Staff are terrible and will violate your privacy. I had just gotten into a booth and it took me a little to get situated and get my wallet out, maybe half a minute to a minute max. In that time a staff person knocked on the door and just opened it with no warning. I was literally feeding the bill into the machine when he did. He had long hair, facial hair, and said I needed to be paying. I go there to be discreet so I didn't even try to explain it, because I didn't want to chance making a scene. I made this account just to give the owner feedback. Of course people need to pay, and to open the door like that without warning is completely unacceptable given the nature of that place. Today I cam in and there was A new person working who asked me for my ID which normally wouldn't be a problem however my wallet was stolen this week and I haven't gotten my new ID yet. So impressed by both Fantasy Sandy that I may have gotten a little too comfortable. There extreme professionalism is why I am writing the formal review. The staff there is probably the most understanding and patient collective that I have ran a crossed at the adult bookstore. Management has done a great job with product placement and training and each member of the team is well tiered like the different levels of the store. I may still owe you guy a face to face apology but I think cash flow and tip may be more appropriate. The lighting in the store is very effective and the rear entry is very dramatic. lol. This is the type of establishment you want to feel comfortable in. You want to not feel embarassed or ashamed for what you are looking at, buying, walking out with or walking in hoping to find. Societally we have been so conditioned to feel that way that places like this carry a heavy burden to overcome... The people who work there: To the employees yes it's just work and they do it day in and day out, but they are professionally trained staff with sex positive attitudes and the information to find you what you are looking for while being humble enough to ask for help if what you need is not in their knowledge base. Fantasy does something a lot of adult stores fail to do, and that is hire a diverse group of people with different skill sets, knowledge bases, genders, sexual orientations and backgrounds so that you the customer can find someone to work with that you are comfortable with. Now mind you, they can't always nail this match but they try to in all that they do. How it's different: It's not the Mac Store of adult shops but it's also not trying to be. There is a place and time for that kind of suburban comfort of polish and plastic in your toys and consumables shopping experience for sure. But Fantasy is aimed at the general public, people who need less of a consumerism driven store front and more of a selection, knowledge, diversity and really gets into any and all fetish gear while still offering the perfectly pleasant vanilla toys and lube. Offering things others don't: Even the arcade booths offered at some locations, while certainly not all clientele's cup of tea is done thoughtfully and designed for private or non private experience. They are cleaned regularly, updated content often and when things go down they fix them quickly thanks to a staff that cares and knows how each and every location is different and has it's own needs. The general wrap up: Now mind you they are trying to offer a wide array of price points and products. It is a no returns policy type of store and for good reason, would you want a dildo you knew had been to someone's home but the "swore" they hadn't used it? NO! You wouldn't! So appreciate the protection they try to offer and accept it's limitations. The biggest gripe I hear is folks feeling they paid to much for a product that didn't end up working out for them. What the heck are the folks below complaining about? You bought a vibrator, took it out of the store, and were surprised when they woudln't take it back. I went into this store with my husband tonight's to pick up a collar for myself. I felt very uncomfortable considering that I got approach 3 times to ask if I needed help when I didn't ask for it or need it. I think that's excessive. I came to this store after the toy I wanted at the Tigard location didn't work when they tested it. Staff here opened the toy they had in stock, tested it, and put it on hold for me before I schlepped all the way up there. Staff there is super friendly, and while I didn't go into the arcade or any of the booths, the bathroom, which I did use, was very clean and well-stocked. I went there just a few weeks ago, and, while they were kind of stuffed into a corner, there was a large selection of shoes. So maybe they were just understocked when user Jazz Y. was there. Another thing I liked at the Sandy location is the staff there is really LGBTQ friendly. The staff at Tigard weren't homophobic by any stretch of the imagination,but maybe not exactly knowledgeable. The only downside to this location- space. I'm a pretty big guy and I felt like a bull in a china shop trying to weave through the racks of clothes and stuff. Real estate on Sandy Blvd. is expensive, though, so I guess that can't really be helped. I lied; there's one more downside. Unless you know EXACTLY what you're looking for, this place is really easy to miss.
