having my nails done at Fantistic nails for a few months. I love their work. Luis get my nails in tip top shape. He always matches the style of the photo I share, or vibe I'm looking for. I've also had pedicures by a few people and all of them have been wonderful! It is cash only. I appreciate them having an ATM on-site for when I fail to plan ahead. read more

i have been going to this salon for 10 years, i had a scheduled appointment and when i arrived he had just started on a customer, was informed that i would have to wait an hour or come back, i am never late and always tip, my tech is on vacation so had to use billy, i left when i called 5 min later was told they could not accommodate me.. billy did this set 14 days ago and i already have 4lifting nails!! literally the worst customer service!!! sorry luane i will not be returning, also its cash only so they must be not claiming all the business they do on their taxes.. read more

Luis is my favorite nail tech to go to. All you have to do is show him a picture of what you want and he puts his best effort to make it exactly like that. It was hard for me to find someone i liked to do my nails ( I'm from New York ) but he is the best nail tech in 29 palms The nail salon is clean , the staff is friendly! I just got charged $20 for gel polish on a $45 dollar pedicure. Making it $65 total. Not to mention the fact he didn't clean out under my nails, trim them or anything. I'm now at home with my own foot mask on finishing the job he didn't do! This business also operates as VIP Nails in 29 Palms. The only reason I made an appointment here is because I thought this wasn't the same place. I would have left however I didn't have time to get an appointment somewhere else. They are rude and do terrible work! I've gotten my nails done here too,they did horrible work. I then had to go to another place to get them fixed because they told me I was wrong and wouldn't do anything to correct the situation. Overall, I guess it's a small price to pay because they have guaranteed I will never recommend anyone to them and I will never return!! if I could give zero stars I would!! read more

I'm new to the area and this was my first time going to this salon. My boyfriend and I got pedicures. We weren't told they were only taking cash until after our services were done. I made an appointment for two pedicures. Yet they started my boyfriend's pedicure around 20 minutes after mine. So what was the point of making the appointments. The woman who did my boyfriends feet totally butchered his toes. More than half of his toes were bleeding when we walked out. He said his entire pedicure was painful and now his toes will hurt for the next few days. My nail tech did a decent job. Although i would have preferred if he hadn't coughed on my feet multiple times. Considering it was $40 each, I'm pretty disappointed and will find a different salon for next time. read more

Man, I want to like this place because they are always open and they're RELATIVELY clean. But every time I've set foot in this nail salon I've been let down. I've had nail techs do an absolute shoddy job on basic acrylics (one lady tried the whole, "you're nail grows crooked" nonsense) I've had my lashes done there only for the lashes to fall out the N E X T day...and they only accept cash. We all know why they do that--to collect on ATM fees, avoid credit/debit fees, and probably not claim everything they make. Honestly, everything about this place sucks. read more

My pedicure turned out beautiful, but the young lady who did it never smiled and was very abrupt with her instructions with me ! Usually, the person who does your pedicure will put your sandals back on, so you don't smear the polish they put on! This time she just said to put my own sandals on! She needs to work on be more personable with her customers! She acted like she hated being there! read more

They brought me right in as walk in for manicure with buffing on a Saturday morning. Great job removing cracked and dry cuticles, massage, and multiple passes on buffing. Clean place. Highly recommend. read more

I highly recommend both VIP Nails and Fantastic NaiIs for a wide array of excellently provided services I have recieved from the owners, HELEN and MINDY !! @ VIP Nails my nail techs name was HELEN, she was very kind and she took her time and made sure I was happy with my nails, I can honestly say I was ABSOLUTELY overjoyed with how they turned out! She did them EXACTLY as I wanted... perfect length, perfect shape and perfect color... She was patient and precise and I couldn't ask for more in a nail tech! Thank you Helen! @ Fantastic Nails my eyelash techs name was MINDY, I have gotten cluster eyelash extensions done here twice and both times she has made the experience a pleasant one! It has been awhile since I've had my nails done here as I was faithfully seeing a military wife who was the epitome of professional and talent. Albeit, now that she is PCSing I'm back to square one of trying to find a proper nail salon. What a TERRIBLE experience I had. I can probably write a novel on how awful my time here was, so I'll just leave two points. 1) IF YOU GO SMOKE A CIGARETTE DON'T LET YOUR CUSTOMER HAVE TO TELL YOU TO WASH YOUR HANDS UPON RETURNING, LEE! 2) If you don't know how to properly provide a service or know the basics of how the application process works then let another employee who is more educated than yourself do the work. Employees working with the public, and in the cosmetology industry shouldn't be so blatantly unsanitary. read more

