The shop is small and the staff didn't look up when I came in. They spoke to the regulars and chastised a customer for opening a bagged back issue but it was otherwise silent. They have the comics on racks separated by companies but no New Release section for monthly comics. It made browsing kind of difficult. I bought a trade paperback, a reprint floppy and a monthly issue of a new series. The tpb shelves were packed too tight in some places so there were pressure points on some of the books. I did appreciate the amount of ABSOLUTES and oversized hardcovers, though. Overall, I would go back again but I don't know that I would go out of my way.

One of the neat things about this particular store is that they sell a small selection of new comic books over by the magazine rack.

I brought my turntable to Speaking Volumes for turntable speed adjustment. Spoke with a very nice…read moreyoung man. Came back when it was finished. Brought it home and found the tone arm lifter had a part broken off. They replace it with a cheap piece that doesn't work. So I phoned Speaking Volumes. The store owner got on the phone and started yelling at me. I was stunned. He told me to go to hell if I didn't like what he did. Nice. He told me to never come back. My advice is to go anywhere else to have your audio equipment repaired. You'll be glad you did.
