Came here for the Tuesday burger special. Can't beat a burger, fries and a beer for $10! Not bad at all! Burger was cooked perfectly. The fries are good and the only thing I will say is they should give you an option other than just Budweiser and Bud Light. This is a very small casino in Coachella. I don't come here too often but when I do, it's always a good time. Ambience is mixed, but if you go to the bar on a weekend night there's a lot of drunk and younger people sometimes which is a little annoying because they sit at the bar and don't let people gamble. And depending on who your bartender is, it's a hit or miss... there are some friendly ones and there's some that walk by you 10 times before they take your order. Today was the most embarrassing situation that have been encountered there at the casino with one of the employees who was the only person that was in charge name Jennifer. So today I got the earlybird special 50%. Is my second time going to this place. so I wanted at first to have a takeout which I couldn't do because of it's a dine in for the percentage that we get out 50% so I got a menu that they gave me. I I am thinking I could order whatever and so I did got a freedom. Come to find out that I was only able to choose from four items or four plates never got that menu and was told that I needed to pay the full amount with food that I just got I didn't have the money at the time. I was told that I would be escorted out and not able to go back if I don't go back and pay the nine dollars that I had left and not be able to go back for 30 days. This was the most embarrassing moment of my life, but it wasn't my fault if I would've known if I would have the money in front of me, I would have ordered my 50% off and I would have the five dollars to give them for my mail and I was still told that I had to pay for it. Earns a points, go up to the promotions desk To get the prize that I earned and they said they were out! I have observed over the past months a decreasing level of customer service that starts with seating and continues on through an order being taken. Once the order is accomplished through the food being served everything is good or better. Unfortunately, today is the LAST day I will be going to Augustine and I shall be spreading the word. I arrived waiting to be seated with no one in line in front of me, at approximately 11:45 a.m. The restaurant was maybe 20% full with some staff working and others idling. The hostess was gabbing away on what appeared to be a personal call for several minutes while being well aware I was waiting as she was looking at me. After several minutes of waiting, she finally got off her phone call, began to approach me (presumably to seat me), and then when two other people came out of no where, were not in line behind me, and did not attempt to get in line, the hostess immediately attended to them, directed her attention away from me, and ignored me. After several more minutes of being ignored, I left the facility and got a good look of the surroundings since I will never be back. There are many restaurants in the Valley. read more

We drove down from Oakland to check out the salton sea. At the end of the day, we needed to get something to eat. The first thing we did was check out reviews and menus in the area, and came across the augustine. Walked into the augustine casino to get dinner - we both decided on prime rib. Everything was fabulous!!! Our server Brittany was AMAZING! the prime rib was stellar. My fries......PERFECT (I'm dutch, so I am picky about my frites! lol). Just a quick update to my review from 11 years ago, which is still pretty accurate except I didn't eat during this trip. Still a fairly clean casino that looks new. What I didn't realize until I got home was, I didn't notice anyone smoking! This is a huge plus for me. I'm honestly not sure if I was just lucky or if they went non-smoking, but that alone is almost worth the trip. I found a really good mix of newer and older machines. Plus, I actually left with more money that I started. Came close to a hand pay on one machine, but I was actually glad I didn't cross over to the tax form land. They don't have table games, which isn't bad, just be aware in case you're looking for a little blackjack action. Parking was a breeze, but it was also the day after Christmas, so everyone was returning unwanted gifts and not gambling. i think Augustine is by far the best in the Valley for slots and VP. Their payouts are much better than any Agua property , but that's not news that they suck. The restaurant is great and their free play promotions and food comps are also superior. i've heard that there are only three people that own Augustine and perhaps that has something to do with the better payouts as they don't have to support an entire tribe . Whether that's true or not, Augustine is great value overall for Indian gaming.. They do not have table games and they are not open all night long, it is also a long distance outside of the East Valley.. If if I'm going to play a serious session, I won't go anywhere else. I thought my wife and I found a nice cozy place to go and enjoy dinner and play on occasion, we decided to take our daughter on this occasion, we expected her to be carded due to fact she looks younger than her age of 25.Our experience quickly changed as we walked in we were approached by a female security person that wanted to check my daughter's ID's and then she wanted to check our ID's, she started to take a picture of my ID as I stopped her and asked why do you need a picture of my ID, her excuse was it's there policy, I have never visited a casino where I was subjected to this type of invasive policy and a clear violation of my privacy I'm perfectly ok with verifying my age even though my wife and I are both seniors but taking a picture of my license is a bit of an overreach, I don't need you to store any more information about me than you already do, on a separate occasion I noticed a security guard at night using a flashlight to look in customers cars, I watched to see how many cars he was checking as he checked all the cars parked at the west side of the building. There is nothing so great about this casino that make me, or my wife ever have to go back. This is a great casino. Has two options for food. A quick bites place with pizza and tacos and a full service diner like place. We went to the diner and had their $12 bacon cheeseburger special that comes with fries and a drink. It's cheaper than drive thru and tastes so much better. Big fry portion. Nice warm bun and hot beef patty (I find most drive thru places have lukewarm food at best). The machines are a mix of old school and the most modern machines. After the pandemic, they have improved their operations. Not 24 hr anymore which is okay. No live music on weekends which is also okay and I found it to be a hassle. Large security presence. Everyone is friendly. No buffet like most of the casinos, now. Sometimes its good gaming and sometimes its bad. I find that on peak events and holidays the machines are tight. No table games. No smoking which is okay as well. Like with all casinos the classics are getting removed and replaced with the newer machines which is good/bad on some levels. read more