Do not go here, they don't respect appointments or your time. My wife has gone in twice after scheduling an appointment, to only be met by the rude owner telling her she doesn't have an appointment and to wait an hour. Both times after waiting an hour the gels peeled off the next day and bubbled 2 days later due to bad prep work. Drive a little further and go to Queen nails in yucca valley. A much better overall experience with a cleaner facility. read more

balled my eyes out when i left. nails were SO short after i asked for long ones bc he kept adjusting the lengths. Lines were unclean. took an hour and a half to complete and then charged me $70 for french tips!!!! read more

After reading the reviews online I decided to give this place a try and let me tell you I was not disappointed, I came in around 12:30 and Billy told me it would be about a 30 minute wait which was not bad at all, i liked the fact that a few ppl came in with appts and where seen at there schedule times. Loanne took me in for my fill she did exactly what I asked for shes great and id highly recommend them i will definitely be returning ive tried several places in the area and this is definitely one of the best read more

Cute spot. However very busy. I would not suggest if you're looking to get a quick mani or pedi. However they are very sweet people. While getting a pedi one time the guy didn't want me to ruin my toes and gave me some sandals. It's been a very long time since I got a pair of those from a nail shop hahaha read more

My daughters went in for gel Manicures and got the rudest treatment, this business tried to the point of practically bullying them into an up sale. But my girls didn't give in lol. Then had the nerve to complain that they weren't talking enough to each other saying "why did we sit you next to your friend if your not going to talk!" What the hell is that about? And a manicurist was apparently eating her lunch while doing my oldest daughters nails! It's called a lunch break for a reason lady! In OC the nail salons hold themselves to a higher standard y'all might learn a thing or two by looking into how proper nail salons treat their clients! I am VERY picky when it comes to picking out nail salons especially here in Twentynine Palms. I usually go to Tip Top nails in Tustin, CA, but because I hate the drive, I tried this place out! Let me tell you! This place was phenomenal! The setting is nice, the place is super neat and clean, and everyone there was a true professional. Billy was the one that helped me out! And he was AMAZING with my nails! He even hooked me up and suggested I'd keep my long natural nails and just put a small coat of acrylic powder so I wouldn't have to spend extra $$ for a full set! And MAN, HE. HOOKED. ME UP! I even showed him a design I wanted and made it look super nice! I will definitely be coming back here, no question about that! read more

This is the first place that I've tried in 29 so I don't have much to compare to here BUT I know what I like and when I get a good set and this is a good one. The lady that did my nails took her time and was very gentle ( didn't have any cuts at the end which I'm sad to say is an accomplishment lol) 40$ for a full gel set.. about 5 dollars less than I usually pay so not bad! I've come here 3 times now and every time has been wonderful. It's clean, and has a ton of options as far as what you can get. I've done gel twice and a drip powder mani once--my nails honestly have never looked so good! I've seen people leave with everything from non polished acrylic to look like natural nails to crazy designs, which I have no creativity to ask for, lol. the prices are also SO affordable!! I absolutely LOVE my nails! I got an amazing gel manicure (my first gel nail ever). So we didn't make an appointment just walked in (it was a last minute decision) and we're seated immediately. If he wants to work in an environment where you have to help the customer, he needs to check himself. I've been here multiple times and have never been treated with disrespect like this guy disrespected me. Especially in front of other customers.

So it was my 1st time yesterday here drove 25mins but it was worth it shout out to johnny and sandy I'm very picky about my nails and my nail designs but Sandy did an awesome job I Google the picture I wanted I showed her she did exactly what I asked for it was like the coolest nail shop I ever went to everybody was friendly they were joking I felt very relaxed and didn't feel like I was there for 3 hours even though I got a spa pedicure also that was bomb i will be going back... When I imagine a nail salon in 29 Palms I thought It was going to be a typical rundown facility, but no that wasnt the case. It was clean, modern, and felt like I was in an actual spa. Absolutely amazing job! I wanted Minnie Mouse nails and that's exactly what I got, they are adorable! I had two nails that had cracked in the corner and I asked if they would need to cut it and she said no! We will keep your nail and just put a small amount of powder on it to ensure it didn't break later. Very professional and the place is really clean :) will be going back. read more

All I can say is I feel like I've been ripped off. Had the 30 dollar pedi but didn't want the leg massage or the stone treatment just the feet done. It still took an hour and then he charged me the full 30 dollars plus 15 dollars for gel polish, I will be sticking to queen nails in yucca valley, after all they are the best and they don't overcharge. read more

This is the only place I trust to touch my nails. I get my nails, eyebrows and eyelashes done whenever I come here. The customer service is great and the quality far surpasses the inexpensive price. A lady, Sandy, with great skills and a funny personality made me fall in love with my nails! She also was quick and efficient. Whereas other salons take about 2 hours for one set, she accomplished doing two amazing sets in about an hour and a half. Definitely worth 5 stars ! read more
